Partou Best Friends Day Nursery & Pre-school in Mosley Common has been providing exceptional care and education for babies and children since 1998.

In 2021, the nursery moved to a modern, purpose-built building located on Parr Bridge Retail Park, with five bright and spacious playrooms that promote social and physical development. Children enjoy plenty of extra-curricular activities including swimming lessons and Spanish classes alongside having access to an incredible sensory room and large soft play area.

Modern outdoor environments include a second-floor open area terrace as well as a fabulous all-weather sensory garden, mud kitchen, and dedicated baby green. Parents can keep track of their child’s activities and development using the nursery’s online learning journal.

Delicious, nutritious meals and snacks are freshly prepared in the nursery kitchen, providing children with a balanced diet bursting with fresh vegetables, fruit, meat and fish.

Overall happy with Best Friends - my son has settled really well in the baby room. Erika, Shannon and Lynsey have all been amazing and our son is very settled at the nursery. The only recommendation would be to ensure the app is updated throughout the day. Just as a parent I can see what my son has
been doing - really love it when the pictures go on during the day. Overall really happy with Best Friends. Thank you!

I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough. From the first day my little boy started, they have been incredible. Over the past three years, he has loved every moment in each of the three rooms, gaining wonderful experiences and happy memories.


The staff are exceptional, from the caring nursery

team to the friendly, helpful office staff, who have been amazing from start to finish. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and they always go above and beyond.


The location is perfect, with fantastic facilities and beautiful outdoor areas where the children can play, explore, and thrive. The food is healthy, varied, and well balanced, and the safeguarding is outstanding, with the children's safety, wellbeing, and happiness always put first.


My little boy was welcomed with open arms, and the progress he has made since that first day has been remarkable. I will be gutted when the time comes for him to leave for school, but I am so grateful for everything this nursery has done for him.

I registered my child online and asked to book for a show around to which I never received a call I'll chase this up multiple times to keep being told I will receive a call back the call never came. I called one last time and managed to book my show around, I had not even left the building and was already
emailed for a £75 sign up fee money is the main focus not a happy parent and child, i then has to chase for a start date several times to which I was told family care would call me never received a call it's been over 5 weeks now!
My child started the nursery and was put down for random days I did not choose the office staff did sort this out for me quickly but it's besides the point considering the stress I have already had with the show around and starting, I have then received several invoices which are incorrect and are for quite a substantial amount of money I have questioned this 4 times to be told a complaint has been logged and family care will call me which still hasn't.

The nursery is in a really good location, modern building and facilities. The staff all are good, very friendly. Child is generally happy.
What I would hope they improve on is the monitoring and logging of the child's activities, such as toilet times, what was eaten and quantity. With this improve
the way this is communicated to the parents, the parent zone app is slow and I only see food eaten and other activities on some odd occasions, needs to be more consistent.
Overall happy with the nursery and to send my child here.

I'm absolutely delighted with my Best Friends Day Nursery!
The staff are caring, attentive, and create such a warm and nurturing environment for my little boy. He has blossomed in confidence and enjoys every day walking into the room and then always coming home with a big smile. The activities are
engaging especially the weekly baby ballet, and I truly appreciate the emphasis on learning through play.

Fabulous nursery. My little girl absolutely loves going to pre-school here, she even asks to go in on the days she isn't there.
All staff are so warm and welcoming and so lovely with all the children.
They do such a wide range of activities for the children.

Our son started at Best Friends a little over a year ago. In all that time, he has been nothing but happy and it's been a joy to watch him grow. Now in preschool, his key person is investing so much time and effort into developing our son, we can barely keep up. We are so grateful to our key person
for all he does for our son and for all he does for us as parents in aiding and assisting us in the challenges of raising a toddler. Thank you to him and the team at Best Friends!

My daughter has been going to Best Friends Nursery since she was 9 months old (she is almost 3 now). She settled in great, staff were and are amazing! Very friendly and knowledgeable team, which makes you feel at ease knowing your child is in good hands. The stretch and grow is one of my daughter's
favourite activities there, they definitely know how to get the kids involved with lots of fun educational activities! Every room transition has been gradual with taster days, which really helps. My daughter has developed so well with the help of the nursery, we have noticed changes in her development throughout the years. She absolutely adores all the staff and knows everyone's name! I am sure they know her very well too!
A great nursery and very pleased we picked this one! My daughter will be staying on during preschool as we feel she would prefer being at the nursery to going elsewhere.

Very caring and energetic staff. My child goes willingly and easily to nursery 5 days a week and has a smile on his face when he comes home - which says it all. Staff in the preschool room are attentive and don't shy away from child conflicts which I have seen handled fairly and with care. I am always
informed of any unavoidable issues or accidents in a professional way. I feel like my child is in safe hands with caring staff, having an interesting and varied learning environment and a healthy diet every day!


My son loves stretch and grow and we will be interested to see how Spanish lessons go this month!
It really is an excellent nursery. The set up especially outdoors is great for children to burn off energy. The ball room was a big hit when my son was in toddlers and I feel the staff do a fab job of keep the children engaged in playful learning.

We have loved this nursery since our son started a few years ago. We've really enjoyed seeing his development soar, especially since starting preschool. His key worker is fantastic. He is clearly very passionate about his job and the impact he has on his students. It's always a pleasure to come and
collect my son and seeing all the staff and the positive feedback they are more than happy to share.
My son has also never slept better since starting in this class! It's obvious how stimulated his brain is.

My little boy has been going to Best Friends since he was 9 months old and absolutely loves it. He is now in pre-school and all the staff made the transition so easy and stress-free. Both my girls have been coming to this nursery and both thoroughly enjoy their days here.
The staff are pleasant, friendly and attentive they make you very welcome.
The nursery is bright and comfortable.
Since they’ve started they’ve really come out of their shell, especially with the pandemic

My little boy's time in the Big Babies room has been brilliant. His development has come on leaps and bounds and he has absolutely loved all the girls in the room, especially three staff members. They have taken such good care of him. My little one has now moved into the next room and I am sure that,
after adjusting, he will love it in there just as much.


The parent's evenings are so useful and the daily handovers help you to understand what they have been up to, what they have enjoyed and how they’ve eaten/slept each day.
There is an app which is occasionally updated with photos and information about development. I do wish this was updated more frequently but otherwise, I can’t really fault the nursery, we’ve had a great experience with everyone so far.

My son has attended since he was about 10 months old, and he absolutely loves it. At almost 2 he's about to move into the Toddler room. I could not be happier with the room he is currently in - the staff seem to genuinely care about him. They are great at distracting him during drop off, so he rarely
gets upset. They provide varied activities and he loves stretch and grow! He is absolutely thriving, when I look at the milestones expected at his age he is exceeding them and I give some credit to the excellent care he receives at nursery. When he moved from the baby room I asked for more detailed feedback, so they started a book recording his food, sleeps and activities. So far the contact I have had with the toddler room has been great. They are so positive about my son, and I really feel they will treat him as an individual, and continue to stretch him whilst also looking after him with the same care and attention. Although I would love to see more pictures on the app.
