Situated in the heart of Blackrod, Partou Playdays Day Nursery and Pre-school is a triple Ofsted ‘outstanding’ rated setting (August 2019, October 2013, February 2011), providing exceptional care and education for babies and children up to the age of five.

Set within a beautifully refurbished grammar school building, the nursery has five bright and stimulating playrooms and fantastic outdoor spaces complete with mud kitchen, climbing tree, huge sandpit and an allotment.

Children at the setting also enjoy plenty of extra-curricular activities including music, dance and swimming lessons alongside the hugely popular forest school sessions and trips into the local community. Parents can keep track of their child’s activities and development using the nursery’s online learning journal.

Delicious, nutritious meals and snacks are freshly prepared in the nursery kitchen, providing children with a balanced diet bursting with fresh vegetables, fruit, meat and fish.

From the moment we walked into Playdays we immediately felt a warm welcome by all members of staff! My daughter has loved every day she has spent at Playdays, the staff are so interested and caring towards all children and have their best interests at heart. The staff are so informative when they tell
you about your child’s day it makes you feel very positive and comfortable knowing your child is well looked after. I will be highly recommending Playdays to any new parents looking for a nursery!

My son attended the nursery almost 10 years ago and I loved it then. It was the first place I considered when I had my daughter so that when it came time to choosing a nursery I revisited and it was lovely to see a lot of the same staff still working there. The environment and setting for the children
to learn is fantastic. I have always loved the fact that there are clear departments within the nursery and I know by name who I can speak to, to discuss anything. There are clear goals for the children to achieve, very effective communication from all staff, a lovely nurturing environment and most importantly my daughter loves it. To the point that every time she is dropped off, she runs into the nursery without a look back. I know that my child is well looked after and I feel so content knowing that they know her and her personality. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone.

This is a lovely friendly and child-centred nursery. My child has improved immensely over the time spent at nursery. She is now far more educationally and socially advanced for her age and loves going to nursery.

All the staff at Playdays are amazing! They welcome all the children with open arms and form bonds that are hard to break! They work so hard to make sure all the kids are well looked after and have everything they need. They work with the parents so that you know what your child has done, eaten, slept
all for the day they are there. It's a brilliant nursery and I'm glad I chose this one for my little boy.

Playdays is a fantastic nursery with warm and welcoming professional staff. Throughout the time our children spent there they were immersed in a happy, safe and positive environment, with a constant stream of diverse, engaging and fun activities. It was very clear that each day was carefully structured
to aid their development. Staff truly went the extra mile, putting on special events for mothers' and fathers' days, nativity and graduation. Playdays provided the perfect learning foundations to allow our children to grow and prepare them for 'big school'. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

The culture and ethos at Playdays is fabulous. The kids are very much encouraged to find their own interests and learn about those things. The staff are very warm, friendly and nurturing. My little boy has flourished during his time at nursery. One of my other favourite aspects is the fantastic outdoor

Playdays is a lovely nursery and I'm so happy that both of my little boys attend. The rooms are beautifully set up for the children and all of the teachers and nursery staff are so kind and friendly - they know all of the children not just by name but by personality too. The transitions to each room
have been handled perfectly, especially for more sensitive children. The nursery use an app where they upload photos and comments on what your children have been doing and it's refreshing as the comments always completely reflect my children and their current interests and it just makes me really happy knowing that my children are happy.
I love the fact that the nursery really makes the most of natural resources; yes there are toys but I really like that the teachers will make an activity out of a discarded cardboard box as an example. My two little boys absolutely love being outside whatever the weather and I definitely think this is down to the nursery.

The girls who work here are all excellent, you can see their compassion and caring nature. They genuinely care for all the children as they would their own. I feel confident my little boy is safe and happy when he is at nursery. I would recommend Playdays to anyone who is asking for a nursery in the
area. The 7 am early starts option is something we take advantage of as shift workers, this makes getting our little boy to nursery before we are due to start to work much easier. Thank you for being so caring and helping to make our little boy as confident and social as he is.

My daughter has attended Playdays since she was 9 months old. The staff are amazing. I can’t fault a thing. The staff care so much about the children and there is a true family feel, nurturing and helping them to grow into well mannered, sociable, skilled children. The staff are so friendly and approachable
and from day one I felt my daughter was safe in their care. My daughter has loved her time at Playdays and will miss all the staff immensely. Thank you for everything!

Fantastic nursery in a beautiful setting. Staff are so caring and friendly to the children, they plan activities that really engage them and help their development. The outdoor space is used really well and has great facilities. Our son has loved attending and will really miss all of the staff there.

My daughter absolutely loves attending Playdays. The staff are so caring and look after each child as if they were their own. My daughter doesn’t even look back at me when I drop her off in the morning and she is always so excited when she realises we are pulling up to nursery. I would definitely recommend

The most amazing nursery! Our son has come on leaps and bounds since attending Playdays, he has the best time every day and gets up to all sorts of fun activities with his friends. All the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and know your child's name even if they do not directly look after them. My second
son will also be attending after maternity leave and I have no worries about sending him as I know he will be well looked after. 10/10 for Playdays!

We used Playdays with our first child from 2010 through to 2014, and he still raves now about how much he loved it there. When our second son arrived, we were too late in securing a space in the baby room at Playdays, so had to settle for what was regarded as another ‘outstanding’ nursery in the area.
I’m here to report that no matter the rating of any other nursery in the area, they will not care for your child as much as the team do at Playdays. After a mistreated ten months, now our youngest is at Playdays, he is back on track with his speech and wakes up in excitement to go and see his friends and key worker, which is a stark contrast to him crying every morning. Both of our sons have/are excelling as a result of the excellent work that the teams do at Playdays. Whenever we have any questions about sessions or development, the room leaders are always there to help. The office staff are also amazing at what they do and really go above and beyond. An amazingly passionate bunch.

I cannot even express how much playdays have helped both my children, my eldest is speech delayed and my youngest is autistic. Playdays have been the best nursery, I would only use them. My youngest started in another nursery and I didn't like it at all. I was so glad when I was able to get him into

We love this nursery. Since my daughter joined two years ago, just after her first birthday, she has been excited to go in every single day. Every member of staff is so friendly and approachable and it is really clear how much they care about the children. There are always smiling faces when I drop
her off in the morning and I have never once worried about leaving her. There is a real family atmosphere around the place and the staff are genuinely interested to hear about the children’s home life and interests outside of the nursery and how they can build on that within the nursery. The range of activities is excellent and the outdoor spaces are fantastic and my daughter thoroughly enjoys every minute that she spends here. I am so pleased with how she has developed here and would definitely recommend this nursery to anyone. I only wish that I'd sent my eldest child to Playdays. Massive thanks to everyone at Playdays for all their hard work.

Can’t fault Playdays one bit!
Both my children have attended from an early age till going to school. The staff are amazing, kind, caring and enthusiastic. The environment is perfect with lots of things to keep the children engaged in learning.

When it was time to think about daycare for our first child, it was a daunting task to choose a nursery who could provide the best care. Our daughter flourished during her time there and loved attending and making great friends with her peers and special bonds with her key worker, which prepared her
well for primary school.
So when it was time to send our son to nursery, we had no doubts that Playdays would be our number one choice. Our son really enjoys coming to play with his friends, his development and confidence has soared since he started, he has a fantastic key worker, who he has really taken too, which makes me feel at ease when dropping him off in the mornings. He loves all the activities that the Playdays staff put so much effort and thought into to keep him busy. It’s great to build such a good rapport with the lovely ladies who work at Playdays and it’s especially reassuring to have the same members of staff who looked after our daughter 6 years ago to now be looking after our son!
