Situated in the heart of Blackrod, Partou Playdays Day Nursery and Pre-school is a triple Ofsted ‘outstanding’ rated setting (August 2019, October 2013, February 2011), providing exceptional care and education for babies and children up to the age of five.

Set within a beautifully refurbished grammar school building, the nursery has five bright and stimulating playrooms and fantastic outdoor spaces complete with mud kitchen, climbing tree, huge sandpit and an allotment.

Children at the setting also enjoy plenty of extra-curricular activities including music, dance and swimming lessons alongside the hugely popular forest school sessions and trips into the local community. Parents can keep track of their child’s activities and development using the nursery’s online learning journal.

Delicious, nutritious meals and snacks are freshly prepared in the nursery kitchen, providing children with a balanced diet bursting with fresh vegetables, fruit, meat and fish.

We love this nursery. Since my daughter joined two years ago, just after her first birthday, she has been excited to go in every single day. Every member of staff is so friendly and approachable and it is really clear how much they care about the children. There are always smiling faces when I drop
her off in the morning and I have never once worried about leaving her. There is a real family atmosphere around the place and the staff are genuinely interested to hear about the children’s home life and interests outside of the nursery and how they can build on that within the nursery. The range of activities is excellent and the outdoor spaces are fantastic and my daughter thoroughly enjoys every minute that she spends here. I am so pleased with how she has developed here and would definitely recommend this nursery to anyone. I only wish that I'd sent my eldest child to Playdays. Massive thanks to everyone at Playdays for all their hard work.

Can’t fault Playdays one bit!
Both my children have attended from an early age till going to school. The staff are amazing, kind, caring and enthusiastic. The environment is perfect with lots of things to keep the children engaged in learning.

A fantastic nursery. All the staff are very good with the children. I would highly recommend Playdays as both my children attended from 6 months to 4 years.

When it was time to think about daycare for our first child, it was a daunting task to choose a nursery who could provide the best care. Our daughter flourished during her time there and loved attending and making great friends with her peers and special bonds with her key worker, which prepared her
well for primary school.
So when it was time to send our son to nursery, we had no doubts that Playdays would be our number one choice. Our son really enjoys coming to play with his friends, his development and confidence has soared since he started, he has a fantastic key worker, who he has really taken too, which makes me feel at ease when dropping him off in the mornings. He loves all the activities that the Playdays staff put so much effort and thought into to keep him busy. It’s great to build such a good rapport with the lovely ladies who work at Playdays and it’s especially reassuring to have the same members of staff who looked after our daughter 6 years ago to now be looking after our son!

We first used Playdays last year in 2018 for our eldest son. We were very impressed by the organised and structured approach. Staff were always helpful and polite and able to answer any queries raised. For that reason, we used Playdays again this year but for both our young boys.
Each day was noted
to be different, with a variety in activities and even visits/day trips out. Both boys loved their time at Playdays and made it quite clear that they had fun at each visit.
As a parent that sees the importance of developmental play and learning, I would highly recommend Playdays as a place to use for your young ones.
Keep up the excellent work Playdays and we look forward to seeing you again next summer holidays!

My two daughters have attended Playdays over the last 6 years. The nursery and staff have been fantastic, they have nurtured and cared for both our girls, providing lots of fun and a great learning environment, any issues were resolved quickly and both my daughters have thrived and loved their time
at nursery.
Thank you so much for giving them such a great start, they have both started school happy and confident and settled in straight away.

From the first day we visited Playdays, we knew this was the right place for our girls. They both started around 10 months old and are now 4 and 2 and I can honestly say the kids absolutely love it and I can't say a bad word about it in all that time.
The staff are so so friendly, helpful and very
approachable and the nursery has always had such a welcoming feel to it. I couldn't recommend it enough it really is outstanding!

My little boy attended Playdays for 12 months from the age of 2 and although apprehensive at first, he settled in really well and much sooner than I anticipated. This credit must go to the staff who knew exactly how to handle a clingy child and a worried mum!
The nursery is run in an organised and
competent way with parents always informed of any changes or events happening within the nursery.
Communication is key when it comes to childcare settings and Playdays exceeds at this.
The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming and we were always greeted with a warm welcome at drop off, even from the staff who didn’t look after for my son. I never once picked him up with food all over his face or clothes which has certainly been an issue with other nurseries that I have had experience of.
My little boy was very happy, well cared for and genuinely made to feel welcome at Playdays and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this nursery to other parents.
