Situated in the heart of Blackrod, Partou Playdays Day Nursery and Pre-school is a triple Ofsted ‘outstanding’ rated setting (August 2019, October 2013, February 2011), providing exceptional care and education for babies and children up to the age of five.

Set within a beautifully refurbished grammar school building, the nursery has five bright and stimulating playrooms and fantastic outdoor spaces complete with mud kitchen, climbing tree, huge sandpit and an allotment.

Children at the setting also enjoy plenty of extra-curricular activities including music, dance and swimming lessons alongside the hugely popular forest school sessions and trips into the local community. Parents can keep track of their child’s activities and development using the nursery’s online learning journal.

Delicious, nutritious meals and snacks are freshly prepared in the nursery kitchen, providing children with a balanced diet bursting with fresh vegetables, fruit, meat and fish.

Our daughter has thrived at Playdays. Staff are always friendly and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure our daughter is happy and engaged in the whole experience. We have been beyond impressed by all the extra activities on offer, including the music, swimming lessons and dance classes. Our
only regret is that we did not know about Playdays when sending our two older children to the nursery!

Both of my children have/do attend Playdays and I could not think of a better place for them to be when not with myself. The staff team continue to go above and beyond to ensure that our children are always happy, well cared for and comfortable in the environments that they are in.
Playdays is a nursery
that has still maintained an individual feel despite being part of a large group and that is entirely down to the staff team!
I have seen both my children excel and be open to so many new things since attending Playdays, I cannot thank the staff enough for investing so much effort into our children.
Continue doing amazing. I have no doubt that you will!

My son has recently started at Playdays and the staff have been nothing but supportive. I know when I leave my child, he is loved and cared for and each staff member gives me a full update of how he has been. These transitions are always hard for children at a young age but my son is happily settling
in and I wouldn’t wish to send him anywhere but here. Playdays are an asset to local childcare.

A fantastic early years setting that our son has attended since he was a baby. We’ve always been totally at ease leaving him at Playdays throughout the different stages of him growing up. The staff are open, warm, and friendly but also highly professional. We have nothing but praise for the nursery.
They’ve supported my son and us as parents through difficult stages, as well as encouraging all aspects of his development. I have no doubt that our son will benefit for years to come from the nurture, care, and development he’s received from all the staff at Playdays.

My son has been at Playdays since being a baby and is now 3. He has developed excellent social and academic skills which is a lot down to the brilliant, friendly and hard-working staff at playdays. I am always greeted with a friendly smile from all the staff and made to feel most welcome. The activities
are always varied and fun for the kids to take part in and the food is always good. My son has two helpings most days! Overall a great nursery with a fun and friendly atmosphere with lots of variety for the children.

The best nursery in the area. Best staff, the best playgrounds and classrooms. My son loves going and all the staff are so good with him. My son went on his first school trip and the staff were again fantastic and he enjoyed every minute.

Eternally grateful to this nursery for helping teach my daughter the way of life.
All the staff are lovely nothing is too much trouble when there are changes to move ups etc, they make sure our little ones are fine and the transition well
They soon settle and it’s all thanks to the staff.

A welcoming nursery with lovely staff. Our child enjoys his days at nursery which are filled with indoor and outdoor activities. This is a fantastic nursery and I would definitely recommend it to other parents/carers. The facilitates are excellent and accommodate the children perfectly. The staff are all welcoming and friendly and treat each child with care. My daughter loves going to nursery which, to me, speaks volumes!

Everything at Playdays Blackrod is always to the highest standard. The teachers/staff are amazing, the facilities are great, the food is great and loads of fun/educational activities are planned every day. My daughter has attended for over 4 years and is always excited to go. Highly recommended.

Just a wonderful nursery. The facilities and staff are exceptional. Ever since my daughter joined she has developed and flourished. She loves going into nursery each day and that’s down to the care and dedication of the staff that make her days special and fun.
She learns without knowing and every
week I feel she learns something new. Wouldn’t want her to go anywhere else!

My little boy started at Playdays in Pre-School two months ago. Since he transferred from his old nursery, he has gained confidence and absolutely loves coming to nursery.

All the staff at Blackrod Playdays are incredible. Our daughter has developed so much whilst in their care. She has learned to swim, showing a confidence that I’ve never seen in her before. She was very shy and liked her own company before she started at Playdays, now she demonstrates excellent social
skills, has a lovely group of friends and happily speaks to new people without encouragement from us. The teachers are so caring, nurturing and encouraging. She loves them all. I’m so happy we chose Playdays in Blackrod. If we had another child I wouldn’t hesitate in sending them to the same nursery and preschool.

My daughter has been attending Playdays Nursery for 6 months and right from the start was given such a warm and personal welcome which helped her settle in quickly. The Playdays team are incredibly warm, friendly and nurturing and communicates brilliantly with us, and we have seen our daughter's confidence
and progression over the last 6 months really flourish. The nursery environment is lovely, the activities are creative, interesting and varied and we love getting a full and personal debrief at the end of each day. I would recommend Playdays Nursery to any parent without hesitation and we look forward to her continuing her journey.
