Bright Horizons Nottingham Day Nursery and Preschool (formerly Asquith Nottingham Day Nursery & Pre-school) is a bright purpose-built nursery offering childcare for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

Being located in the David Lloyd Club the children are able to utilize and benefit from the soft play area, tennis courts and swimming lessons which all the children enjoy.

There is a large refurbished garden area that includes age-appropriate spaces for the children to enjoy and explore which enables the staff to use the outdoor area to extend the children's knowledge and development.

Their unique Healthy Hearts and Minds activities provide inspirational and engaging learning experiences using the innovative and well established Boogie Mites and myHappymind programmes.

An enriching Ready for School programme gives every child the opportunity to gain knowledge and confidence to thrive in school and beyond.

The link with David Lloyd Health Club entitles parents to pre and post-natal consultations with a qualified Natal fitness trainer.

All parents registered with the nursery are entitled to a David Lloyd consultation which will support fitness and wellbeing post-pregnancy.

The nursery provides on-site car parking and is situated between two main hospitals, close to local amenities and on a major bus and tram route.

The nursery was rated 'Good' by Ofsted April 2017.

The staff are absolutely lovely! My little one's clothes always come back clean, and although she struggled to settle in at the beginning, she now absolutely loves it thanks to the whole team. Everyone is so patient, caring, and always willing to go the extra mile. We're so grateful - thank you!

We've had an amazing experience at this nursery. My son started when he was 10 months old and his last day was today as we are moving to Australia.
The entire staff are wonderful. I can't express that enough. Management are always available and friendly, and the ladies in the baby room are so lovely.
The nursery is very clean.
My son absolutely flourished here and I spent the afternoon crying because it was so sad to say goodbye. They believe in nurture and he learnt so much.

Since my son has recently started everyone has been really welcoming and friendly and have helped to support him to settle in with such sort notice to him starting. He is always given the support if he finds it overwhelming when being dropped off and he is supported with activities to help settle him.

Members of staff go above and beyond for my son! They go out there way to make sure he's alright and having the most amazing experience and feels secure and comfortable in his surroundings! He is wary of new people and places but took no time to settle in here with the employees and there amazing energy

Excellent nursery. When my daughter was unwell, the teachers monitored her temperature every hour and recorded the information in the app. They also gave her emergency Calpol. When I visited the GP, the doctor was surprised at how well they had been monitoring my daughter's temperature. The doctor even
said this is the best nursery they've come across, as they had never seen such thorough care from any other nursery.

I really wanted to live my review because I am happy with the care my nephew receives here. The facilities very clean and tidy, and like staff very much, all of them are very friendly and professional. I love the nursery app they use, which provides clear information about the child activities throughout

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff ensuring my daughter is looked after every day. From the first day my daughter was very happy and excited to come in to the nursery. Our baby has been at the nursery for seven months, starting at 8 months old, and we;ve seen incredible growth. The staff provides amazing support, offering cuddles when he's unwell. His eating habits have improved and they cater to his interests in music and art. Each morning, our baby points to the
door wanting to go back. The nursery is clean and he hasn't caught any bugs over the summer which is a testament to their hygiene. Outdoor play on sunny days and respecting individual preferences for indoor activities are notable. The friendly staff are fostering his independence beautifully. We couldn't be happier with the care he's been receiving and would recommend this nursery to everyone.

I can't praise the manager and her team enough! They have provided such a wonderful learning experience and care for my daughter. What a very good way to introduce my daughter to preschool, she loves being involved in a lot of activities with her friends. She comes up with new things that she learned
from Bright Horizons. They are supporting my daughter in the right way and update us on her development. The app is also so handy to keep an eye on my daughter's daily meal and how much she has eaten - this gives me peace of mind and I know how to adjust her meals after preschool. If you are thinking of sending your child to this preschool, please do so, it is something that is really worth it.

Can't fault anything about the nursery in our experience. The staff are so nurturing and caring, and the communication is brilliant. Everyone knew my son's name so quickly and all the staff say hello every time. The food is varied and fantastic and they always seem to have exciting activities.

Really appreciative of the games they play with the kids and the materials used. Less plastic, more wook and plastic free materials. The garden upgrades were all inhouse, so many ideas for games that are recycled materials or objects and play ideas that are sustainable, also recently been sharing great
ideas and tips of games and kid entertainment with parents to try over the weekend. My girls are always well cared for, given all the focus and attention they need to thrive.

My 10-month-old has been going to the nursery for a month now. I was nervous at first since he is so young but the manager put our minds at ease and went through everything about the nursery. The app is great as it gives me peace of mind and I can always check to see what my baby is up to during the
day. Since starting the nursery, my son has become more confident and sociable. He has already formed a bond with the staff in his room and enjoys playing with the other children. All of the staff are great and warm towards the children. The facilities are clean and meals are freshly prepared and healthy. I am so happy we chose this nursery and highly recommend booking a visit.

Bright Horizons have gone above and beyond our expectations to provide our child with state-of-the-art amenities, a positive, fun environment in which our child could thrive in, constant communication via the app before/after drop-offs and following an excellent curriculum for learning. They have offered
advice and support throughout our time, and our daughter has loved every second of it. Her recent graduation was one of the best days of our lives, and all praise to the effort every member of the staff put in to make the children's day special.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

My name is Krupa and I am the manager at Bright Horizons Nottingham. I started my journey with Bright Horizons in 2021 along with my children who attend the nursery. Whilst completing my BA Hons Degree in Childhood Studies in 2009, I knew very early on that I wanted my career path to be within the Early Years sector.


I have worked in numerous schools, children's centres, Private Education and orphanages, where I have been able to learn and develop in all my roles and I believe that I am still learning every day.


My passion is to make a difference to the children and the team I work with, along with supporting them.


I truly believe that our environment is the child’s first educator and by having core principles children are able to flourish and be ready for the wider society. I am excited to be working at Bright Horizons Nottingham and be part of developing this welcoming nursery further.
