Edwalton provides a warm and welcoming environment where children are encouraged to learn through play.

Every day is packed full of activities, implemented by highly trained practitioners, following EYFS principles.

The large, fully equipped outdoor space offers daily learning experiences through the seasons. Fruit and vegetables are carefully tended to by children in their growing patches.

Edwalton also offer the extracurricular activity of Mini Athletics once a week for the Preschool children. 

Open from 7.30am-6.30pm with a fully inclusive care package, Edwalton offers a convenient service to parents.

Great school, teachers are the difference! Very caring and remember lots of details about my child. Good ratio of students to teachers. Cost is a little higher than other neighbourhood nurseries.

My youngest daughter started at Edwalton a couple of months ago. She settled so quickly and is so happy in the baby room. She reaches for the key workers and gives me a big smile and a wave. It is so nice knowing I am leaving her somewhere she is so happy. The care and attention she receives must make
her feel safe and secure.

We have always felt reassured that our little boy is in safe hands at Edwalton.
From the baby room through to preschool we have got to know the staff and them us.
Our wishes have been complied with and his needs met.
He has learnt so much during his time at Edwalton and made some lovely friends.
I
personally will miss the familiarity, warm welcome each morning and happy faces when he goes to school.
I hope the teachers and staff at his infant school will be just as reassuring and caring of him.

Since my daughter has stated Ladybirds she has flourished. She has grown in confidence and her personality. The staff are fantastic with her and are brilliant at encouraging her to reach her milestones. I find the staff very approachable and accommodating. I know she absolutely loves coming here and
she gets so excited when I talk about her friends and staff.

My son started this nursery in November, having spent 2 years at another setting. The experience here has been outstanding! Staff are more than qualified, friendly attentive and you can see they genuinely love looking after the children. They are busy all day and love the variation of activities set
out each day. My son and I had a bad experience with the other setting and Edwalton Day Nursery surely has restored our faith in childcare. They are in my opinion, amazing!

Nursery is 100% flexible which as a single working mother is very reassuring.


Helping to have my son at no notice when inevitable work predicament arose.


All staff are so very personable and pay attention to my son and his likes/dislikes and his needs are met every day without fail.

I have been very happy with the nursery. My son enjoys his time here and it can be difficult to get him to leave. I think the 'golden values' system is very good. My daughter also attends the nursery and has become more confident and open as she was wary of other people before starting at Edwalton Day

I have nothing but positive things to say about how Edwalton Day Nursery (Nottingham) they welcomed my two and a half-year-old son. The team have shown extra care to ensure he has settled in very well. He skips into nursery in the morning and is excited to see his key worker and the team. I have absolute
confidence that he is well looked after and is so happy. The facilities and outside space are impressive but it is the care from the staff that really impressed me.

Pleased with the provision at the nursery specifically the detail of the learning journey against the EYFS statements and the child-centred approach re. meeting individual needs. The staff in the Bumblebees room are great and my youngest daughter loves her time in there.
Having seen many staff changes over the years, this is the best I have seen it in the room.
Consistency and quality are key and this is evident!

The staff in the Ladybird room have been fantastic with my daughter who has food allergies.
All of them are exceedingly attentive to her dietary needs and repercussions when she eats an allergen.
One member of staff in particular looks after my daughter the way I would; extra nappy checks, watching
her symptons of an allergic reaction, changes in her mood etc.
His attention to detail is exceptional and consequently my daughter has a superb relationship with him.
Thank you, it's a weight off my mind knowing that you're looking after her.

My son started nursery when he was 11 months old - we were thrilled with the care and effort that went into settling him in.
His confidence developed wonderfully as a result of the members of staff in his room. When my son was 15 months he moved up to the next room. The transition was brilliant and
so thought out.
Our son absolutely loves coming to nursery, which, as a parent is such a relief.

Love this nursery. I had looked around loads but knew instantly with this one. Love the building/outside space. I was firstly drawn to the manager who is very welcoming, chatty and lovely. All other staff I am in contact with are very good, professional and helpful and most of all, my daughter loves
it here!!

Sarah is the Manager of Edwalton Day Nursery in Nottingham and has a wealth of experience, having worked in the early years sector since 1996. Sarah has been with Childbase Partnership since 2016.


What is your favourite feature of Edwalton?
My favourite feature of the nursery is the outdoor learning environment and the woodland area.


What are you most proud of about your team/nursery?
When I walk around the nursery and hear all the high-pitched squeals and excitement from the children in the rooms who are engaged in all areas of learning. My staff make me proud for making this more than a dream but a reality.
