I would just like to say thank you to Edwalton Day Nursery/Ladybirds room, as my little girl has settled in well into nursery life. We’ve only been at the nursery for 4 weeks and my little one has settled really well into Ladybirds and has made some lovely relationships with the staff team already.
So happy to see my little girl settle, it feels so reassuring when am dropping her off. It’s a great start to my day, thank you to Edwalton Day Nursery.

Our little girl is being well supported on her transition from the ladybird room into her next room which will be the bumblebee room. Have been well kept up to date regarding her visits. And advised on what we can do to help with toilet training.

My daughter started at Edwalton Day Nursery during lockdown, and from the start, I was reassured that she would be well looked after; two years on, and she absolutely loves going. She does three full days a week and has formed some great relationships with staff and the children. Her social skills are
fantastic, and I think that has a lot to do with attending nursery and learning to be around different people from a young age.
They are very good at planning tasks and fun things for the children to do, whether it be painting, making things, stories or playing outside. It’s a lovely nursery.

The thing that makes this nursery so amazing is the staff. They are full of energy, and very encouraging and loving towards my daughter. She has blossomed through each of the rooms and my child loves going to the nursery. The rooms have lots to do and you get updates on progression via the app which
is great to see.
It's not just the staff in the rooms that show an interest in our experience, the kitchen staff offered advice on diet restrictions which really helped and the admin and management team do their best to assist when I've asked. Everyone has been fantastic.
I would definitely recommend Edwalton Day Nursery to anyone looking for a nursery. It's been a great place for my daughter to start her learning experience. Thanks.

Edwalton Day Nursery has been an integral part of my family. My eldest attended and now my youngest, and both boys have always been happy going and talk about all the exciting activities and events that happen. The team are bright, cheery and very qualified to care for and bring joyful learning to them.
I've always been confident that they have a great day. Thank you to the incredible outside space and learning facilities.

This setting has been transformational for our two girls. They have instilled confidence to try new things, instilled politeness, and truly ensured our eldest is ready for the big step of primary school. We can't thank you enough!

Really happy with our son's first month at nursery it's hard for baby and parents settling-in but the staff have been very supportive. There's plenty to keep him entertained and I love the newsletter telling us what all the rooms have planned for the next week. I love that they get outdoors every day
they can and all rooms have their own area to play.

I'm so pleased we chose Edwalton Day Nursery. Our little boy started in the caterpillar (baby) room at 10 months old and has now been attending for just over 3 months and has settled in wonderfully. The staff really care for my little one and his development and wellbeing and I trust them completely.
The staff are knowledgable and respect each child for their individual character. They've been a huge support to us as parents during a challenging few months and the management team have also been very supportive. The activities always keep my little one entertained and the space, especially outdoors is lovely. The menu is varied and healthy. My boy is always clean (except for a bit of dinner or paint as expected) and well cared for and the staff always make us aware of any accidents (which of course happen to a nearly toddling baby) and are very attentive when he's not been well. They provide regular photos and development updates which we really appreciate. Excellent 10/10.

Edwalton is a great nursery with amazing and attentive staff. My child has been attending since he was 7 months old and we have never had any problems, he absolutely loves attending. The staff are fantastic at making the children feel at ease with room transitions and settling in. They were brilliant
and on the ball all throughout lockdowns and with the ever changing covid protocols.

My little boy started nursery in July 2021. It has been a wonderful experience and it makes it so much easier leaving him when he’s so happy at nursery.
So far he has been in Caterpillar and Ladybird rooms and all the staff have been brilliant. They clearly have formed close bonds and care about him.
He’s also made friends with the other children.
I also really appreciate everyone else who contributes to running the nursery so smoothly. From the first communication I had when we enquired to date they’ve been outstanding.
Due to Covid we had to pick a nursery without seeing children playing etc and I was nervous but I couldn’t be happier - it’s been an all-round excellent experience and would highly recommend Edwalton Day Nursery.
The only thing I would like more of is updates/photos on his days, particularly as we still can’t go in to see him playing.

We visited Edwalton Day Nursery 8-years ago and knew it was the place for our children. Both daughters have now "graduated" and are in school with the youngest having finished at nursery last week. We are eternally grateful for what the team at Edwalton have done for our kids. They have supported, developed
and moulded them into amazing little girls. On top of this, the way that they ensured that during the last 18-months (in unprecedented times), our children felt safe and continued their development. Without a shadow of a doubt, we would recommend the nursery to family and friends, and in fact, do so regularly.

The quality of a nursery really shines through not when things are easy, but when things are difficult. My son had a period of very disruptive, difficult and damaging behaviour. The nursery staff were excellent at helping to manage his behaviour and tried differing strategies to help my son, who was
going through a difficult phase emotionally.
The nursery staff realised more support was needed for my son and made an application to the healthcare trust which would provide more support for his needs.
I just wanted to say thank you to the staff at Edwalton Nursery as their skill, care and dedication to the children in their care is excellent.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.806) out of 10 for Edwalton Day Nursery (Nottingham) is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 18 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 18 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.856 for Edwalton Day Nursery (Nottingham) is calculated as follows: ( (187 Excellents x 5) + (27 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 216 Ratings = 4.856
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.95 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Edwalton Day Nursery (Nottingham) is based on 18 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.95
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 88 number of registered child places is 17.6, which has been reached with 18 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

What is your favourite feature of Edwalton?
My favourite feature of the nursery is the outdoor learning environment and the woodland area.

What are you most proud of about your team/nursery?
When I walk around the nursery and hear all the high-pitched squeals and excitement from the children in the rooms, who are engaged in all areas of learning. My staff make me proud for making this more than a dream but a reality.
