Children 1st Toton Nursery School

My daughter has been at Children 1st @ Toton since September and I couldn't be happier with the staff and quality of care. This is my second child to attend the nursery, my older child now being at school. With both children, I have been happy with the attitudes of staff and the levels of communication. My children both enjoyed nursery and have thrived. Staff are approachable and build good relationships with the children. It is lovely to hear about what the children have done, in addition to receiving photos and being invited to stay and play sessions too.

A fantastic nursery! My son has been going to nursery from 9 months and we are so happy with the service we got. The staff were very friendly and my son loves being at Children 1st @ Toton. They had a fantastic learning environment with wonderful activities for the children to engage in. Would definitely recommend it to family and friends.

My child has only been attending a short time but has already developed his confidence with other children and adults which is reassuring. Thank you!

Toton Nursery is a welcoming place for children. From what I have experienced it allows children to be supported and encouraged to grow and learn in a kind and friendly environment. Each key worker has created a lovely bond with both myself and my child.

The nursery has options for early drop-off at a cheap rate. The staff are friendly. The nursery has an electronic check-in and check-out system, as well as an app to keep parents updated. My son is very happy here.

Staff at all stages have been wonderful. My son is absolutely thriving here and I never worry about leaving him. They are fantastic! A change in room really unsettled him and they made a lot of effort to help him, it was very much appreciated.

The nursery offers settling-in sessions for new children. Children are assigned a key worker and are given a bag and a day book to take home with updates about food, toileting, sleeps, etc. Varied meals are prepared onsite. The staff are friendly and caring. There are handovers every day and regular parent’s evenings. The nursery space itself is clean and there are lots of toys and resources. Everything is in good working order and is well maintained. There is a big outdoor space with a whole host of toys and the children go outside in all weathers. They do all kinds of activities with the children, including baking. There are quite a lot of dress-up days, so brace yourself for that! There is a parent app, where weekly observations of your child’s development are uploaded, along with pictures of the activity they are completing. Parents are given a key fob to gain access to the nursery and electronically sign in and out. There is a home-from-home feel and genuine care here for all.

A fabulous nursery! We always speak highly of Children 1st Toton. Both our girls have a great time here. Everyone is so friendly, and super thorough with feedback and we particularly find this nursery very creative in the tasks they set the children. Overall super happy here!

I can’t speak highly enough of this fantastic nursery. They care for the children like they were their own. They do such lovely presents and gifts that the children have made for Christmas, it really adds something special that they have taken time to do that. I don’t think they realise how lovely that is for the parents. Nothing is too much trouble and I always fell that I am a individual parent as is my child rather than just a number. This is my second child going though Children 1st Toton and I wouldn’t hesitate to to recommend other parents to them (I have a few that are already there after the recommendation). Thank you for all you do for not only the kids but the parents and carers too.

The resources that are accessible for the children are fantastic, along with the outdoor space.

The staff are lovely and attentive, they do various activities with the children and it’s nice that the kids have the opportunity for different experiences such as meeting the firemen, understanding the recycling process, baking bread. I loved the apple story for teaching the children the importance of being kind. The team went above and beyond to deliver a great nativity play and I can see the growth, development and confidence within my child.

We are very happy with Children 1st. All the staff are polite and obviously care a lot about the children. I always feel welcome and the facilities are clean and age-appropriate. Office staff are polite and extremely helpful. Activities are well planned and you can clearly see the learning intentions while still following children’s interests. I feel that my daughter is well cared for and the staff have helped her settle into nursery very well.

We are very happy with the nursery, nothing is too much of an ask and my son seems very happy there. The staff are very friendly and my son often comes home showing us all the new things he's learnt!

Lovely, friendly staff who always take time to talk to parents and really get to know the children. My daughter loves going and her confidence and social skills have come on so much. It’s such a relief as a working parent to know your child is cared for so well!

Our child started nursery in January, he settled in quickly and loves coming, the ladies are caring and lovely. They always have new activities planned to keep them entertained and provide detailed feedback each day on what they have been doing.

Lovely educational nursery my daughter is 3 and has been here since 1.5 years old she loves being at Children 1st Toton. She has a great bond with all staff and made lovely friends but has also come on leaps and bounds since starting, brilliant nursery, would highly recommend it to anyone!
