Nene Valley Day Nursery is a caring and nurturing nursery conveniently situated in the centre of Northampton and located inside the general hospital grounds.

It provides care for children from 3 months old – 5 years, with all children's rooms on the ground floor with direct access to their own garden.

This friendly nursery has a well established and highly qualified team of enthusiastic early years professionals providing extensive activities to spark each child’s curiosity to learn.

They are proud to have achieved the Green Flag award for their commitment to environmental projects. They also have an eco-committee and children's council to allow opportunities for children to freely express their voice.

*7am start is available at an additional cost to non NHS families. Standard opening time is 7.30am.

We have 2 girls in the nursery (aged 1 and 3). The staff are amazing at caring for our children. They are both always happy to go to nursery and always talk about the staff at home. The communication is excellent, we feel well-informed about our children's development and what they do each day they
attend. Everyone is approachable and friendly. Would highly recommend!

Our experience has been fantastic. The staff are friendly and helpful, always giving us the time of day. We get good feedback on how the day has gone and staff work well with us to achieve meet our children's needs really well.
Communication is quick and information is thorough.
The staff clearly
love children and the children are safeguarded within the setting. They show appropriate concern for any accidents that occur at home and within the nursery. Overall, a very good experience.

Good quality of care. Wonderful, passionate staff. Tasty, nutritional food. The quality of care and attention to detail has been amazing from my grandson's first day at nursery. There is a long-standing staff team working here with lots of experience and they are very helpful and knowledgeable. The
food provided is wonderful! He eats like a little king and I know he is getting the best quality food and ingredients during his day. The all-inclusive service means me and my daughter don't have to worry about what needs packing for the day and the parent app has been great at keeping us updated on all the fun he is having. Such a good experience so far. The best choice in nursery.

The best nursery I've ever seen. Absolutely excellent at everything they do. Staff are welcoming, children have many interesting activities, well looked after, tidy. I feel safe that my daughter attend this nursery. Also staff remember childrens' names and always welcome them with smiles and entertain

My daughter started nursery at the beginning of September and the change in her has been amazing. Her confidence and her speech has come on leaps and bounds.
The nursery, staff and bumblebee room are lovely.
So much to do for the children.
My daughter formed great attachments with the staff. The
staff overall are friendly, care for the children they look after and for me as a parent, it is a lovely atmosphere. I'm so glad I chose this nursery - one happy mum!

I am very happy with the overall service provided by Nene Valley. From taking care of the meals, nappy changes and sleep routine, to making sure that our child feels loved and settled - Nene Valley is doing a great job. The meals are great, including all kinds of variations and full of nutrition. The
staff overall, especially members of the Caterpillar room are so involved with the kids, even when my child does not attend, the courtesy call from the admin and everyone showing concern when even a minor inconvenience happens has really built my trust in your care. I appreciate each and all of you, I couldn't be more grateful. Please keep doing what you are doing and maintain the excellence.

Nursery is amazing. Both my girls have been here since they were 11/12 months old. Now 4 and 2, Nene Valley Day Nursery have helped them come on leaps and bounds. Would recommend Nene Valley Day Nursery to everyone. Staff are amazing.

Being a first-time mum and going back to work sooner than expected was incredibly difficult - however, the team in the caterpillar room have made it incredibly easy. They care for my little boy like one of their own and ensure he is safe, comfortable and stimulated at all times. Their personalised care
to both of us has been exemplary and compassionate. I couldn't ask for a better experience, every practitioner takes time to get to know him on an individual basis and is dedicated to all the children in their care with clear knowledge and passion.

I have three children who have attended this nursery. My youngest attends now and they're brilliant with him. They have taught him so much like - writing his name and doing his zip up. All of the staff are amazing and always have time for us. Great facilities and events/activities.

My daughter has been attending the nursery since she was 7 months old and now she is coming to the end of her nursery journey. Jade Shillington

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2019

Jade is the Manager of Nene Valley Day Nursery and has a wealth of experience, having started in the early years sector at the age of 17 as an Apprentice. Jade completed her Level 3 in Childcare before having her own child, then went on to complete Level 3 and Level 5 in Leadership and Management. Jade started working for Childbase in 2019.


What is your favourite feature of your nursery?
I love how the nursery feels so warm and inviting; we have a great combination of fixed purpose, authentic and more natural resources In every room to really spark the children's curiosity and engage them in their learning and exploration.


What are you most proud of about your nursery/team?
I absolutely love my team; they are dedicated, passionate and supportive of all our families and one another. Striving for outstanding care is at the forefront of everything we do.
