Children 1st Grantham Nursery School is situated close to the town centre, with easy access to local bus routes and the train station. The nursery is rated as 'Good' by Ofsted (May 2022).

The environment has been refurbished throughout with bright, open areas for babies, toddlers, early years and out-of-school children aged up to 12-years-old.

Friendly, experienced and well-qualified staff are available to give children and parents the support they need.

Staff to children ratios are even better than Ofsted recommend and the nursery offers funded places for eligible children 2, 3 and 4-year-olds.

Absolutely love Children 1st. Such a welcoming atmosphere and all of the staff are friendly, loving and caring towards all of the children. My children have been in the baby room and 2-3 year room and they are both well equipped with lots to do inside and out. My children are often coming home with
pictures that they have made, cakes that they have baked, sunflowers that they have planted, cards and treats.
Each week there is a rotating healthy menu, complete with snacks throughout. Very impressive food.
In the beginning, I hated leaving my children but all the staff made me feel at such ease and would really comfort the children rather than just 'supervising' them and now they love going. It feels like a big family.
You can track their progress and see photos online which is an extra bonus.
The management are amazing, if there has ever been any questions they are quick to answer or address any issues, so flexibility and will help with anything they can. 100% recommend.

I work full time and looked a few nurseries and this one was the one that engaged me straight away, he has been with them for 3 years now and I can't fault the setup or staff. I would highly recommend Grantham branch. Thank you to everyone that look after my little boy.

A fun and varied learning place for my little boy. Lots of different activities set up every morning for the children. Lovely friendly staff, the dinners and snacks given are healthy and varied and my little one is always full up. The nursery is safe and clean and I feel confident leaving my little
boy there in the care of all of the nursery nurses.

Children 1st are an amazing nursery. My son loves it and made new friends. He has learned so much and gained confidence. He was very welcomed and always asks if he can nursery every day to play. He also tells me how much he loves the teachers there. He has progressed so much over the years and will
be starting school this year.

Children 1st @ Grantham is amazing and helped our son settle in brilliantly.The staff are very friendly and caring. There are great learning plans in place and the food is great. I would highly recommend this nursery to friends and family.

After 2 years at another nursery, we were worried about moving our daughter. Children 1st have been amazing and helped our daughter (and us) settle in brilliantly. We looked at several nurseries and this was the best we saw. Our daughter loves it and adores the staff. There are great learning plans
in place and the food is great. A great nursery.

Our son has absolutely loved his time at the nursery so far. He settled in really quickly and the staff made us feel at ease from our initial visit. All ofthe staff are very accommodating and 100% professional at all times. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this nursery. By far the best in Grantham!

My daughter has been attending Children 1st for nearly three years and in that time I've been able to watch her make friends, join in activities, learn and become a well adjusted, confident little girl. She's quite sensitive and not great with change and the nursery have helped her with this and now
she's looking forward to school. The nursery has been a great support for me and our family and our second daughter has now joined and is also loving her time here. I don't think there are enough words to express our gratitude. The staff and manageress are exceptional. No better people to look after our little girls.

My daughter has been at Children 1st for 18 months and has loved every minute. She has come on leaps and bounds in terms of confidence, interaction with other children, sharing, as well as with her reading and writing and this is all down to the staff at Children 1st. They are so patient and understanding
and always spend some quality one to one time with her particularly with her reading. My daughter graduated yesterday and I feel happy and confident that she is now ready for school and that's down to Children 1st. Thank you!

I love Children 1st Nursery in Grantham.
My daughter has been going there for just over 6 months now and I can't be happier for her.
I feel very comfortable with the atmosphere, clean, large rooms with huge Windows, the children seem happy, the manager and my daughter's key worker are just great
as well as all the staff there.

My daughter has been made very welcome, the nursery were very flexible in terms of her settling in period and made her and myself feel comfortable before she formally started, I think I needed this more than she did. Her key worker is brilliant and has worked with us to adapt to my daughters routine
and care for her in a way which supports how we do things at home. Always checking in to see if she can/needs to do anything differently. The nursery facilities are great, daily dairies help you know what's been happening during they day but your key worker will give you a full debrief at the end of every day so great parent/nursery communication.

Excellent staff and always friendly welcome, my daughter loves going so I love taking her. Excellent facilities and activities all really well planned, and plenty of outdoor space to play in with plenty of stimulating toys. Meals are planned in advance and look really tasty with plenty of healthy snack
fruit. Feedback is recorded in each individual book with verbal feedback at the end of each day which is detailed. Overall a great nursery I can't praise enough.

Hello, I'm Paula Bunn, Manager at Children 1st @ Grantham.
I have over 20 years childcare experience in different settings and roles. I have the level 3 NNEB qualification, an NVQ in Team Leading and an NVQ in Management.
I started working at the Grantham nursery 3 years ago as a Senior Nursery Nurse in the under 2s unit and was promoted to Deputy Manager overseeing the under 3s unit in January 2014, also supporting our EYT and Manager with the day to day running of the Early Years unit and Nursery as a whole.
I am really enjoying my new role as manager at our Outstanding nursery.
I am extremely passionate about the nursery I work in as I was born nearby and get tremendous job satisfaction seeing the wonderful children we look after learn and develop in a happy, safe and stimulating environment. I am also very proud to work for Children 1st, working with the staff at every level to be `The Best`.
