Having used this nursery before, we knew what to expect when our 2nd child attended. Great staff and they will always accommodate you where possible.

It's a hard decision finding the right nursery for the most precious little one in your life. I looked around lots of nurseries but when I came to Children 1st @ St Peter & St Paul I felt instantly that it was the right nursery for us. Although a big nursery, the children are sectioned off into little
groups of activities. Even in early years, they seem to have a really good adult to child ratio and that's what I really liked. There is always someone on reception to greet you, the key workers of the children really get to know your child and I like that too. Recently I dropped my son off late and I was amazed at what the classes were doing, I knew they did these things but I'd never seen it first hand before. They were baking cookies, crafting, in the garden, reading and doing musical instruments in their groups. It was fantastic to see. Every child seemed happy, engaged and very settled. I highly recommend Childre 1st @ St Peter & St Paul. Our son has been very happy here and has learnt so much.

I am very happy with the nursery and its facilities. The staff are amazing and very caring. My little boy took a long time to settle in and they were all very patient and caring with him. The only negatives are the waiting list times and the high cost.

My 4-year-old daughter has been going to this nursery since she was 5 months old and I am extremely happy with her progress. I get numerous amount of compliments and people asking which nursery she goes to! I have my 1-year-old daughter currently in the baby room too and she loves it. It's such a lovely
feeling going to work knowing your children are being looked after with 100% dedication.

My son has attended the nursery since January 2015 and has progressed from Baby Suite all through to Early Years.
Staff on every level are professional, friendly, helpful and caring and we have developed special relationships with all of his key workers and communication and feedback is always excellent.
Our
nursery journey is coming to and end as we will start full-time school this September - I am confident that we made the right choice of nursery at Children 1st @ St Peter & St Paul and am thankful to the team for their role in my son's development. The Early Years Team offer an excellent learning base that is preparing us for our transition into primary school brilliantly.

Excellent nursery. My daughter has attended here for over two years. The team there feel like family now. I know that I am always leaving her in great hands. The staff there are second mums, teachers and friends combined. We will be sad to leave in September when my daughter starts school. Family and
friends comment on the development of my daughter and it is down to the hard work and support of the staff at Children's 1st @St Peter and St Paul nursery.

Had two children use this nursery and it is outstanding in every respect. Well organised, good communication, staff are polite, helpful and most importantly genuinely care about the children. The children enjoy each day here and the activities are varied and well managed.
The staff are fantastic at
developing the children, through education and recreational activities and the children get lots of outdoor play time and exercise.

My daughter loves going to nursery. She is always busy playing a variety of games and activities. They always spend some time each day outside which I feel is really important. I am very pleased with the amount of knowledge she has gained during her time there. She regularly surprises me with the things
she knows! And I feel that the nursery has prepared her well for school in September.

It has been such a pleasure to watch my granddaughter develop and grow whilst she has been in nursery at St Peter & St Paul School.
The staff have always been welcoming to myself and as well as the lovely greeting to my granddaughter every day that we go. The simulation, encouragement and education
that she has received has been excellent.
I am so pleased that she has spent her early years at such a wonderful nursery with such devoted staff.

In a nutshell, my little boy absolutely loves it at nursery. He's excited when we arrive there in a morning and always happy when I pick him up. The staff are kind, professional and really helped with the settling in process. I'm amazed how much my little one has come on with his development since starting
there. It's obvious that the staff spend quality time with each child. Thanks for giving us peace of mind that he's happy, safe and well cared for whilst we are at work.

Both our children currently attend St Peter & St Paul's Nursery, our little boy since he was 18 months old and is now 4 years old and in his final term before he starts school. He is confident, intelligent and has a brilliant personality and we owe much of this to the lovely staff who have cared for
him for the last 3 years. He loves coming to nursery, has lots of friends and always talks about what he and his friends have been up to that day with excitement. Our little girl started at 7 months old and after only a few sessions she would go to her key worker and not even cry! Now she is 15 months old and walks into her class and waves us goodbye, she has lots of fun and again is very confident and developing in all areas very quickly. Whilst at work, we love receiving photos and updates via the e-log to see what that are both doing. We are very happy that we chose St Peter & St Paul's and feel we have given our children a great start in life!

I am delighted with my daughter's nursery experience, she doesn't like change and it took her a long time to settle but the nursery staff have been so patient and caring with her that she is now really happy and dropping her off is easy. I really appreciate how she has been treated as an individual
and been allowed to develop at her own pace. Her key worker in particular has been wonderful and now we are moving to the next room will really miss her. The nursery is beautifully presented and equipped, great food and fantastic staff.

My Son started nursery over 18 months ago and goes two mornings a week. As a parent when the time comes to go back to work it is such a tough call but leaving my child in the care of Children's 1st Nursery St Peter and St Pauls has been by far my best decision, the attention to detail and the personal
touch of every member of staff makes you feel completely at ease, with the nursery itself being developed to such a high standard my son looks forward to going and has made lovely friends. We look forward to his regular elog progress reports and feel he has come on leaps and bounds. We always recommend you to our friends as the staff and quality of care is impeccable.

Current Review Score: 9.0 (8.997)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.0 (8.997) out of 10 for Children 1st St Peter & St Pauls is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.0 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.991 for Children 1st St Peter & St Pauls is calculated as follows: ( (107 Excellents x 5) + (1 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 108 Ratings = 4.991
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.006 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Children 1st St Peter & St Pauls is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 = 3.7
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 147 number of registered child places is 29.4. 9 Positive Reviews ÷ 29.4 = 0.306
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
