We have always felt welcome in the nursery ever since we came for a visit for our little girl. Everyone at Children's 1st St Peter and St Paul's is professional, polite and has a passion for their job. If we could choose again to send our little girl to a nursery we would absolutely choose St Peter
and St Paul's again.

She comes home safe and sound, well-fed and cared for every single time. When our friends start having children we will be recommending them to come to St Peter and St Paul's.

Our daughter has attended Nursery over the last 3 years & loves it like a second home. As a parent you want to know your child is truly seen, and the staff here demonstrate a genuine interest in her wellbeing, safety, and learning on a daily basis.
The range of activities offered to the children are
outstanding, as is the grub!
The communication is second to none and we consistently feel well-informed, whether it's regarding the tiny details of her day or more significant milestones.
We have full peace of mind upon dropping her off to collecting her that she is well cared for. We are ever grateful for the way in which the staff invest into her future through such dedication. We couldn't ask for more!

I couldn't be happier with the care and support our child has received at this Nursery. From the very beginning, the staff have been warm, welcoming, and genuinely invested in our child's wellbeing and development. Most importantly, our child is happy, settled and excited to attend, which speaks volumes!

Hollie is simply lovely and brilliant at her job- she's so patient with my son and he loves her. The whole nursery is well equipped and clean with plenty of things for the children to do. My son especially loves a trip to the woodland

Staff are all incredible to both children and parents, I could not wish for a nicer environment for my children to grow and thrive in.

My eldest was prepared for moving into reception in the best possible way by the team. My youngest is now making their way through the setting and thriving.

I

can't thank the staff enough and would recommend this nursery to everyone.

We absolutely love this nursery and so does our daughter. The staff know her so well and she's learning so much that she's even started teaching us new nursery rhymes and games to play. Everyone is always really friendly and really switched on, the activities are really engaging for the kids and the
staff are really helpful with hints and tips for how to help develop (and manage) the kids at each stage in their learning.
Reply from Jessica Griffin, Marketing Executive at Children 1st St Peter & St PaulsThank you so much for your lovely feedback. It's fantastic to hear how well your daughter is thriving with us and that she's even sharing new songs and games at home! We're so pleased you value the strong relationships our team build with the children and families, and we'll be sure to pass your kind words on to everyone.

My daughter went to this nursery from 18 months old until she started school. Never once did she come home saying she's been bored. They have plenty to entertain the children with, keeping them happy and busy. She always loved her key worker and created such a bond with them that it was like a breakup
whenever she moved up to another part of the nursery.
My daughter has food allergies, and the staff made sure she got separate mats and plates, so she received the correct food. They don't miss out on anything but get a decent equivalent to not feel left out.
I signed my little boy up once he was in my belly to secure a spot. Only a good nursery would be this busy! I feel confident that he'll equally have an amazing time and I look forward to seeing all the friendly staff again who go above and beyond for the children.

I’ve been bringing my two boys for a total of almost five years now.
The staff here are my absolute village. They love and care for my boys like I would. Without judgment too.
They truly are the village every parent needs.
Yes, the facilities are great, yes, they serve great, wholesome food, take
the kids in the woods and things are clean and well-maintained but none of that matters in comparison to the love my boys receive and have for the staff here.
Thank you guys for helping me raise my boys and making such an impact on the future.
I’m very grateful to you all.
Reply from Emma Goodall, Director of Quality Assurance at Children 1st St Peter & St PaulsThank you so much for such a heartfelt review. I am at the nursery today and have just shared this with the team and they are in tears at your kind words! It is a pleasure and a privilege to care for your children and is a responsibility that the staff never take for granted. We are lucky to have such a dedicated team that truly cares about what they do. I will ensure there are treats in the staff room this week to celebrate and thank every one of them.

My son has been at this nursery since he was 1 and has now turned 3. I did a lot of visiting nurseries to find the best place for him and this one was beyond amazing compared to any other nursery I visited (and no more money than the others!)
I feel like they genuinely care about my child, are always
checking in about his health, giving me great updates at the end of each day for what he's learnt/done. My child has hearing difficulties and they have made sure to cater for his needs.
My child has had a lot of changes in his life and this nursery has been a constant for him. Knowing I can go to work and for him to be in a safe, fun, loving, learning environment is such a comfort to me.

My son started nursery at 6 months old as I had to return to work early! I was very apprehensive about him starting at such a young age but the staff that take care of him are absolutely wonderful and implemented his home routines to help him settle in really quickly!
He is now 13 months old and absolutely
loves going to nursery, and gives the staff the biggest smiles when we drop him off on a morning!
We had been to look around other nurseries, but once you see St Peter’s and St Paul’s nowhere else compares!

I have nothing but good things to say about this nursery. The staff are so friendly and engage so well with the children.
The meal choices are really varied and I have been told are very tasty, I have had to ask for recipes to replicate the meals at home for my son.
My son’s development in his numbers
and alphabet has come on amazingly, he also has become more confident and happy since attending Children 1st @ St Peter & St Paul.

My second child has recently started and my eldest attended for over two years before starting school. This is a lovely nursery with welcoming and kind staff.
My boys are/were very happy to attend and formed very good relationships with their key workers as well as other staff. Staff are always happy
to help and nothing feels like too much trouble. It helps ease the guilt knowing my children are thriving and enjoy their time at nursery.

Over the last four years, our three children have attended the nursery. We have only ever found staff at the setting to be kind, helpful and nurturing with our children. The rooms are all spacious, clean and are decorated and supplied with everything needed.
We will be sad when we no longer need to
use the nursery but also grateful for the start our children have received on their educational path.

Current Review Score: 9.0 (8.997)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.0 (8.997) out of 10 for Children 1st St Peter & St Pauls is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.0 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.991 for Children 1st St Peter & St Pauls is calculated as follows: ( (107 Excellents x 5) + (1 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 108 Ratings = 4.991
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.006 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Children 1st St Peter & St Pauls is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 = 3.7
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 147 number of registered child places is 29.4. 9 Positive Reviews ÷ 29.4 = 0.306
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
