Children 1st Clowne Nursery School

My daughter has been at the nursery for a few months now and I'm so happy with it so far! I was quite nervous about her going to nursery and leaving her but the staff really put my mind at ease and have made everything so much easier. I love reading about her day in the diary they provide and I couldn't be happier with how she's been getting on. All the staff I have met have been amazing and are so helpful too.

What a fantastic nursery. Actually one of the best. All the staff are fabulous. The love they give to each child is amazing. My little girl loves going and gets excited each nursery day. It's such a happy place.

My little girl loves going to nursery, the staff are very welcoming, and it makes my little girl feel right at home, she has really grown a fondness for many of the staff, and whenever she's at home she can't wait to get back to the nursery, the staff are very informative on what she's been up to throughout the day and they will let us know what she has eaten and how well she has/or not behaved although she mostly behaves very well and has lots of fun with her friends and teachers, the facilities at Children's 1st are amazing and keeps the children very active, they also do lots of fun educational activities, as parents we feel very comfortable with our little girl at nursery and thank all the staff for looking after her and giving her such confidence and happiness.

This nursery is without a doubt a fantastic place to send your child! My niece has been attending this nursery for a while now and is in the Peter Rabbits room where there is a certain member of staff who is talked about so much at home! The staff are so lovely and the environment is so good, I'd love to play there myself and would recommend to anyone.

Absolutely fantastic service. My son has recently joined the nursery and doesn't like being apart from us. Children's 1st team @ Clowne have gone above and beyond in helping him settle in and putting my mind at rest whilst I am not there. He now loves going to nursery.

Our son has been coming to this nursery for three weeks now. He only does one day a week and has settled in so quickly. He is very excited in the morning when he's getting ready and when he gets there he doesn't even look back at us, he can't wait to get in. He loves playing in the ball and tells us all about his day when we collect him. The updates you receive on the app are of a very good standard and at every pick up we receive a full handover from his key worker. Very happy with this nursery and would highly recommend.

My son has been attending this nursery for almost fourteen months now and has just started his last year in early years. He is very shy and quite sensitive so dropping him off in the morning can prove quite tricky at times, not always, but the staff picked up on this straight away and have all been so caring and understanding at settling him in by offering him a cuddle and talking through the day's activities on offer. Having said this, my son always comes home chatting away positively about his day, friends he's played with and staff he has interacted with. I cannot praise the staff enough, they really are superstars. Friendly, approachable, caring, helpful, the list could go on. Nothing is too much trouble to them, information thoroughly documented and events well organised. I won't hesitate to recommend this nursery and use it again for when my daughter is older.

My daughter started this nursery and she had come on in leaps and bounds, she loves coming to nursery and even wants to come on the days she doesn't attend. She loves all the members of staff there. They are very helpful and keep me updated on everything she does throughout the day.

My son has been attending nursery for four months and we can really see how much he has developed in this short space of time. He gets emotional when we drop him off but the staff are very quick to reassure him with a cuddle and familiar faces. All of the staff at the nursery know every single child which is very reassuring. The daily diary is lovely and frequent photos. I have recommended this nursery to lots of my friends and will continue to do so.

My daughter absolutely loves coming to nursery. She was late starting due to Covid and was a very shy child who had not had much interaction with other children which caused me some concern. This was quickly made better by the nursery, she just came on and never looked back. The staff were so supportive and gave my daughter lots of encouragement. I have never met a nicer lot of staff, always there to help and always give reassurance and quickly resolve any queries, I can't thank them enough. I would recommend this nursery to anyone and everyone thank you so much.

My son has only been in the nursery a couple of weeks but even in the first week we could see a massive difference in him. He was much more confident, wanting to explore more, talking more, joining in with home activities and really becoming his own person. The staff at the nursery are amazing at encouraging all of this and when I pick him up I can see him through the window, the staff are being so gentle and encouraging with him, it's so nice to be able to relax knowing he's somewhere safe and where staff genuinely care. We get in detail reports of what he's done, eaten, played with etc. and areas they've observed. Even other staff we overhear talking to parents of kids of other ages are fantastic, the nursery as a whole is great and the facilities are wonderful. My son only took two days to start running towards his friends and key worker when he arrives. He's settled in great with help from staff. Couldn't recommend more. We love that he's learning so much while playing too.

My son came here and he loved it so I decided to send my next here, they love it too, they do lots of different activities with visitors from various professions. They have a lovely outside area with climbing frames and lots of other things too. The staff are always friendly and accommodating, would recommend.

Our little boy has been going to the nursery for one year now (since he was 9 months old). He really loves it there and we couldn't be any happier with our experience. We can see how much he is learning from being at this nursery two days a week and are grateful for all the staff going above and beyond to make our little boy happy at the nursery. It is worth a visit if you are in the process of looking for a nursery.

My daughter has been going to Children's 1st @ Clowne Day Nursery for around eight months now and I have nothing but positive things to say about the experience. The staff are amazing, very welcoming - I know they genuinely care about my baby (and all children in their care) and are helping her to flourish. I'm so happy with the activities they provide and the app logging system which helps us to know what she has been doing every day, and I love receiving photos of what she's been up to (and this has helped me to replicate some activities at home too!). My daughter loves coming to nursery!

He is developing really well in just a few months of being there!

Despite the difficulties they have faced over the last few years as a result of Covid-19, they remain professional, kind and courteous towards their parents. The new leadership team are an absolute joy to liaise with and have revolutionised the nursery.

Our daughter has been attending Children 1st @ Clowne Day Nursery since she was 9-months-old, she is now 22-months. She has loved every moment of her time at nursery which has helped us to feel reassured, especially during a pandemic, where many additional safety measures were implemented. We are constantly kept abreast of any changes or developments and love the daily diary that is published with an update on her food intake, toileting, activities and pictures. Thank you to an amazing team for all that you do. Our daughter is flourishing.

Fantastic nursery. Our daughter started here as a little toddler. She’s come on leaps and bounds, loved all her key workers as she’s moved up throughout her different rooms. Really professional place, with incredible facilities. They’re also very flexible and have been there for us during some worrying times through the pandemic. I also love that they have a proper outdoor space for the kids to get lots of fresh air and fun. The app with updates and photos are also superb. Special shout-out to seven particular members of staff. Thanks for everything!

A brilliantly run nursery from top to bottom. Communication from management is always clear, quick and decisive. Highly attentive staff who all clearly enjoy their job of caring for our children. Children 1st have had a huge role to play in my daughter's early years development - she loves coming to nursery and has made some great friends along the way. Would highly recommend!
