Children 1st Clowne Nursery School

My daughter has been going to Children's 1st @ Clowne Day Nursery for around eight months now and I have nothing but positive things to say about the experience. The staff are amazing, very welcoming - I know they genuinely care about my baby (and all children in their care) and are helping her to flourish. I'm so happy with the activities they provide and the app logging system which helps us to know what she has been doing every day, and I love receiving photos of what she's been up to (and this has helped me to replicate some activities at home too!). My daughter loves coming to nursery!

He is developing really well in just a few months of being there!

Despite the difficulties they have faced over the last few years as a result of Covid-19, they remain professional, kind and courteous towards their parents. The new leadership team are an absolute joy to liaise with and have revolutionised the nursery.

Our daughter has been attending Children 1st @ Clowne Day Nursery since she was 9-months-old, she is now 22-months. She has loved every moment of her time at nursery which has helped us to feel reassured, especially during a pandemic, where many additional safety measures were implemented. We are constantly kept abreast of any changes or developments and love the daily diary that is published with an update on her food intake, toileting, activities and pictures. Thank you to an amazing team for all that you do. Our daughter is flourishing.

Fantastic nursery. Our daughter started here as a little toddler. She’s come on leaps and bounds, loved all her key workers as she’s moved up throughout her different rooms. Really professional place, with incredible facilities. They’re also very flexible and have been there for us during some worrying times through the pandemic. I also love that they have a proper outdoor space for the kids to get lots of fresh air and fun. The app with updates and photos are also superb. Special shout-out to seven particular members of staff. Thanks for everything!

A brilliantly run nursery from top to bottom. Communication from management is always clear, quick and decisive. Highly attentive staff who all clearly enjoy their job of caring for our children. Children 1st have had a huge role to play in my daughter's early years development - she loves coming to nursery and has made some great friends along the way. Would highly recommend!

Our little girl loves going to nursery, and we can see how much fun she has. She has really developed her skills since starting there, and all the staff are always so friendly and helpful that nothing is too much trouble. We would recommend this nursery to anyone who wants to really see their child grow and develop essential skills, but in a warm, caring and nurturing environment.

My daughter has attended the nursery for almost a year, and I have been very happy with the level of care the staff have provided. Saying goodbye for the first time was very hard, but the staff worked hard to build a bond with my daughter, and soon she had settled and was no longer crying at drop off. Now she loves going, and I love hearing all of her stories about what she has been up to. The activities seem to be changed each week, and my daughter enjoys the variety. She always comes home happy, well-fed and asking to go to the nursery again.

My son has been attending Children 1st @ Clowne since he was a year old (he is now 2 and a half) and the experience has really helped him flourish and grow into a lovely little man! He loves going to nursery, and comes home full of chatter about what he’s done that day (which is full of play, crafts and fun)! Every member of staff is so friendly and I’m happy in the knowledge that he’s well looked after and is enjoying himself.

I was very nervous about leaving my baby boy with people I didn't know. However, the staff were warm and welcoming. They are happy to help and listened to all my questions and concerns and were very patient with me. My boy loves it at nursery, he loves playing outside and all the messy stuff they do. He has come on leaps and bounds since being at nursery and I'm so happy. I cannot put into words how amazing this nursery is and the staff truly make it so.

Our daughter loves attending Children 1st at Clowne. She enjoys meeting new friends and is thoroughly engaged with the wide range of activities they do. The staff are caring, enthusiastic and professional no matter what challenge they face and have worked tirelessly in the last twelve months to ensure our daughter feels safe and happy despite the pandemic. We know that when she is at nursery she is in a stimulating environment and her needs are met. We cannot recommend the team enough.

My children and I love this nursery! They love attending and receive great care while there. They always come home happy, well-fed and full of great stories to tell me about their day. I genuinely believe the staff here are caring and loving towards my children and provide them with a safe happy environment. It's difficult with Covid when you have to drop your child off outside if they are a little upset but I have always felt like this was dealt with fantastically and the key workers would let me know how they have settled once inside to give me peace of mind. My son has egg allergies and this has always been catered for and he has always been kept safe around food which is super important for him. The facilities are great and the children always come home with crafts they have made. Overall I think this nursery is the best around!

All staff are very friendly, they made me and my child feel very welcome from the very first day I came to look round. They have all been excellent in supporting me and my family and I can't thank them enough for everything they do. I definitely recommend Children 1st @ Clowne. I was so nervous about moving to another nursey that I wasn't familiar with but I'm so glad I did. I looked at other nursey's around me and as soon as I came to look around Children 1st I knew that I wanted my child to be part of Children 1st and would be very well looked after and would absolutely love it.

My daughter loves everyone at the nursery. All the staff work so hard and I feel that they genuinely care about the children. My daughter has special dietary requirements which are well catered for. She has an excellent variety of nutritious food and is able to do lots of different indoor and outdoor activities. The nursery has worked really hard to adapt to Covid restrictions and luckily we haven’t had to have any time off or isolate yet which I put down to the excellent management and efforts of the staff. I’d highly recommend Children 1st @ Clowne and will send any future children there too.

My daughter attended from age of 2 years until she started in reception year, I highly recommend this placement, they helped her achieve all her goals. Very friendly staff, enjoyed watching all the shows they put on, everyone went above and beyond. Thank you so so much.

This nursery is brilliant! The girls have settled my little boy in so quickly. He comes home everyday so happy and has learnt something new! The nursery have been fantastic with his allergy which is a massive relief to me! Thank you to all the amazing staff!

Daughter loves going nursery. Got really good bond with her key worker. Lots of activities to keep her entertained and learning new skills. The outdoor spaces are used lots giving daughter lots of fresh air. The nursery manages well the usual challenges of a young child, teething, weaning etc. The menu a good varied mixture, giving chance for daughter to find new foods she likes. Only improvement could suggest is better use of the app to keep parents in loop more with what children have done at nursery, sometimes updates take a day to show and can't really track progress on the matrix and the prices have gone up a little recently but think that more sign of the times.

The staff are all so friendly. I see many of them when picking my daughter up, and they all say hello and speak to my daughter if she’s with me.
