Children 1st Clowne Nursery School is surrounded by lovely countryside within easy reach of the town centre. The nursery has been refurbished throughout with bright, open areas for babies, toddlers, early years and 'out of school' children from birth to twelve years.

Age-appropriate rooms create an imaginative learning environment for the children and are staffed by an enthusiastic and highly trained early years team.

The toddler room features an ‘up, up and away’ sensory pod, offering a quiet space where the children can experience a cosy, safe ambience. The pre-school children have access to a split-level mezzanine where they can immerse themselves into role play or hide away for a quiet story in the reading area.

The nursery also features a ‘jungle room’ which provides the children with an adventure full of slopes, tunnels and a ball pool.

My son joined the nursery a month ago, as a first time parent I was nervous about leaving him and how he would respond, but I cannot praise the staff at Breedon House enough! I can tell already that despite having multiple children to look after, they have taken the time to really get to know my son,
his likes and dislikes, his character, and have worked with him to make the nursery a fun and secure environment. He has settled much faster than I expected and that is all down to the amazing ladies who look after him!

We are very happy knowing our little boy is in a safe and friendly environment at the nursery. He's been going to Children's 1st in Clowne for just over two years and has really grown in that time. The staff are excellent, especially his key workers. He comes home and often teaches us new nursery rhymes
or songs.

My daughter has loved coming here from the age of 9 months and is now 2. She loves the staff and has bonded well with the teachers. The food is great and my daughter has her 5 a day and plenty to drink. Outstanding childcare.

Both of my daughters have attended this nursery and I am so glad they did. It is a wonderful nursery with lovely welcoming and friendly staff and even though the older daughter is in school now she loves to visit her old rooms! I can't recommend them enough!

Breedon House and all the staff are fantastic. Following two not so good previous nurseries I could not be happier here. The care, thought, friendliness of the staff is second to none. The facilities are superb, 100% clean and just a lovely place and surroundings for my daughter. In my opinion, a text
book example of the best and a clear view of being the best. No need to worry about a thing here, it's fantastic. 100% recommend to all.

Our Daughter has attended Children 1st for well over a year now. Throughout this time we have received excellent support and care from each and every member of staff within the nursery. Selecting a nursery for our child was a daunting task, however, Children 1st stood out to us from the rest for its
professionalism and friendly knowledgeable staff who clearly all love working there.


Our Daughter is our first child, and the staff at Children 1st have been there for both my Husband and I giving us support and guidance throughout her development and progression within the nursery. Now at 3 1/2 our Daughter loves her nursery time, she runs to open the door and play on the many activities inside. We have recently received excellent care for which we are very grateful for around our Daughters speech and language.


We sincerely have no hesitation in recommending Children 1st at Clowne, and we have done, many of our friends now take their children there too and share in our opinion.

My boy as been at this nursery a year and it's a big part of his growing up. The staff are amazing and the facilities are perfect for his needs. I've noticed him learning so much and he has such fun. I've never once had to worry about leaving my boy.

My son has been at Breedon House for almost 4 years. He has built some great relationships a made some fantastic friends.
I have had no problems whatsoever with either the staff or facilities. They have supported me as a parent through behavioural problems and I would highly recommend Breedon.

Children 1st at clowne is such an amazing nursery my niece is in the early years room and the staff are all amazing and so caring. My niece adores one staff member and always talks about her at home. The nursery is amazing and I can't thank the staff enough for all the care and love they have given
my niece. Would recommend clowne nursery to everyone.
