Emscote Day Nursery is a warm and friendly day nursery located in Leamington Spa.

Highly trained practitioners support learning through structured and free play activities designed in line with EYFS principles.

Emscote Day Nursery also offer the extracurricular activity of ‘The Guitar Man’ who comes to sing alternative nursery rhymes with the Butterflies and Preschool rooms every Wednesday morning from 10-11am.

Emscote offers a fully inclusive package, open from 7.30-6.30 aiming to provide a convenient service to parents.

Our son has been going to Emscote since he was 10 months old and is now nearly 3. We couldn’t be happier with our choice of nursery and we are very pleased with the way our boy has developed and is continuing to develop. His little sister is starting in November and I’m sure she’ll love it as much as
her older brother!

After being away for a few months during lockdown, I was a little nervous about the new procedures and how both my boys would take to it; however I should not have had any of these concerns! As soon as the nursery were advised we would be coming back we were provided with all the appropriate information
we needed and tools to help us explain to the children the new procedures in a way they would understand. Although there is now a lot more work involved for all staff, everyone appears to be taking it in their stride to still ensure a happy and relaxed environment for my boys who can't wait to arrive in the morning and are so excited to tell us news of their day in the evenings. I could not recommend Emscote House more, with only one year left for my eldest I know he will be very sad to leave.

I can not recommend Emscote Nursery highly enough. Both of my daughters absolutely love going. All of the staff are professional, kind and caring. All communications are handled efficiently and all policies are clearly laid out. Emscote provides a safe environment for my children for my daughters to

Great nursery, my son is excited and happy to go to the nursery, they do fun things that he enjoys with his key worker. The rooms are clean and spacious, the outside has a lot of grounds to play.
He has only been there over a month but he loves it and is settling and is coming out of his shell more.
Highly recommend, I have visited every nursery in the area and for me this was the best nursery on the market.

The team at Emscote do more than look after our children. They look after us too.
I am grateful for their support, their outstanding flexibility, their generous kindness and ability to understand all of my queries.
Both my sons have had a great time here. My youngest is leaving later this year for
school and I know we will all find this hard. We have gotten to know everyone here and we will miss them very much.
In addition, the birthday cake is the best on the planet. I will miss their baking terribly!

My son had attended this nursery since he was 1-year-old. He has just had his second birthday. As every parent does, you consider lots of options when looking at child care for your precious child. On visiting Emscote House I knew this is where we wanted him to go. It just ‘felt’ right. The staff are
incredible there. You can tell they love their jobs and the children. My son loves it there and is thriving. He has been back at nursery from the first day the nursery reopened and I must say I am impressed with the lengths the nursery have gone to ensure his health and safety. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Emscote House to anyone and everyone who will listen! Thank you for making my sons experience wonderful

Our little boy has been attending Emscote for the last 2 and a half years and our youngest has just started - I only have positive things to say about the nursery.
It's such a welcoming and friendly place and whilst both my children are proper homebirds, they always seem to have fun and enjoy themselves.
All the staff know their names and often stop to have conversations with them - even if they have never worked directly with them.
The way they have handled the coronavirus pandemic has been exceptional. They have kept us posted when anything has changed and really thought through how best to minimise the impact on the children. It also looks like they have also really looked after their staff which is a great indication of the kind of business they run.
The administration - sometimes it has been a little haphazard but I know that when I have given them feedback they do tend to act on it.
I would thoroughly recommend this nursery to anyone.

My 2-year-old attends nursery 4 days per week and often claps and cheers when we arrive for drop off. I need say no more!
He loves attending nursery and everyone is extremely friendly and caring towards him and us as parents. It has been brilliant for his development and confidence and I would not
hesitate in recommending to other parents.
Emscote House have dealt with these extraordinary times amazingly, putting stringent measures in place so that our son could return during the coronavirus pandemic and in turn we could get back to running our business.

Our daughter started at Emscote House when she was 10-months-old and is now just over 2. She had a brilliant year in Ladybird's room and was extremely well cared for by her key worker and the team in the room. The care felt individual and I felt like they really knew her very well. She was always comfortable,
clean, changed regularly and was happy to go in and happy at the end of the day. Amazing menu.
I love how the staff are invested in the nursery due to the partnership nature of the nursery. Staff turnover seems low and the nursery staff seem happy in their work.
The nursery exceeded my expectations during COVID-19 as I am a key worker. Their communication and attention to detail was flawless. I was a happy customer, but more so now and will always be grateful for the support and care provided during this difficult time. It made the world of difference to me that our daughter was so well cared for. She loved her La Jardin lockdown "Staycation" - great fun! Thank you so much.

Emscote House Day Nursery has surpassed our expectations, especially during recent times. They have shown great flexibility, good communication and support for entertaining/teaching the children throughout. We were very impressed with the video, leaflet and action plans that have been produced in readiness
for the return of more children and it is because of these that we have felt confident in sending our four-year-old back who was very excited and happy to be there. We feel like all scenarios have been thought about and the staff have worked hard to ensure this transition runs smoothly. Thank you for all that you do, keep up the good work!

Our son has been attending Emscote since the lockdown as our regular nursery merged with this one. He absolutely loves coming to this nursery! He has been with some of the same staff members as the other nursery and additionally, there are two large outdoor spaces in which he can run and play. Yesterday
the children had a 'staycation'. The nursery staff dressed up as though they worked for an airline and printed off boarding passes and 'passports' for the children. They sent him home with a photo postcard of him playing in the paddling pool. It is clear that the staff have put a lot of thought into the children's activities. In addition, he has dietary requirements that have been catered for, and I can always count on the staff to be approachable, friendly and helpful. My husband and I are very pleased that he has settled in nearly instantly and that he enjoys himself here. We are very lucky the staff have been so professional in spite of the virus. Thank you!

If I could entitle this review it would read - Close to Perfect! My son has attended for almost one year and so far so good. I'll start with the not so perfect - admin communication can be hit and miss depending on person and/ or enquiry. Attention to this would be a benefit. Now the good, pretty
much everything else. Excellent parent staff cohesion, expert special needs team leader who is very helpful and proactive, amazing chefs - birthday cake was seriously amazing and leftover cake was more popular among guests than the expensive one we purchased. Return to a very happy child at the end of the day, and this is due to the outstanding work of staff and their manager, who is sadly leaving and will greatly be missed. An above-average experience at this nursery. You should all be very proud! Happy New Year and Thank you very much from my son and his mummy.

My son left this nursery in the Summer after being there since he was 11 months old. It was a sad day because he loved this nursery. The manager and her team, the facilities, the food and the activities are all excellent. We'll always have fond memories of Emscote House. Thank you!

My daughter has been enjoying nursery. She develops her skills and loves to spend time with her friends and carers. My daughter has been at Emscote House since she was 18 months old up until she graduated today. As a full time working mither it's been vital for me to feel comfortable leaving her there and to know she's being cared for stimulated and looked after like I would do. I've always been really happy with
her key workers who all gave her attention and care she needed. Additionally, the facilities are really good and the food homemade on-site is of good quality.

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2012

Claire is the Manager of Emscote House Day Nursery and has a wealth of experience, having worked in the Early Years sector since 2005 - starting as an Apprentice straight out of college. Claire has numerous qualifications, including Level 2 & 3 NVQ in Childcare, Learning and Education and an NVQ in Team Leading. Claire has worked for Childbase Partnership since 2012.


What is your favourite feature of the nursery?
My favourite feature of the nursery is the character and original features of the building, as well as the warm and engaging environment we create for the children.


What are you most proud of about your nursery/team?
I am most proud of the home-from-home feel we as a team deliver each day, even though we are a big nursery, as well as how we have grown and developed over the years.
