Both my children attended Emscote House from the age of one up to the start of school. They have different personalities and interests, but both enjoyed their time immensely and have flourished under the care of the staff, who are kind, friendly and always full of enthusiasm. The only negative over this time has been a lack of consistency in the online system used for feedback, which has varied from frequent/detailed to very little at times. However, having said that, for us, personally, it has not been a major issue, there is always a staff member available at pick up and drop off to communicate relevant information about the day, chat through any worries and celebrate any achievements. The children are always well looked after, supported through any problems/awkward phases and encouraged to develop their own interests and spend time learning through activities they enjoy. The indoor and outdoor facilities are both great.
Both of my children moved from another nursery where they were very happy, to Emscote House Day Nursery (Leamington Spa). The staff were brilliant in settling the children into the new nursery, particularly my older daughter who found the transition harder. The practitioners are very caring and take genuine pride in how they care for the children, providing feedback and showing the appearance of the rooms. The room leader in preschool has also brought in new initiatives and additional learning opportunities which have been excellent. The nursery and company acted brilliantly throughout lockdown which was not the case with all nurseries when speaking to friends. The only minor criticism is that when the more senior leaders within the rooms are not present, there is noticeably slightly less structure, but no drop in the care! We would highly recommend Emscote House Day Nursery (Leamington Spa) and will be sad to leave.
My daughter has been coming here for over a year now and she loves it so much! The staff are very friendly, the app is amazing so I can upload pics and so can the nursery. I have even moved away but commute just to keep her in this nursery.
We have been really happy with Emscote house - our son has been really happy here, and has settled in quickly and easily. His key worker has gone the extra mile to make sure the transition to nursery was as easy as possible for him, and really taken the time to get to know him and what he likes. Thank you!
We are extremely pleased that our daughter is enrolled at the Emscote House Nursery. She has enjoyed it from when she was 1 year old due to the staff attention, care and dedication. She is developing beautifully into a happy, energetic child thanks to the diverse activities that the staff prepare on a daily basis.
Emscote House is a fantastic nursery. They have taken care of both of our little boys and given them an amazing start to their education. The quality of the education, nutrition and care they’ve provided for the children is incredibly high. The key workers and management team are not only invested in the children but in their families too. I can’t recommend Emscote House highly enough.
My eldest went here and this nursery was faultless. Even when we had a safeguarding problem it was dealt with excellently, so there was no hesitation when sending my second child there in Covid. The staff were great and very reassuring. However, there were lots of changes since my second joined. They introduced inset days (which they introduced before joining but we pay for days our children can’t go in due to training - double the costs as it means us booking a holiday for us to cover the care). They stopped any sort of card making/celebrating any occasion. They do nothing for Mother’s Day/Father’s Day and if you request a birthday card/picture they say it’s not something the nursery can do, although practitioners say they are willing to, but management isn’t allowing them to due to this new policy they have to follow. Premium costs but not the same service we once had. Absolutely love the practitioners, and that’s why we haven’t left but are disappointed with management changes.
I am sincerely sorry that you are disappointed and that our discussions on these issues over time have not, as I thought, resolved your concerns satisfactorily. As explained, children in our baby room are encouraged to be creative – which can find expression in painting that can be fashioned into...
What an absolutely lovely nursery! My daughter loves coming here. She has been going to Emscote House Nursery since she was 1 year old and she’s had a bond with every single keyworker she has had. You can see how much these staff love the children and have a real passion for their work. During Covid, they have not let the quality of their work slip at all. My daughter always has healthy meals here, time outside to play as well as educational playtime inside. The children are always put first. Thanks to all of the staff at Emscote! We couldn’t have asked for a better nursery.
Our daughter has now left the nursery as we have moved house. During our 12 months at Emscote nursery, we have been absolutely delighted with the level of care and support we have received. It has been a tasking year, and they have helped us to navigate it without a glitch. She has been in the baby room for her time and created an excellent bond with her key worker and other staff. Their feedback and communication have been excellent, and they have also managed our daughter's allergies superbly. We were very sad to leave and are very grateful for the time that our daughter spent at the nursery.
My son has been at Emscote House for a year now. I chose this nursery because I like that it has a homely feel to it, as opposed to the more open-plan 'industrial warehouse' type vibes I found in some other nurseries. From day one, he has absolutely loved it and settled really well. He goes in smiling and comes out smiling. My son's development during his time at nursery has been lightning fast, he learns new things every day, and the staff give him the freedom to explore and learn with lots of different activities. The staff are all really friendly, and I like the fact that they all recognise us and our son, even if they're not in his room, which just goes to show what a close-knit and family feeling this place has. The policies around Covid have been great and have ensured that they can maintain continuity and stay open, which we are really grateful for.
My son has been at Emscote House Day Nursery (Leamington Spa) since September 2019 and he has recently transitioned into the butterfly room. I have been amazed at how quickly and effortlessly he has settled in and how excited he has been to go into the new room everyday. This has been down to the caring, welcoming and enthusiastic butterfly staff team. They immediately took time to get to know my son and learned about his interests. They were warm, gentle and took time to stay with him in the initial few days. My son came home knowing most of the staff’s names from day one and had funny stories of each of them about how they had made his day so enjoyable. I couldn’t be happier that such a wonderful team are looking after him!
Ever since my duaghter has joined this nursery she has become a lot more interactive. She tried to make you understand what she wants or trying to say. Dances to her favourite rhymes. She has definitely become more exploring and tried to feel every little thing she comes across. She definitely enjoyed her Christmas at Nursery. She tried making the same hat at home that she made at nursery - very keen on making it herself. One of the best decisions we made was sending our daughter to this nursery.
He has gained confidence and developed a real community spirit, he will often stop other children he knows from nursery in the park or shops to say hello.
Having a key person move through the school with his year group has given him consistency that I know he will miss now that he has finished.
I cannot recommend Emscote House more highly, the levels of care have been excellent throughout.
This is a fantastic nursery. My son is so happy at Emscote because the staff are so caring and kind. They do lovely activities with the children and they seem to get to know each child so well. I never have any doubts that he is being well cared for and that he is happy in this setting. I would definitely recommend this nursery.
Emscote House in Warwick has been nothing but exemplar in their commitment, service and duty in remaining open during the pandemic, allowing me and my wife, who are both health care professionals, to care for patients on the front line. Without the staff's adaptability and practical approach to bringing children back in, our 16-month daughter, we would have let down thousands of patients. The staff are so attentive, caring and treat the children unconditionally and I'm so pleased we moved our daughter. She eats so well, is developing wonderfully and nothing is too much trouble. We particularly resonate well with the ethical ideas Emscote House employ growing their vegetables, sourcing organic produce and have bright ideas like planning for a staycation holiday during the lockdown. An opportunity never wasted. Thoroughly satisfied with every aspect - no complaints.
My daughter was in a different nursery earlier in Peterborough and she went there for a month. She had cried every single day, the entire day, until I would pick her up. She never used to eat anything the entire day and there were no efforts made from the staff. My daughter joined Emscote nursery at the end of July. After her settling in there is not even a single day she has cried, rather she would wake up so happily in the morning just to go to the nursery. This is magic for me as I have seen her cry one whole month in Peterborough. I deeply want to say thanks to the team for their efforts.
I have two of my daughters in Emscote who absolutely love attending. All of the staff members are friendly and approachable and go the extra mile to ensure you and your child’s needs are met. My daughters have both made such progress in all areas of their learning, I am constantly amazed. I highly recommend this nursery.
Great nursery- staff professional, friendly and take a real interest in the children. They take the time to understand them and build strong relationships. Brilliant outdoor space. Can’t fault Emscote in any way - I would strongly recommend.
Emscote have been exceptional in dealing with the coronavirus lockdown. As a key worker, my children attended throughout. The staff were professional, calm and very welcoming. Communication was excellent. Safety standards were high and I felt confident my children were happy and safe, which meant a great deal to me at a very stressful time. Thank you Emscote.
Emscote and their staff helped our son a lot (he is now 22 months) during his early years while settling into a nursery routine. The staff are really receptive, informative and understanding. We did loads of research for a nursery, and thank god we chose Emscote, the staff in Caterpillars and Lady-Birds rooms are just amazing, great, great people, very caring and committed.

My favourite feature of the nursery is the character and original features of the building, as well as the warm and engaging environment we create for the children.
I am most proud of the home-from-home feel we as a team deliver each day, even though we are a big nursery, as well as how we have grown and developed over the years.
