My daughter struggles every morning settling into nursery, but the girls within her room are so patient and supportive, and she is slowly getting better.
She enjoys every minute of nursery once she has settled, and I receive great feedback at the end of each day.
The management are approachable and
work hard to maintain the quality of the care throughout the nursery, which shines through each staff member.

My son joined the nursery in the lower movers class in when he was 14 months old and prior to this, he had never been left alone with anyone so you can imagine this was a huge step for us both! I can honestly say from our first visit, and the settle-in sessions we had, I was assured he would be safe
and well looked after and he loves going to nursery! All the staff in lower and movers are so kind, caring, compassionate and loving towards my son and the other children, which is lovely to see! He has a good variety of activities and play to help him develop and he’s come on really well since starting. They have accommodated his allergies and the home-cooked food is healthy, varied and amazing. The manager and her deputy are very visible, involved in my son’s care and are accessible, which is a great leadership style to see! The receptionist is also very friendly and helpful with any queries. I would highly recommend this lovely nursery to anyone!

Footsteps have been amazing with our daughter. She has come on leaps and bounds since joining. Being our firstborn, her social skills with other babies and children were limited but Footsteps have really helped with this. My daughter also suffers from eczema and allergies and Footsteps have been brilliant
with this!

The girls always go above and beyond for my daughter who has special needs! They meet all her needs (which are very high and demanding).
They not only look after my daughter but they also look after me too.

The girls in the preschool room are simply excellent. They go over and above every day to provide a great environment for my son. My daughter has been attending nursery since 9 months old and is currently in rising 3s. I cannot fault the care she receives. She has grown so much since being at the nursery. Although she only attends twice a week, she always counts down the days to go back. There is always great communication from
staff to parents and this has greatly improved since the parent app was introduced. As a working parent, it really allows me to feel involved in my daughter's day at nursery with updates and photos. You are all amazing and I would not hesitate to recommend Footsteps to anyone considering a nursery place.

I can't imagine a better place for my child for her first steps in education and socialising with kids. Every day I am really impressed by the care and creativity. Such a lovely place, such lovely stuff!
The inside is very clean, and toys are not destroyed. The smell is so lovely.

My son has recently started in the baby room and honestly, we couldn't be happier with how amazing all of the staff have been. Prior to us starting the nursery manager had so much time for us, showing us around and reassuring any worries. We didn't feel anything was too much trouble.
The staff in
the baby room are so attentive, warm and nurturing. As soon as you walk into the room there is happy energy, singing and lots of smiles from both staff and children. The room itself is spotless with a wide range of age-appropriate toys, books etc. The room is bright and child-centred. Children are offered a wide range of meals and nothing feels too much trouble re: dietary needs. My son's keyworker spent time getting to know him and this was evident in the detailed daily write-ups about him which are so individual to him it's so lovely and reassuring. The staff really care and that makes me feel at ease when leaving my little one. Thank you Footsteps for an amazing start for my son.

The staff at Footsteps are fantastic and go out of their way to make the children happy and parents reassured. My little boy takes a while to settle after I drop him off, and the staff always give him a cuddle and distract him, then put photos on the app so I can see him happily playing. He tells me
that his teacher is kind and he loves her, and I couldn’t ask for anything more. At pick up, the staff tell you what the children have been doing in the day and sometimes come home with pictures or food the children have made. The children take part in a good variety of activities, and they get to play out in the garden. I’m really pleased with how my boy has developed since attending Footsteps; it has encouraged him to play with other children, and most importantly for us, he has lots of fun.

My son has been going to this nursery for 5 months and I cannot recommend it enough. Each member of staff are polite and friendly. My little boy settled in so well during his settling-in sessions and has such a big smile on his face when we get there. He has such a good day every day and the staff are
so good with updating the app about what he’s been doing during the day. He’s come on leaps and bounds being at footsteps and I’m so happy with the choice I made for him.
He goes in with a smile on his face and comes out with one.

We have used Footsteps in Cannock for both our children since 2017 and cannot speak highly enough of the manager, the staff and the attention to detail and care put into the nursery and the children. It is a very happy environment with a variety of activities and varied enrichment for all the ages.
Nothing is ever too much trouble and staff are always very friendly, welcoming and approachable.

My daughter has attended this nursery since last March, and it was the best decision we made. My daughter is now in rising 3s and has never been happier, and loves going to nursery twice a week. The manager and staff have been excellent with my daughter, they are always polite and helpful and keep us
updated throughout the day, my daughter always leaves happy and smiling and the staff inform me of everything that she has done at nursery that day. The facilities are always clean and tidy.

Can’t rate the nursery more highly. The staff are amazing and nothing is ever too much trouble. Recently my daughter needed open heart surgery and the staff were so supportive during her recovery. It meant a lot to know they cared. My daughter loves going to nursery and has come on so much with her
development through attending Footsteps.

Communication is shocking, couldn't even tell me the time of the home visit until I called the night before to get an answer since emails weren't responded to.
My daughter was there for one week and come back with filthy clothes even though I've provided her with spare items of clothing which they
couldn't be bothered to use and change her. She's come out with leaking nappies. Updates on the app were poor and after you complain they edit it to cover their own backs and remove pictures to yet again cover their own backs. I asked for a refund as I've paid over the required amount and I keep getting brushed off yet again.
My daughter's last day she come home with a cut on her chin yet there was no incident report? So I decided to withdraw my daughter from attending if they can't even be bothered to notice these things or inform me as a parent.
They try to silence you and shut down all concerns you have as a parent. I've worked in nurseries myself and would never treat a parent this way.

Putting my 20 month old son in Footsteps Cannock has been the best decision I have made. I cannot fault the nursery. My little boy is settling in so well. Security is fantastic, Staff are helpful, compassionate and great with the children. Communication is amazing with updates during the course of the
day. The kids are fed well balanced meals prepared by in house chef and the activities with the children are well varied. Would definitely recommend it to other parents.

I can not say enough good things about this nursery and its staff. My grandson started in the baby room and has moved up rooms with ease. The staff, the facility, and the support and encouragement they provide are fantastic. I hear people say they can't believe how much nursery costs, honestly, we are
trusting these lovely people with our treasured, most precious children and they are worth every penny. I love the updates throughout the day on the app, being able to see my grandson enjoying himself is priceless. Keep up the good work and I will recommend you to anyone that asks!

My daughter started nursery in August 2022 at two & a half, she absolutely loves it! The staff are lovely and the feedback I get daily is brilliant!
They have plenty of food and a lot of outdoor play which my daughter loves!
Highly recommend!

I have two children who attended Cannock's Footsteps. One in the baby room and one in preschool. My youngest daughter is so settled when I leave her, no tears or anything. I have regular updates throughout my day on her, from what she has eaten to what hours she has slept, and amazing pictures of their
super fun activities, from visiting the park in the turtle bus and playing with the parachute. I'm so happy with the nursery and cannot fault it in any way. The staff are professional, welcoming and so friendly. My big girl is in preschool and again she is so happy to go to nursery that she even asks me if it's nursery days occasionally. She loves science club and didi dance! I'm so happy with the nursery and would recommend it to anybody. From baby room up until preschool! My girls love it!

My little girl loves her two days a week at nursery. The staff are so friendly and attentive. The app is brilliant! The outside space is very big and a lovely clean nursery. The food always smells delicious when I walk in. She loves when Pyjama drama comes in! That's her favourite! Such a good idea
to get them in from the nursery.

    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 117 number of registered child places is 23.4, which has been reached with 36 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Hello, my name is Toni, I’m the Deputy Manager here at Cannock.


I joined Footsteps in 2019 as a Senior Room Leader in preschool and then went on to be promoted to Deputy Manager in February 2022. I qualified in 2010 as a level 3 practitioner and went on to gain experience in both schools and private settings.


Our nursery builds an environment inspired by the children’s interests, making secure bonds and attachments with children. Our fantastic team ensure every child has the best experiences and enjoys their time spent at Footsteps.


The early years are what I love most, watching children learn and grow from babies through to preschool and knowing you have been a part of their learning journey is amazing!
