Being an ex Nursery nurse myself, I felt the anxiety and stresses about my little boy starting nursery when I returned to work. Knowing what they can be like when you're not around worried me every second of the day until I collected him during the run up to his start date however, his first settle
session put all of my worries at ease. The team in the baby room were fantastic, we really cannot praise and recommend them enough. They helped carve a second home for our boy and created an environment and relationships that any parent dreams about. He settled into nursery like a dream and they love him as much as he loves them, he doesn't stick around to say goodbye anymore, as soon as he's through the door he's off! He's moved up to a bigger room now but he knows all of the staff so well, we just know he's going to love it! I can't recommend this nursery and the team enough, they truly are amazing!

Footsteps have welcomed my son to nursery and made it so much easier for me whilst at work, with updates on the app so I know he's ok.
They are so attentive and caring especially as he struggles with eczema and has a cows milk allergy.
They do different activities everyday and the food he is qiven
is so varied.

I now have my 2nd daughter attend this nursery as they have continued to be amazing. My daughter is so happy going in and you can see how comfortable she is there with her peers and the staff, its almost like a second home to her. I feel I have come to know all the staff with all the years I have been
going that its a comfort to see those same familiar faces looking after my children. I always recommend this nursery as I have had no issues, the staff are incredible at what they do and how much they have helped my daughters with their development which is so wonderful to see.

Our 2 year old son absolutely loves it here. He comes home with a full belly and a smile every time. Staff are friendly and very good with my son. He comes home with things he's learnt every day. Can't recommend enough.

We couldn't be happier with this nursery. From the moment our son started, the staff have been so welcoming, caring, and attentive. He absolutely loves the nursery workers and it's clear how comfortable and happy he feels with them - which means everything to us as parents.


The team genuinely take

the time to get to know each child, and it shows in the way they interact with him every day. He's settled so well, always excited to go in, and comes home happy. We feel confident knowing he's in such a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment. We're so grateful to all the staff and would highly recommend this nursery to other families.

As my maternity leave came to an end, I viewed lots of nurseries to find the best fit for my son. Every nursery seemed to not meet my high expectations, as I work with children myself and know how I'd expect my own child to be looked after. Someone suggested I look at Footsteps in Cannock and I made
an appointment to tour the nursery.
My expectations were met and even better, exceeded. The staff are so kind and welcoming, they made me feel supported as I talked about my nerves of leaving my baby to go back to work. The premises is very secure with biometric security doors and rooms are well maintained and clean. Lots of Montessori style teaching and resources which I am a fan of.
My son did 2 settling in sessions where I was updated throughout his whole time via the app on how he was getting on. He has started there this week properly and everyday he looks happy and relaxed in the pics. Which as a mother, tells you everything.
I am beyond happy with the care and support he receives.

Footsteps Cannock is a wonderful nursery and would highly recommend to anyone seeking a placement.


Staff are so wonderfully attentive to my son's needs. He requires additional support with social interaction and eating - footsteps go above and beyond to accommodate his needs and provide activities

to help gain his confidence. I am provided with a detailed run down of his day with pictures without fail and additional information on activities is provided on collection. There is always a varied range of activities that are provided for him. He is given opportunities to venture out with his little friends too which I absolutely love!


The building itself is incredibly secure and I and am put at ease knowing AC is available in the hot summer period. The outside play areas are absolutely perfect. The area is well looked after, as well as the rooms.


I can leave my son to go to work knowing he is happy and in very capable, safe hands. I'm happy I have put my trust into this nursery.

Footstep is an amazing nursery and my little one has so much fun. He is currently in the baby room and the staff have been brilliant with him. While settling in they were always so reassuring send photos of the activities which he participated in which really helped ease my mind as he was upset at drop
off for a little while. I also love that no matter which staff member you walk past they always greet my son by his name. I am sent pictures daily of the activities he is doing and they do so much. All the staff are friendly and chatty and always seem so happy making a cosy and relaxed setting. We are so glad we chose footsteps and are excited to see what he gets up to on his journey there.

Happy with my overall experience at footsteps!
The staff are amazing and both my children love attending!
It will be a really sad day when they both have to leave and go to school as they have made some incredible memories and friendships.

We couldn't be happier with this nursery and preschool! Staff members such as they are all absolutely wonderful - just to name a few! All staff are warm, caring, and so dedicated. My child has been attending for a short time now and he really enjoys it the baby room staff are so welcoming and have made the transition so much easier than I was expecting. All the staff are very engaging with the children and they do frequent activities with the children that help develop their

We recently moved our daughter to Footsteps Cannock Nursery & Pre-School, and the change in her development and willingness to attend has been incredible! Compared to her previous nursery, she is so much happier here, and we are beyond relieved that she absolutely loves it. The staff are amazing-always
informative about her day and incredibly supportive of any requirements we have. Despite only attending for about three weeks, she was already able to participate in a trip to buy stamps for their Valentine's letters, which was such a lovely experience for her. The nursery's security system gives us great peace of mind, and the cleanliness is outstanding. I really appreciate being able to enter the classroom for drop-off while maintaining hygiene by removing our shoes.
We can't thank the team and management enough for everything they do to create such a positive and nurturing environment. Well done to everyone at Footsteps - your hard work truly makes a difference!

My little one has been going since he was 13 months old. He's now 2.
The Baby room was amazing at supporting us both in our new routines. A special thank you to one member of staff in particular.
He has now progressed through 3 rooms in total and they have all helped him develop so much. He knows
lots of songs and signs and his speech has come on loads.
I love that we get pictures every day and a description of what he has been up to.
They do lots of different activities to keep them entertained: painting, gardening, singing, signing and sand play etc.

Having a child with a significant medical condition, it was hard to find a setting that understood her needs but also didn't treat her like just this child with a medical condition. From the beginning, the staff were thorough in understanding my daughter's needs and symptoms and this has continued with
each room she has attended.
My daughter has thrived since being at Footsteps and the staff have gone above and beyond to ensure she develops and is cared for. Any concerns/questions I have are dealt with quickly and efficiently by the team.
My daughter enjoys attending the setting and her daily diaries allow me to continue the learning she has done at nursery at home.

Lovely nursery. My child has been nurtured, and his development is fantastic! A really great system so you can see how your baby is doing every day, including what he has eaten and wet and dirty nappies. He comes back full of joy, singing and dancing and has grown attached to everyone there. The nursery
has catered for my baby's dietary needs too.

As a parent of a child with additional needs, I cannot rate this nursery any higher. The love and care given to my son beginning in the baby room up until now being in preschool is second to none. The girls genuinely care for my son and nothing is ever too much. They meet all his needs to a very high
standard, from ensuring his sensory needs are met to giving him a safe environment to engage in play. The staff know my son inside out and have built strong positive relationships with him. He runs into the nursery full of smiles, first of all heading down to the kitchen to see the nursery chef who provides healthy delicious meals that he loves. He then is greeted by his friendly practitioners and they are always so welcoming which is all you want when you are sending your entire world into the arms of others. The daily diaries are the most wonderful part of my day where I get to see my son through photos taken throughout the day. The manager and her staff are brilliant, I wouldn’t send my child elsewhere.

My daughter loves the nursery and has settled lovely! The girls in Lower Movers are all amazing with her, and it makes me, as a mom, feel settled when I drop her off, knowing that she is going to be looked after well!
She comes home with beautiful artwork, and they always listen and take on board
my wants and needs.

Footsteps has been a fantastic nursery and preschool for us - we have had both of our boys attend, one has recently left to go to reception class and is well socialised, had a head start on writing skills etc. All staff are lovely and helpful, and support the children in many different ways. Love how
we get a detailed daily update and photos on the app too. Would recommend!

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2019

Hello, my name is Toni, I’m the Deputy Manager here at Cannock.


I joined Footsteps in 2019 as a Senior Room Leader in preschool and then went on to be promoted to Deputy Manager in February 2022. I qualified in 2010 as a level 3 practitioner and went on to gain experience in both schools and private settings.


Our nursery builds an environment inspired by the children’s interests, making secure bonds and attachments with children. Our fantastic team ensure every child has the best experiences and enjoys their time spent at Footsteps.


The early years are what I love most, watching children learn and grow from babies through to preschool and knowing you have been a part of their learning journey is amazing!
