My son has recently started in the baby room and honestly, we couldn't be happier with how amazing all of the staff have been. Prior to us starting the nursery manager had so much time for us, showing us around and reassuring any worries. We didn't feel anything was too much trouble.
The staff in
the baby room are so attentive, warm and nurturing. As soon as you walk into the room there is happy energy, singing and lots of smiles from both staff and children. The room itself is spotless with a wide range of age-appropriate toys, books etc. The room is bright and child-centred. Children are offered a wide range of meals and nothing feels too much trouble re: dietary needs. My son's keyworker spent time getting to know him and this was evident in the detailed daily write-ups about him which are so individual to him it's so lovely and reassuring. The staff really care and that makes me feel at ease when leaving my little one. Thank you Footsteps for an amazing start for my son.

The staff at Footsteps are fantastic and go out of their way to make the children happy and parents reassured. My little boy takes a while to settle after I drop him off, and the staff always give him a cuddle and distract him, then put photos on the app so I can see him happily playing. He tells me
that his teacher is kind and he loves her, and I couldn’t ask for anything more. At pick up, the staff tell you what the children have been doing in the day and sometimes come home with pictures or food the children have made. The children take part in a good variety of activities, and they get to play out in the garden. I’m really pleased with how my boy has developed since attending Footsteps; it has encouraged him to play with other children, and most importantly for us, he has lots of fun.

My son has been going to this nursery for 5 months and I cannot recommend it enough. Each member of staff are polite and friendly. My little boy settled in so well during his settling-in sessions and has such a big smile on his face when we get there. He has such a good day every day and the staff are
so good with updating the app about what he’s been doing during the day. He’s come on leaps and bounds being at footsteps and I’m so happy with the choice I made for him.
He goes in with a smile on his face and comes out with one.

My son has been attending the nursery since June 2022 when he was only 9 months old. As a very anxious first time mother, the staff in the baby room were so patient and kind to me. They understood it’s hard to leave your child in the care of others. They never complained when I would ring up to check
on him. My son has adored the staff since he began. They have done so many activities with him which I would never think of. The menu options are incredible and they helped on our journey with baby led weaning. My son has since moved classes due to his age. He has come on in leaps and bounds since starting this nursery. All the staff are very professional, friendly, caring and clearly love what they do. They have always worked through any health/development concerns I have had. My son loves his days at nursery and adores the staff. It has been a weight off my shoulders knowing how cared for he is there whilst I work and have no desire to move nurseries until he begins reception at school.

We have used Footsteps in Cannock for both our children since 2017 and cannot speak highly enough of the manager, the staff and the attention to detail and care put into the nursery and the children. It is a very happy environment with a variety of activities and varied enrichment for all the ages.
Nothing is ever too much trouble and staff are always very friendly, welcoming and approachable.

Since day one and still now, this nursery has been absolutely fantastic with my little girl. She has been such a happy bunny every time she goes and I have seen her develop so much in all different areas. The staff are brilliant and always greet you with a cheerful smile. They are so helpful and approachable
with any questions you may have that you feel instantly at ease with their level of care. The relationship they build with the children is so incredible that they've got to know my daughter's little character where they know all their needs and wants. It's also so lovely with the app that the staff are about to share what my daughter has been up to in her day with a daily log and pictures which then I can talk to her about in the day.
I have nothing but praise for the nursery and to each one of the wonderful staff. I highly recommend it to any parent who are considering a nursery for their little ones.

My daughter has attended this nursery since last March, and it was the best decision we made. My daughter is now in rising 3s and has never been happier, and loves going to nursery twice a week. The manager and staff have been excellent with my daughter, they are always polite and helpful and keep us
updated throughout the day, my daughter always leaves happy and smiling and the staff inform me of everything that she has done at nursery that day. The facilities are always clean and tidy.

Can’t rate the nursery more highly. The staff are amazing and nothing is ever too much trouble. Recently my daughter needed open heart surgery and the staff were so supportive during her recovery. It meant a lot to know they cared. My daughter loves going to nursery and has come on so much with her

Communication is shocking, couldn't even tell me the time of the home visit until I called the night before to get an answer since emails weren't responded to.
My daughter was there for one week and come back with filthy clothes even though I've provided her with spare items of clothing which they
couldn't be bothered to use and change her. She's come out with leaking nappies. Updates on the app were poor and after you complain they edit it to cover their own backs and remove pictures to yet again cover their own backs. I asked for a refund as I've paid over the required amount and I keep getting brushed off yet again.
My daughter's last day she come home with a cut on her chin yet there was no incident report? So I decided to withdraw my daughter from attending if they can't even be bothered to notice these things or inform me as a parent.
They try to silence you and shut down all concerns you have as a parent. I've worked in nurseries myself and would never treat a parent this way.

Putting my 20 month old son in Footsteps Cannock has been the best decision I have made. I cannot fault the nursery. My little boy is settling in so well. Security is fantastic, Staff are helpful, compassionate and great with the children. Communication is amazing with updates during the course of the

I can not say enough good things about this nursery and its staff. My grandson started in the baby room and has moved up rooms with ease. My daughter started nursery in August 2022 at two & a half, she absolutely loves it! The staff are lovely and the feedback I get daily is brilliant!

I have two children who attended Cannock's Footsteps. One in the baby room and one in preschool. My youngest daughter is so settled when I leave her, no tears or anything. I have regular updates throughout my day on her, from what she has eaten to what hours she has slept, and amazing pictures of their
super fun activities, from visiting the park in the turtle bus and playing with the parachute. I'm so happy with the nursery and cannot fault it in any way. The staff are professional, welcoming and so friendly. My big girl is in preschool and again she is so happy to go to nursery that she even asks me if it's nursery days occasionally. She loves science club and didi dance! I'm so happy with the nursery and would recommend it to anybody. From baby room up until preschool! My girls love it!

My little girl loves her two days a week at nursery. The staff are so friendly and attentive. The app is brilliant! The outside space is very big and a lovely clean nursery. The food always smells delicious when I walk in. She loves when Pyjama drama comes in! That's her favourite! Such a good idea

Brilliant nursery, they took care of my son as he's a little unsettled when dropping him off, but very patient with him. The staff are amazing with all children, outside area is so good for children to have a runaround and burn off energy.

My daughter has recently graduated from Footsteps Cannock Pre-School, she has been in the setting from age one. I have always been very happy with the setting from day one, the staff have always been very friendly and approachable. The policies and procedures in place are very thorough at Footsteps
which has always given me reassurance, that no request is too much hassle. My daughter has thrived at Footsteps, every day is structured and packed full of fun activities from messy play with shaving foam to trips out on the Turtle Bus to sessions at their forest school. The variety of food that the chef prepares on site is amazing, When it was time for my second daughter to start Nursery, there was no question in my mind about where to send her. Thank you Footsteps keep up the amazing work helping little ones grow!

Hello, my name is Toni, I’m the Deputy Manager here at Cannock.


I joined Footsteps in 2019 as a Senior Room Leader in preschool and then went on to be promoted to Deputy Manager in February 2022. I qualified in 2010 as a level 3 practitioner and went on to gain experience in both schools and private settings.


Our nursery builds an environment inspired by the children’s interests, making secure bonds and attachments with children. Our fantastic team ensure every child has the best experiences and enjoys their time spent at Footsteps.


The early years are what I love most, watching children learn and grow from babies through to preschool and knowing you have been a part of their learning journey is amazing!
