My daughter started Footsteps in August 2022. I was so anxious about her starting nursery but all the staff helped reassure me and were absolutely amazing with my daughter. She settled so well and loves going there. She loves the staff and always puts her arms out when dropped off for a cuddle. The

Brilliant nursery, they took care of my son as he's a little unsettled when dropping him off, but very patient with him. The staff are amazing with all children, outside area is so good for children to have a runaround and burn off energy.

My daughter has recently graduated from Footsteps Cannock Pre-School, she has been in the setting from age one. I have always been very happy with the setting from day one, the staff have always been very friendly and approachable. The policies and procedures in place are very thorough at Footsteps
which has always given me reassurance, that no request is too much hassle. My daughter has thrived at Footsteps, every day is structured and packed full of fun activities from messy play with shaving foam to trips out on the Turtle Bus to sessions at their forest school. The variety of food that the chef prepares on site is amazing, When it was time for my second daughter to start Nursery, there was no question in my mind about where to send her. Thank you Footsteps keep up the amazing work helping little ones grow!

Wow! What an amazing nursery! The management team is unreal will go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect, and the employees are just brilliant and hard working! I was so worried about leaving my son when coming off maternity leave and they have made it so easy, they look after my son
as if he is their own child. I get updates throughout the day of everything my son has been doing by written information followed by beautiful photos of my son playing. Food is amazing all freshly homemade and different each day.
The nursery manager is brilliant and helped me so much with leaving my son at the nursery, I was told to ring up and check on him as many times as I wanted. The whole team are amazing and gives my son a lot of attention and always welcomes him in. A Brilliant nursery would never go anywhere else. I trust the Footsteps Cannock Nursery team with all my heart. My son has only done a few sessions and he already picked up crawling and saying, mama!

Both my son and daughter have attended Footsteps Nursery and Pre School Cannock and we have been part of the Footsteps family since 2017. I can’t fault the team there for the care they provide, the facilities they have and the professionalism of the staff. Everyone is friendly, helpful and they go above
and beyond for the children and families. Both my children have loved their time at the nursery. My son is now at school in year 1, but even when he comes on pick ups to get my daughter, everyone is pleased to see him. The manager has an excellent rapport with everyone and is always so helpful. There have been staff changes over the years and we have seen staff come and go but it has never affected the care they give the children. Supporting their open day last week, it was nice to re-visit the younger age rooms and see those staff too and all remember and talk about my children. I will be sad to end our time with Footsteps as they have been so good. I really can’t rate them highly enough.

My daughter absolutely loves coming to nursery. She attends the morning sessions 3-days a week and always looks forward to seeing her teachers and friends. She’s constantly trying new foods and learning new things. The facility is always clean, and you always see friendly faces.

I am so happy with how my son has settled into the nursery at Footsteps. The staff are friendly and attentive and nothing is too much trouble. He enjoys going into the setting in the morning and always comes home with a list of activities which he has done.

This is my second child to have attended this nursery. Across all the years I have known the nursery it has always provided excellent childcare. They offer a range of extra activities which my children have really enjoyed including forest school. Even when I have had a concern, I have been able to have
open and honest conversations with the staff. They have always been professional, and supportive and made my children's time at nursery wonderful.

Excellent nursery my son has been there for 12 months would highly recommend. The staff was very helpful and my child has made good progress whilst being at the nursery. I really enjoyed the parent stay and play so you can see how they interact in the nursery.

I have one child at this nursery and another on the way, that will definitely be placed here. I cannot recommend it highly enough. The staff are fantastic and go the extra mile for each child. I feel very involved in my child's care and learning. My son loves going to nursery and is never in a rush
to leave. He clearly has a bond with each staff member, making leaving him with them so easy. The rooms are large and the facilities are fantastic. It is a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for! Definitely worth it.

My little boy started at Footsteps Nursery at quite short notice after being let down by another provider, we were lucky enough to call the day before an open day and loved it so much we cancelled all our other viewings. The manager made us right at ease and answered all of our questions. My main concern
was that our son has always coslept or been held and I didn’t want to distress him by routine changing but they were happy to rock him to sleep and managed it on his first settle in session. His keyworker is amazing and goes above and beyond every day, she lets me call and check on him whenever I need to and the bond she has with my little boy is amazing!

With my child being a "lockdown baby", I was extremely worried about how he would transition to nursery after having spent such a long time with me and without much interaction with others. However, from the outset, the staff at Footsteps in Cannock were extremely understanding and gave the time needed
to go through any questions/concerns I had. Since my child has been going to Footsteps, I have enjoyed watching him grow and develop. He has transformed from being shy and reserved to someone who now bubbles with confidence and always beams with joy when coming to nursery. He loves the staff there and it feels reassuring for me that my child has settled in so well; he now waves bye to me confidently before starting his day. The staff have been incredible with how they have encouraged that development. I always receive detailed feedback each time I collect my child and there are updates on the learning book on what activities/learning outcomes have been done/met.

My daughter has attended Footsteps since July 2020 and she has loved going and we have daily diary sheets that let us know what she has been up to and lots of photos that come home for us to see. Thank you team Cannock.

I cannot praise Footsteps enough and would encourage any parent to send their child here. The staff are fantastic and my son has a fabulous time there. The meals are varied and he eats better at nursery than at home. They’re doing a fantastic job following all the government guidelines and I have no
concerns sending my son there. In fact, I’ve recently enrolled him in an additional day because it’s so good for him and his development.

My daughter started back at nursery at the start of July and I was very worried about how she would react. All the staff have been really helpful, professional and supportive, and my daughter has gone back and is loving nursery life. The staff are amazing and she has taken to them and her new room really
well. Thank you to the nursery for their regular updates during such a difficult time during covid-19, and for the staff always been so friendly, caring and approachable. Amazing nursery.

Toni Curran

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2019

Hello, my name is Toni, I’m the Deputy Manager here at Cannock.


I joined Footsteps in 2019 as a Senior Room Leader in preschool and then went on to be promoted to Deputy Manager in February 2022. I qualified in 2010 as a level 3 practitioner and went on to gain experience in both schools and private settings.


Our nursery builds an environment inspired by the children’s interests, making secure bonds and attachments with children. Our fantastic team ensure every child has the best experiences and enjoys their time spent at Footsteps.


The early years are what I love most, watching children learn and grow from babies through to preschool and knowing you have been a part of their learning journey is amazing!
