I have always been very happy for both my children to attend Busy Beeds Edgbaston. The staff have always been incredibly helpful, attentive and caring towards the children. The nursery is just fantastic. I never worry when my son is there. I know he loves going and more importantly, he loves the members of staff he interacts with. They have coped with coming out of lockdown brilliantly and I have no concerns with my son attending as I am confident they are doing everything
they can to ensure the safety and health of all children and staff attending.

All three of my children have attended here, with my youngest currently attending preschool. The staff are friendly, polite and knowledgable about the children and their development. The activities are always fun and exciting, and I am always kept up to date with my child's learning, development, meals
and events as well as lovely photos on the app. The meals on offer are all prepared freshly on-site, which have even been accredited by the NHS. This nursery is fantastic. My children have been perfectly looked after.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. My son has only just left Busy Bees after being there for three years. I can honestly say they are the most wonderful, professional, amazing staff you could ever have the pleasure of meeting. They treat each child as an individual and ensure a personalised
approach to their care and their learning. Nothing was too much trouble for them and my son thrived throughout his time here. The toys, equipment and facilities are plentiful and varied and the outdoor space was fun and used often by the kids. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to future parents.

The time that my son spent at the nursery was precious for his development, confidence, and growth. The staff and management are so loving and caring that it shows across the nursery. I like their activities and involvement in the community. The food is really healthy (not just "starchy and sweet" crowd-pleasing
dishes). We relocated recently but my son remembered his teachers for a long long time.

Very friendly staff and always happy to help. My child is very happy here. I like how I can look at what she has eaten and done throughout the day via Iconnect and also see pictures of what she has done during the day. My daughter also loves the variety of food on offer.

First things first, the nursery is clean, colourful, has a variety of educational activities, and a diverse healthy menu so all of the things that you would initially look at. The staff are amazing! My child only went for Pre-School which was cut short due to COVID-19 but in that short space of time,
all staff formed a great relationship with not only my child but our family unit. They also advocate for children who may have a developmental delay and/or SEN. I highly recommend this nursery and when I have my final child, I will be sending them there.

Even after all of the nonsense of coronavirus, Busy Bees are still welcoming and friendly and helpful as ever. Great nursery, will always recommend. Love the staff and facilities. Great to see it so normal considering the current pandemic.

Diane Kennelly

Job Title: Centre Director

Hello my name is Diane and I am the Manager here at St James Road in Edgbaston. I have been working in childcare for over 27 years, 24 of which have been with Busy Bees. I have worked as a deputy manager and a senior room leader as well as being a manager for over 26 years. I also have a variety of experience in other areas of childcare including being a youth club leader and a brownie leader.


I am a mother of three and I have my level 4 qualification in Early Years as well as having completed many other courses such as, Safeguarding, First Aid at Work and Food Hygiene. I have also completed my Level 5 qualification in Management.


I find my job extremely fulfilling and I love nothing more then sitting in the base rooms and watching the children enjoying their fun filled days. The staff at Edgbaston are committed to providing quality childcare and they take great pride in watching the children grow and develop as they move through the rooms and eventually head off to school.
