I have had three children attend this Nursery the first one being in 2006 to the present day. I have always found the staff very friendly and extremely good with the children. Especially as one of my children has special needs. Impressed with how they support charity days throughout the year, Children in need, Jeans for genes day etc...

I have attended the days out that they organise a couple of times per year and visited places I would never have known about or got to enjoy. Not just a childcare provider an essential part of the local community.

Thank you very much Busy Bees. After moving to a new country and struggling to settle Busy Bees at St. James Road helped us with our daughter.

The environment here is really friendly and the review each day is really helpful. Thanks once again.

I have placed both of my children in this nursery and have felt comfortable both times. All the staff are friendly and happy to help with anything. I have never had any problems with staff or parents.

Both children did extremely well in pre-school with writing and numbers.

Overall Experience

My Grandson attended this nursery for 4 years and the experience was outstanding. From the day he started nursery at the age of six months, the care received has been exceptional. The activities offered by the company are fantastic to extend children's learning, the 'Cook With Me' and 'Science Area' were popular with our grandson. He loved being outside, so the garden area was fantastic for him, he really enjoyed exploring the mud kitchen where he made numerous mud pies and worm soups! When we ask him what he liked most about Busy Bees he says 'the real road in the garden for my cars and trucks'!! I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone looking for quality childcare. The staff are very caring and kind and made the transition from home to nursery very smooth.

My daughter loves the nursery and I would recommend to all parents.

Lovely, helpful staff and great location.

There is a good focus on learning with play which is suitable for our needs and for the development of my daughter in preparation for school.

Our son has been coming to Busy Bees since he was 9 months old, we are so grateful to all the staff for helping with his development and preparing him for school. All the staff have been so welcoming in each of his rooms and he enjoys coming to nursery everyday - he doesn't want to leave some days! :)

Big thank you to you all, keep up the good work!

Overall Experience
My son attended Busy Bee's nursery in Edgbaston from the age of 12 months to school.
I must say I was really happy with how my son has become such a lovely little boy and I feel Busy Bees had such a positive affect on him.

The nursery always kept me up to date with how his day was. Anything he did or if they had any problems. The food was always great and lots of options. Staff both in the rooms and the office are so friendly and approachable. If I ever had any problems they were soon sorted promptly and very professionally. When he was at the age to come out of nappies the nursery supported this straight away and asked to put him in pull ups. They care about their children and I would recommend anyone looking for a nursery to go for this one as its hard to trust anyone with your little one. But Busy Bees made my experience a good one. Now my son is in reception and doing amazing...

Diane Kennelly Job Title: Centre Director
Diane Kennelly

Hello my name is Diane and I am the Manager here at St James Road in Edgbaston. I have been working in childcare for over 27 years, 24 of which have been with Busy Bees. I have worked as a deputy manager and a senior room leader as well as being a manager for over 26 years. I also have a variety of experience in other areas of childcare including being a youth club leader and a brownie leader.

I am a mother of three and I have my level 4 qualification in Early Years as well as having completed many other courses such as, Safeguarding, First Aid at Work and Food Hygiene. I have also completed my Level 5 qualification in Management.

I find my job extremely fulfilling and I love nothing more then sitting in the base rooms and watching the children enjoying their fun filled days. The staff at Edgbaston are committed to providing quality childcare and they take great pride in watching the children grow and develop as they move through the rooms and eventually head off to school.
