I am really happy with the overall experience. The staff are great and I feel very happy that my daughter is cared for. My daughter's development has really improved since attending the nursery and I would be happy to recommend Busy Bees to anyone.

So happy with my children's progress since starting here. Both are more confident and have progressed so much. The staff are all friendly and helpful and have gone out of their way to know my children and tailor their learning by using their interests to encourage them.

We have experienced all stages (baby through to preschool) and have received consistent care and support from all staff. Their engagement and commitment to our child's development has been outstanding. The staff and setting are all trained and organised to a high standard, but are elevated by their
genuine investment to support learning through fun. Our child has an extended family at Busy Bees and as parents, we highly regard and value each member of staff that has contributed to our child's development.

Busy Bees is an amazing nursery. Very friendly staff. More like a family unit. The staff are very approachable. Can't do enough for the children and me as a parent. Would recommend this nursery one hundred times over. They are simply the best!

Excellent nursery with amazing staff! We have sent both our boys here. Because of Covid, we have had to drive out of our way to bring our son - but simply did not want to move him. Will miss the place when our son leaves in August.

Diane Kennelly

Job Title: Centre Director

Hello my name is Diane and I am the Manager here at St James Road in Edgbaston. I have been working in childcare for over 27 years, 24 of which have been with Busy Bees. I have worked as a deputy manager and a senior room leader as well as being a manager for over 26 years. I also have a variety of experience in other areas of childcare including being a youth club leader and a brownie leader.


I am a mother of three and I have my level 4 qualification in Early Years as well as having completed many other courses such as, Safeguarding, First Aid at Work and Food Hygiene. I have also completed my Level 5 qualification in Management.


I find my job extremely fulfilling and I love nothing more then sitting in the base rooms and watching the children enjoying their fun filled days. The staff at Edgbaston are committed to providing quality childcare and they take great pride in watching the children grow and develop as they move through the rooms and eventually head off to school.
