Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-School, Stonehouse (Harborne)

I cannot express how grateful I am for the support I have received from this nursery. As a new foster Mum, I encountered many challenges but was supported every step of the way. I was given invaluable advice from day one which enabled me to provide the best care possible and overcome the daily challenges associated with the 'terrible twos'. I class all of the staff at the nursery as friends as they go above and beyond to not only support and educate the children they care for but ensure their carers have a shoulder to lean on if needs be. My foster son excelled with both his communication skills and education whilst under their care and I would highly recommend this nursery to everybody. Thank you.

Our little boy loves his time at the nursery. There are such varied activities for him to get involved in each day and his key worker and team are amazing. We would highly recommend to any parents.

My son started nursery when he was 8months old. I was very wary of my son starting as I had never left him with anyone. The nursery staff were amazing as they always kept me up to date on how he is doing and reassured me via the app and whenever I called. My son loves it here and has developed so much, the activities are fantastic and they have amazing outdoor areas. I Couldn't recommend the nursery enough! Best nursery by far.

All the staff are warm, caring and professional. I know my son is being well cared for and he looks forward to going. The app is amazing and takes away the worry of leaving my child.

My daughter was 32 months when she joined the nursery after being at home during the pandemic. She has become more confident, sociable and happy. I feel like she has improved so much. She learns and plays happily with her peers. Her eating habits have improved since joining the nursery.

Friendly staff and my child highly enjoys attending. Attending has also improved his vocabulary. He uses a lot more words and enjoys talking a lot which I believe nursery has helped a lot with. Also has provided him with more structure and pays more attention to storytime.

I am really happy with the nursery, my daughter learns lots of new things every day, she is always happy, the preschool team are very friendly and kind. The team pay attention to children to help them learn and I really like the app because I know what they are doing and eating. I have kids of nice pictures of my child.

We came from Greece, found this amazing nursery that immediately accepted my twins for the 15 founded hours and start school. My kids didn't know any English but all the members of the staff helped them to adjust. In the nursery they learn the new language, they grow and they developed in many ways. I am so pleased with the hard work that they do and the love that they give to the kids that I'm really sorry to go back to Greece and have to take the kids from this school. My kids loved their teachers as well as and the chef. All the members of staff are amazing and I wish I can find a nursery like First Steps back home.

My little girl joined when she was 7 months old. It was a little difficult for her at first but the staff has been patient with her and she has grown to enjoy nursery. She developed a lot more since joining.

Would 110% recommend to anyone.

They have provided an excellent service for my children. Every day they do something different and have a variety of activities to suit most children. Each day is communicated over to the parent via the app and often also in person. Although this place is more costly than some others, I feel it is worth it.

I can’t fault anything at all at the nursery. My little boy not only has lots of opportunities to learn but develop his individual interests too. He is very happy playing, learning and exploring with his mates. The staff are just superb! The girls are always supportive and enthusiastic about each child. As a key worker, I and my husband can’t thank the staff enough for supporting us through a tough time. We couldn’t have done it without them!

This nursery has been outstanding for each of my children over the course of about two years. The staff have been amazing both supportive of the children and also myself as a parent. The children have come along so far within a short amount of time.

My three children have attended this nursery and I have felt extremely comfortable in leaving them from a young age. This nursery not only does the staff provide a safe environment but a warm and nurturing environment, which helps in your child's development from baby to preschool age. My children and my last child who is still currently attending enjoy it at this nursery and look forward to going. I am extremely grateful for everything they do for my child.

My son is extremely happy at this nursery and his development, particularly post lockdown has been incredible. The key workers are all very nice and professional and I believe they genuinely care for my son and his development. The nursery buildings and gardens are great, and there are lots of interesting activities. It’s a pleasure to see my son happily greet his key worker in the morning and is excited for his day and hear his stories of what he’s been up to in the evening.

Since my child has started at First Steps, the staff have been nothing but kind always smiling and going the extra mile to make sure my son has settled in. The activities and observations that have been done are outstanding and my son always seems to enjoy them when talking to me about them. I have nothing but praise for this nursery I have had not one bad experience.

The First Steps team has helped my daughter blossom into a confident, kind and independent girl. She has been going to the First Steps nursery from the time she was 7 months old and I can testify to the all-rounded excellent care she has always received. I think the success ingredient is the passion and energy that each carer brings to the table - everyone seems to genuinely enjoy looking after the children, playing with them, teaching along the way. A specific note to add that the team did very well in responding to the processes exerted by the pandemic - the swiftness with which changes were made to ensure everyone was safe was truly remarkable. The Nursery staff have been nothing other than very supportive and encouraging towards my son. He is progressing well considering he has some challenging behaviours. The Nursery itself is very homely and has a cosy feel which I think my son particularly warmed to. The Nursery staff are always helpful and give thorough feedback daily.

Our twins have been attending the nursery for 3 1/2 years and have been through every stage from baby, toddlers to pre-school. During that time they have had numerous key workers and I can say that without exception all have been excellent. All staff are caring, professional and friendly and have nurtured and supported the development of our children so well. Our children have been very happy at nursery and from observation during drop off and pick up time, all children at the nursery seem happy and engaged. I am confident that our children have been well prepared for the transition to primary school and would have no hesitation in recommending the setting to anyone.

We have been fortunate to have four children spend their early years with First Steps Nursery and all of the children have had a wonderful experience. The whole team and leadership have provided excellent support and care.
