Partou Langley Gorse Day Nursery & Pre-School is set in a rural Georgian mansion surrounded by three acres of private grounds, just a mile outside Sutton Coldfield town centre. It offers the best of both worlds, a beautiful countryside setting that remains easy to reach for local families, with outdoor experiences woven into the heart of everyday nursery life.

The nursery is highly rated by families, a real reflection of a team that works hard to build strong bonds with children, get to know their individual interests and curate early years learning activities that are genuinely engaging and fun.

Indoors, rooms are neutrally decorated and well-resourced with natural materials to encourage creativity and exploration. Children under two benefit from their own dedicated unit, complete with physical and sensory rooms designed to support motor and emotional development at this important early stage.

The fabulous garden gives children space to explore, have fun and develop motor skills and confidence in a truly special outdoor environment.

Family partnerships are warmly valued here. Stay and play sessions give families a real feel for nursery life, while events including a summer fete, autumn workshops and bake sales bring the nursery community together throughout the year.

If you are looking for a nursery in Sutton Coldfield with exceptional outdoor space, a dedicated team and a community that families love being part of, Partou Langley Gorse Day Nursery & Pre-School is well worth a visit.

I've been really pleased with Langley Gorse and my child has attended since 10 months old until the end of pre-school. Staff are really caring and I've never encountered any issues and my child has always been happy to go.

Nursery that works well for children. Takes an interest in the needs and interests of the children. They do a lot over and beyond eg., parents evenings/BBQ/summer parties etc.
Healthy food and very adaptable to the needs of the children. Inclusive of all children.

The nursery has played a very crucial role in our son's personal, emotional and social development. It has improved his speech, interpersonal skills and day to day dealings. Nursery staff are very helpful, always available and easy to approach. We can't thank them enough.

My son has been attending Langley Gorse for 18 months, he has grown into a very confident boy. The staff are amazing with the children, who care for them as if they were their own. The resources used are very natural and the outdoor space is huge. Children are encouraged to be independent thinkers when
playing with the prepared creative activities. All food served is prepared on site, lots of great home cooked meals. There are a variety of different meals weekly, which encourages children to try new things. An amazing nursery!

Lovely outside space and fabulous, friendly staff. Our daughter has thrived since joining and she always has loads to say about her fun and games throughout the day. We'll definitely be sending our second child here to give him a great start. Definitely recommend it.

What attracted us to the nursery was the number of rooms available for our daughter to enjoy throughout the day. In most nurseries, the baby room is the room for play and meals. All rooms are decorated and equipped with a simplicity that draws positive energy and spritted zestfulness. Not overstimulated.
Staff are very approachable and listen. The location is amazing. It's a real gem in a rural setting. My daughter has only attended nursery for just under 2 months, so far a good experience.

Our son loves coming to nursery and is always keen to show his friends and the staff new things or tell them about new experiences. He enjoys his meals here and it is often a challenge to get him to come home at the end of each day. He just wants to stay and play!
He is looking forward to going to
pre-school and is settling in really well in preparation for September.

My son has been attending Langley Gorse for the last year and has come on leaps and bounds in that time. He loves going to nursery each day and especially loves the huge garden, which he is able to spend as much time as he likes in.
The staff at Langley Gorse are great, they are always warm and friendly
and make sure they keep me and my partner informed of how our son is progressing and what he has been doing at nursery. The nursery itself is beautiful and has the most amazing outdoor space, which really sets it apart from other nurseries.

I took on an extra job to help pay for my grandson to go to nursery and I am so happy that I did! My grandson loves nursery so much, he has made lots of friends, loves his teachers and has learned so many new skills. He loves telling Nanny all about the things he has done at nursery and who he has played
with that day.
The staff at the nursery are so warm and welcoming, and can't do enough for the parents and children. They always seem genuinely thrilled when the children come in, which makes drop off time so much easier for everyone. I couldn't recommend Langley Gorse highly enough.

Last year my daughter joined in Pre-school. Our experience in Pre-school has been excellent. Staff members are really caring and do their job from their heart. My daughters' personality has really come out of her shell. Pre-school has given her confidence to speak and boosted her general knowledge about
the world around her. My daughter is imaginative, confident, knowledgeable, self-assured and can pretty much do everything on her own. She is all set to start school in September and already looking forward to it. This positive attitude towards school and learning is also given by Langley Pre-school. Many thanks to them.

My two year old had never been looked after outside of family before so I am very impressed with how quickly she has come out of her shell within the nursery. She has built up a brilliant relationship with the staff and other children. Never stops talking about them at home, is happy to go every morning.
Very happy mom!

Both of my sons attended the nursery for the last 8 months and the staff have been brilliant with them. My 3 year old is always coming home with stories of a fun day at the nursery. The staff have helped him to grow in confidence and helped him to prepare for going to school in September.

The nursery

has a fantastic menu and I am often in awe at how they manage to get my boys to eat so many vegetables! I am very pleased with how my children's key workers take an interest in their likes and dislikes outside of nursery and help to incorporate them into planning activities for them at the nursery.

The warmth of the staff and the beautiful grounds make Langley Gorse a brilliant choice. I will be sad when my eldest leaves.

Fantastic setting with very caring staff. The team have matured and developed my child in ways I would never have. He is now a caring yet confident child, he can count, write his name, dress and undress himself. He speaks French - only because the nursery has given him exposure to a 'French teacher'.
I am confident he is school ready and this is all thanks to Langley Gorse! Would recommend!

  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 32 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.982 for Partou Langley Gorse Day Nursery & Pre-school is calculated as follows: ( (377 Excellents x 5) + (7 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 384 Ratings = 4.982
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Partou Langley Gorse Day Nursery & Pre-school is based on 32 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 94 number of registered child places is 18.8, which has been reached with 32 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
