Partou Langley Gorse Day Nursery & Pre-School is set in a rural Georgian mansion surrounded by three acres of private grounds, just a mile outside Sutton Coldfield town centre. It offers the best of both worlds, a beautiful countryside setting that remains easy to reach for local families, with outdoor experiences woven into the heart of everyday nursery life.

The nursery is highly rated by families, a real reflection of a team that works hard to build strong bonds with children, get to know their individual interests and curate early years learning activities that are genuinely engaging and fun.

Indoors, rooms are neutrally decorated and well-resourced with natural materials to encourage creativity and exploration. Children under two benefit from their own dedicated unit, complete with physical and sensory rooms designed to support motor and emotional development at this important early stage.

The fabulous garden gives children space to explore, have fun and develop motor skills and confidence in a truly special outdoor environment.

Family partnerships are warmly valued here. Stay and play sessions give families a real feel for nursery life, while events including a summer fete, autumn workshops and bake sales bring the nursery community together throughout the year.

If you are looking for a nursery in Sutton Coldfield with exceptional outdoor space, a dedicated team and a community that families love being part of, Partou Langley Gorse Day Nursery & Pre-School is well worth a visit.

My child enjoys coming to Langley Gorse and has made some very good friends in the time he has been there. The outdoor space is perfect for him as there is lots of grass to run around, a mud kitchen, play house, pirate ship and so much more for him to explore. He has bonded with the staff and they make
time to talk to parents. They consider the children's interests when putting out activities and my child will come home and talk about nursery a lot. I think the nursery has transformed since he first started in 2014, with more improvements all the time. I am very pleased I chose this nursery for my child.

My son really is developing his own personality from being in the under 2's room. The staff are really helping bring on his talking and social skills. The staff are there to support us and if there's any help we need, they are there.

I could not be happier with the service and care provided for my son. He's currently in the Rising 3's Room and all staff in his room are attentive and very caring. They have built special bonds, which I find to be a great comfort as a mother.
My son has developed so much since being at nursery and
I truly believe that this is due to the continuous hard work and dedication from the staff at Langley Gorse. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a childcare provider.

Our son joined Langley Gorse back in 2016 when he was 11 months old. His progress through the under 2's was so quick. Every day he was learning new actions and to toddle. He moved to Rising 2's early and it was very reassuring to see his move was based on progress rather than age.

Staff are so

knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommended.

Langley Gorse is a friendly, welcoming environment. Since joining, my son has come on leaps and bounds! When he first began, the staff were great at settling him in to the new environment and within a couple of weeks he was walking in confidently. They always give regular feedback and updates and
are always there to help.

Langley is a wonderful nursery with great outdoor space, which the children always have access to and my son thinks is amazing. The staff here have always been polite, friendly and supportive of children and their families, offering guidance in all aspects of your child's learning journey. The prep
for primary school is fantastic which really helps with the transition. I cannot find words to express how happy my son has been here, most definitely highly recommended.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.982) out of 10 for Partou Langley Gorse Day Nursery & Pre-school is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 32 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 32 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.982 for Partou Langley Gorse Day Nursery & Pre-school is calculated as follows: ( (377 Excellents x 5) + (7 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 384 Ratings = 4.982
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Partou Langley Gorse Day Nursery & Pre-school is based on 32 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 94 number of registered child places is 18.8, which has been reached with 32 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
