Little Pioneers Swindon is a purpose built, modern nursery which is all on one level with large, bright and airy rooms and their supportive practitioners make Swindon feel like one big family.

They have an app, ParentZone, which keeps parents/carers informed about life at nursery with photos from their day, meals eaten, assessments and even toilet training progress! They have 5 Little Pioneers who help share their core values with children such as encouraging them to express their feelings to taking care of the world.

They are big on happy children which is why they have areas for growing food (and eating it), regular visits to local care homes and take care of each other and the world. They are silver eco schools accredited, a programme that sees children lead the way in making little changes that deliver big environmental differences.

They are also big on safety which is why ALL their staff are paediatric first aid trained.

At Little Pioneers Swindon Hospital Nursery there are four age appropriate spacious rooms, nought to one-year-olds, one to two-year-olds, two to three-year-olds and three to five-year-olds. All rooms have direct access and 'free flow' into the secure garden area. Each room is self-contained with a sleep room, nappy and toilet area and a milk kitchen for younger rooms.

My son has been at the nursery since February and he absolutely loves it, the staff are very friendly, helpful and look after my son really well. They know his little quirks and what makes him unique and that's really lovely to know. My son is very happy there and he has developed massively in confidence
since joining.

My grandaughter has been lucky enough to go to this amazing nursery since she was just over 1 years old. All the staff are super, knowledgeable, professional and caring. They create a safe and stimulating environment, supporting and challenging all the children in their care. I am particularly impressed
with their continual updates and reports on my granddaughter's progress and her general enjoyment of every day. Communication from her key worker and the office is excellent, as are the tasty nutritious meals she devours. She loves every minute she's there, she is happy and joyful and busy learning in an engaging and loving environment.

Amazing! My son loves his nursery and his teachers. Couldn't be happier with his speaking and learning since he's been attending 3 days a week. He loves going and coming home to tell me all about his days and the gifts they get them to make and bring back are lovely, so much attention to detail.

A brilliant nursery that is so convenient for me working at the hospital. My eldest has been attending since he was 5 months old and is now in the preschool room and my soon to be 9 months old will be joining in January. Staff are excellent and ensure you are given a good handover of what they have
done each day. They listen to any concerns you may have and really help to put you at ease. My little boy loves going which speaks volumes! Highly recommend.

My little boy started nursery in September 2024, from initial contact to his first day, it was a smooth transition! The staff were so welcoming, having never really left my son with others apart from family, I was feeling a bit nervous, but we were made to feel so at ease and nothing was too much! They
kept us updated with lots of pictures on his first day. All staff always greet you with a lovely smile! Rooms are also spacious for the children to explore and play. Couldn't recommend them enough.

We booked a place for our son before his birth as we were very impressed with the nursery and he started from 6 months old. He is now leaving having turned 4+ and we are very happy with his time at the nursery. It is a very lively and vibrant place that encourages a child's overall development. Everything
from facilities to food, to staff, to care overall has been excellent. It was an emotional day for us to attend his graduation ceremony recently! As he starts school soon we and our son will miss the nursery dearly and we thoroughly recommend it to other families!

My daughter has been at the nursery for just over a year, starting in the baby room. Always professional and work with you to what your child is learning and developing. Always update you in the day with what they’ve been doing and had to eat. Great learning environment, and can’t recommend them enough!

My son attended Little Pioneers from the age of 9 months until leaving to go to primary school. My wife and I were nervous about choosing a setting for him, as he has additional needs with Down syndrome, but as soon as we visited, our worries were quashed.
I will always recommend this nursery/preschool.
The care that my son has received has been second to none. He has thrived and developed so much!
But it is the amazing staff that have made it for me. Absolutely everyone has been too brilliant for words to describe.

The staff are friendly and professional and well-loved by both of my children. They complete so many activities in the day and spend time outside in the gardens which have recently had a revamp. Both my kids come home well-fed and tired out from a full day and have been supported to learn about a wide

Every part of this nursery is fantastic for both parents and children. Onboarding, drop-off, pick-up, food, daily activities, it's all top-tier stuff. For the kids, they get incredible care, great teaching, and a wide variety of activities in a fun atmosphere. This is without a doubt the best nursery
for miles, worth every penny. They make sure that both the big and small stuff are taken care of every day and it's because the staff are all exceptional.

The nursery staff are fantastic and always approachable to discuss matters openly, observing a confidential approach and great sensitivity. They are caring and always have time to listen to any concerns in regard to children. My child currently attends and it is amazing care and great determination
shown by the staff to develop young children with a positive attitude.


I would recommend since my child has been attending numbers have improved and language skills. And the confidence in my child has also grown. Learning needs are always observed in a sensitive manner and staff communication and high levels of service are given. Each child I see is treated with respect, care and kindness.


Standards of practice within and are very high and the standards are maintained at a high level. My child is always happy to be at the nursery and there are lots of activities that are available and is always differing each time visiting. It is clean tidy and presentable - 5 stars - very happy.

I’m very happy with the nursery. My child has allergies so I was particularly nervous about sending her. They have been nothing but helpful. The staff update the app so I get regular updates while she’s there. Overall I’m very pleased.

Awesome nursery, which our son has loved very much. Friendly, supportive staff, great facilities, activities and menu (including full support with dietary requirements). Additional support provided when needed for communication delay and readiness for school. We were very sad when our little one left
for primary school this August, but he was more than ready, thanks to the amazing support of the Little Pioneers team. Highly recommend this nursery.

My son started when he was 2 years old and left just a couple of weeks ago. Our experience there was amazing! The staff were always welcoming and friendly and my son was well looked after. He could never wait to get there and never wanted to leave, we will both truly miss the setting and all the staff

I have worked at the nursery since the day it opened in 2003 and have loved developing it into the amazing place it is today! I have over 30 years of experience in childcare and use my knowledge and experience to build the team and the nursery to be the best.


As a mum of 2, I know what things are important to families and cascade these thoughts and feelings to the team so they get a true understanding and empathy towards our families.

I was first introduced to the Little Pioneers nursery when I completed a placement here as part of my college training back in 2012. I thoroughly enjoyed my time, so much so that I applied for a position and became a colleague as soon as I completed my training! I have worked my way up from Nursery Nurse to Room Manager, Third in charge and most recently I have taken on the role of the Deputy Manger. I worked in the 2-3s and under 2 ages mainly. I am the nursery SENCO and enjoy supporting families that need a little bit more support for their child. I work full time so you will get to see me every day, I'm always happy to stop for a chat and if you need to pick my brains about something then I'm here for you!
