I can not praise Yew Trees and all the team there enough. From our first viewing with our eldest to onboarding my youngest, we have had nothing but warmth, care, and support from everyone that we've encountered. From coming from another nursery to this one, the difference has been clear that this is
just a much better quality nursery (whilst even being cheaper!)

It's obvious that the management and the staff have a genuine commitment to the care and development of the children. Our kids have such lovely connections with the staff and each other and that's all down to the team's hard work making that happen.

The setting is beautiful, with so much open space, greenery, nature and wildlife to interact with. The food is made with thought and care, and I love hearing the updates about how they source and prepare the high-quality ingredients. I appreciate the Famly app too, great transparency of the kids activities, quality photos, much better user interface than other apps like Tapestry

Reply from Catriona Smith, Manager at Yew Trees NurseryThank you so much for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful and detailed review. Your kind words truly mean a great deal to all of us at Yew Trees.

Your comments about our team, the children's relationships, our natural setting, and the care that goes into our food are incredibly appreciated. We're also pleased that you're finding the Famly app helpful for staying connected and informed about your children's days.

Thank you again for your trust and support - it's a real privilege to be part of your children's early years journey.

Yew tree have been amazing from the very start. Myself and my son found the first few weeks quite hard with drop offs and settling in but all the staff were very supportive. They are very informative about his daily interactions and progress. The app they use is great for this. B has now been going
to yew trees for 2 months and he absolutely loves it , he reaches out for the girls when he arrives and gets so excited when we head out to the car in the morning. To me that is a great sign as he has always been very sure about who he likes just from his body language. At the end of the day they are caring for the most precious thing in your life and I trust them wholeheartedly. Yew tree has been recommended to me countless times and I continue to recommend them to anyone that's looking for a nursery. Overall all the girls are so lovely, friendly and fun. They have endless activities for the babies and I love how much time they spend outside as we are a very outdoors family .
Reply from Catriona Smith, Manager at Yew Trees NurseryThank you so much for your lovely feedback. We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your kind words with us. It means a great deal to our whole team to know that you and your child are happy with the care and support we provide.

Many Thanks

From the first viewing of Yew Trees, I knew it was the place I wanted my son to attend. He's been there 8 months and the progress I've witnessed in him has been amazing. He loves attending and has made some really fantastic memories. Holly is my son's keyworker and the bond they have is incredible,
he talks about her even on days he isn't due to attend. I can see a genuine care for him from her and this is all I could have asked for. I feel very lucky that she is his keyworker and that he has a place there.
All the other staff I have had interactions with have been warm and friendly also. I can't speak highly enough about our personal experience with this nursery. They are contributing to making my son a very content, polite, happy and well mannered little boy and I am very proud of him.
Reply from Natalie Purkiss, Head of Childcare at Yew Trees NurseryThank you so much for taking the time to write such a beautiful review of the setting. Our son has been attending the toddler room at nursery for the past year, and the progress he has made in that time has been nothing short of amazing. He attends three times a week and absolutely thrives in the environment.
When he first started, he struggled with communication, which often led to
frustration and challenging behaviour at home. However, we noticed a significant improvement in such a short space of time. Since then, he has continued to flourish both in nursery and at home.
A huge part of this progress is thanks to his incredible key worker. She has been so attentive, supportive, and genuinely invested in his development. She has helped him build essential skills - especially in communication, social interaction, and emotional understanding -in ways we couldn't have done alone. The difference in his confidence and overall happiness is clear to see.
We are so grateful for the care, dedication, and positive impact the nursery and his key worker have had on his early years.

My youngest daughter has just started at Yew Trees. I'm so impressed with the way the staff follow your normal home routine and take time to learn all about your child. Her key worker Ellen has been amazing and my daughter has quickly warmed to her.
She is very well fed there and the variety of meals
they have is great.
Thank you Yew Trees!

From the moment I first visited the nursery, I knew I would be doing my child a disservice by not sending him here. The setting is outstanding -with plenty of outdoor activities, a fantastic menu, and passionate, caring staff. Under their care, my child has come on in leaps and bounds. It's so reassuring
to know he is safe, happy, and thriving in this environment. My only wish is that they would go on to open a primary school too!

My son has been attending Yew Trees for nearly a year and from the very first encounter at our show around to now, its has been nothing but outstanding! My son is in currently in babies and all the staff within his room are amazing, particularly the ladies who group keywork him. They are genuine, kind,
helpful ladies. My son loves it here, he is always happy, loves all the activities set out for him and finds comfort in those that look after him. Nothing asked is too much trouble. The communication is brilliant, any questions I have are answered promptly and professionally. The app is well managed and I love waiting for the daily update. The staff in the office are supportive, understanding and will always help wherever they can. The menu is great, full of variety and lovely food. I leave him at nursery knowing he is looked after to the highest of standards, stimulated, supported and above all- loved. I could not have wished for a better place for my son.

From our very first conversation with Yew Trees, we've felt an overwhelming sense of warmth, care, and trust. Every day, we know Conor is in the best hands - we're always kept informed and reassured about his day, and it's clear how much love and attention goes into everything in the baby room.
The
entire team radiates kindness and dedication, making both the children and their families feel truly supported and welcomed.
We are especially grateful to one lady, whose gentle guidance, encouragement, and care have meant so much to him over the past year. She has helped him grow in confidence and happiness, and for that, we will be forever thankful.

Yew Tree's is such a lovely nursery. My son attended 6 years ago for 3 years and when having my daughter I knew exactly where I wanted her to attend. The staff are so lovely & supportive, you can really see they love the job they do. It feels safe for both the parents and I know my child feels safe
everytime she happily waves me off with her keyworker. The communication from the nursery is fantastic, the setting is welcoming and spacious with beautiful outdoor surroundings that provide a huge outdoor space for the children. I highly rate Yew Tree's Nursery.

My child attends the baby room, 3 days a week. His older Brother attended from 1 until 4 years old when he transitioned to school. My youngest enjoys it just as much as my eldest did. I am helped to feel reassured by daily updates on the app (photos individually and with his friends). We also have the
opportunity during pick up and drop off to share information between us.
The team at Yew Trees follow our lead in terms of his routine - adapting his nap and when he eats so that this is consistent with home life.
I love that he has the opportunity to spend time in other spaces other than being stuck in 1 room. The outdoor areas are fantastic- my son will often talk about seeing the chickens, sheep and tractors.
The food menu is great, as is the range of activities and themed days that are held.
I honestly cannot find anything negative to share. I have upmost trust in all of the staff with my child so even when his key worker is on annual leave, I know he will be fine.

Yew Trees are simply amazing. My little girl started in the baby room at 9 months old and is due to finish in August as she heads off to school. She has absolutely thrived here and the staff are simply wonderful. The food menu is 5* and I don't think there is a meal she hasn't eaten in 4 years. They
have chickens which the children regularly help clean out along with forest school on/ off site. Last week my daughter went to pick blackberries on site and then they made jam. Staff regularly update the app so you get to see what your little ones have been up too. My little boy has just started in the baby room and I'm so excited for him to start his journey here. I recommend Yew trees to everyone I know needing a nursery that is truly 5*.

My son has absolutely loved his time at Yewtrees Nursery. He's had wonderful key workers who know him well and adapt to his needs and interests. We get regular updates on what is going on at the nursery and how he his doing with his own development. They are really inventive with the activities they
provide and the beautiful spaces they have to play in - ensuring that there is always variety in each week and month. There is so much room to roam outside and they often have the freedom to do the activities they want to do. He's settled in quickly to each room as he's moved through the nursery, and comes home happy and contented - a sign that he's made strong and safe connections with both the children and the key workers around him. I've really appreciated all the efforts made to align with us on how we parent and ensure our son's emotional needs are met as best they can. I would recommend this nursery to anyone looking for a safe, secure and nurturing environment for their little ones.
Reply from Natalie Purkiss, Head of Childcare at Yew Trees NurseryThank you so much for your wonderfully detailed review. It is so nice to hear that your experience of the nursery has been so positive. We are extremely proud of the outdoor space we have and how it lends itself to so many learning opportunities for the children all year round. The staff work very hard to ensure each individual child's interests are taken into consideration alongside what their next steps in their learning are when they plan activities. This supports children to engage and progress in their development. It is so important to us that children feel safe and secure. We know they learn best when they do! A huge part of this is down to the dedicated staff who are compassionate and care deeply about the children and the families they support. I will ensure they receive your feedback, I know it will be appreciated. Best wishes

The Yew Tree staff have been nothing short of amazing in helping both my little one and me settling in to the nursery. We both found the big step of going to nursery hard but I've had as much support and care as my little one has. They updated me as much as I needed and super quickly, and now she happily
goes there every other afternoon. They really have made a huge difference in our lives and in my little one's learning and confidence. I'm so happy she got a place at Yew Tree Nursery and would recommend them to everyone, especially first time mums who may be nervous about leaving their little ones.

From the moment we enrolled, the caring and devoted staff have made us feel welcomed and supported. The nursery perfectly balances fun and learning, offering a diverse
range of engaging activities that foster creativity, social skills, and independence. My son explores his interests, enjoys nutritious meals, and makes new friends. The outdoor space is exceptional, featuring room for play, beautiful natural surroundings, and even friendly chickens. Communication with parents is exceptional, with regular updates that keep us informed about daily activities and milestones. The nursery provides valuable guidance for parents, encouraging development at home and fostering a collaborative community. 1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 100 number of registered child places is 20, which has been reached with 42 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
