I can not praise Yew Trees and all the team there enough. From our first viewing with our eldest to onboarding my youngest, we have had nothing but warmth, care, and support from everyone that we've encountered. From coming from another nursery to this one, the difference has been clear that this is
just a much better quality nursery (whilst even being cheaper!)

It's obvious that the management and the staff have a genuine commitment to the care and development of the children. Our kids have such lovely connections with the staff and each other and that's all down to the team's hard work making that happen.

The setting is beautiful, with so much open space, greenery, nature and wildlife to interact with. The food is made with thought and care, and I love hearing the updates about how they source and prepare the high-quality ingredients. I appreciate the Famly app too, great transparency of the kids activities, quality photos, much better user interface than other apps like Tapestry

Reply from Catriona Smith, Manager at Yew Trees NurseryThank you so much for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful and detailed review. Your kind words truly mean a great deal to all of us at Yew Trees.

We're delighted to hear how positively your family's experience has been, from your first visit through to your youngest joining us. Creating a nurturing, high-quality environment where children feel safe, happy, and supported in their development is at the heart of everything we do, so it's wonderful to know this has come across so clearly.

Your comments about our team, the children's relationships, our natural setting, and the care that goes into our food are incredibly appreciated. We're also pleased that you're finding the Famly app helpful for staying connected and informed about your children's days.

Thank you again for your trust and support - it's a real privilege to be part of your children's early years journey.

We have had such a wonderful experience with Barley Wood .Our son attended for several years and absolutely thrived. He grew in confidence, made lovely friendships, and was always excited to go in each morning. The team supported him brilliantly through every stage, and the transition to school was
so smooth thanks to the strong foundation they helped build.
Now our daughter has just started in Rabbits, and we already feel completely reassured. The team has been incredibly caring and attentive, taking the time to get to know her personality and despite a few tears initially, helping her settle in beautifully. It's clear how much they genuinely care for the children, and the communication with parents is always excellent.
We feel very grateful to have found a nursery that is consistent, nurturing, and truly dedicated to the children's wellbeing and development. I would highly recommend.
Reply from Natalie Purkiss, Head of Childcare at Barley Wood NurseryThank you so much for writing such a lovely 5* review of Barley Wood Nursery. I like that the nursery has a rural setting, there is no main road near the children and they have access to fresh, open air, and a large amount of outdoor area. The kitchen staff also deliver nutritional food that is clearly well thought out. There's also certain staff members who have taken the time
to get to know the needs of our child across his nursery experience.

Yew tree have been amazing from the very start. Myself and my son found the first few weeks quite hard with drop offs and settling in but all the staff were very supportive. They are very informative about his daily interactions and progress. The app they use is great for this. B has now been going
to yew trees for 2 months and he absolutely loves it , he reaches out for the girls when he arrives and gets so excited when we head out to the car in the morning. To me that is a great sign as he has always been very sure about who he likes just from his body language. At the end of the day they are caring for the most precious thing in your life and I trust them wholeheartedly. Yew tree has been recommended to me countless times and I continue to recommend them to anyone that's looking for a nursery. Overall all the girls are so lovely, friendly and fun. They have endless activities for the babies and I love how much time they spend outside as we are a very outdoors family .
Reply from Catriona Smith, Manager at Yew Trees NurseryThank you so much for your lovely feedback. We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your kind words with us. It means a great deal to our whole team to know that you and your child are happy with the care and support we provide.

We always strive to create a nurturing, engaging environment where children can grow and thrive, and it's wonderful to hear that this is reflected in your experience.

Many Thanks

I was initially very apprehensive about my babies starting nursery, I found it very stressful and was torn in two about what to do. I found the nursery very understanding and accommodating. In particular the manager of the nursery was very friendly, reassuring and kind towards me during this overwhelming
time. The babies have now settled extremely well, and the staff are all so warm, friendly and approachable. I have gotten to know them all in such a short space of time and this has provided reassurance and peace of mind. They use an app, and keep me completely up to date of how the babies are getting on and this has been a great platform of instant communication. Highly recommend the nursery, mainly because of all of the lovely staff working there.
Reply from Lisa Marchent, Manager at The Old Potting Shed NurseryThank you for your 5* review, it is fantastic to hear we were able to support not only your children but yourself in settling into the nursery environment. We acknowledge that when the families are feeling reassured and secure this supports the children with settling into the setting also. The teams in all our rooms strive to provide a calm caring environment for all who come to the nursery.
I will be sure to pass on your feedback to the team

The staff at the Old Potting Shed, particularly the room leads, go above and beyond to help both the children and parents. They greet all the children with warmth, kindness and patience and help them work through any difficulties or big emotions they might be feeling. All stages of transition are done

The outside space is amazing, loads of resources inside and out for learning and development, and friendly staff. Extra events such as a sports day and parents play days
make it even more personal for parents. The app is well managed by all the team; always contactable and reply timely. Very grateful for the excellent preparation for school.

It is such a friendly team at Meadowside that I genuinely feel comfortable leaving my child with them. They go above and beyond to make my child feel safe, comfortable and happy so much so that it is fair to say the staff meet and exceed any expectations you would have of a preschool. My little one
