Our child likes going to Stepping Stones. They have made some great friends and comes home able to tell us what they have done for the day. They go to the early and late wrap around which works really well for us and our child. Recently they have been doing lots of seasonal things and performed Christmas
songs for parents, which our child loved doing. My wife was able to go but I wasn't, however videos were put up on the app for us to see which way really nice.
Reply from Natalie Purkiss, Head of Childcare at Stepping Stones Pre-SchoolThank you for your review of Stepping Stones. I am delighted that your child enjoys their time at the setting and they are keen to tell you all about the exciting things they have been up to during the day. Bridie and the team have loved showcasing the children's talents with their singing and performing over Christmas, so it is lovely that you were able to to see this and enjoy it on video. Best wishes Natalie

Really love this preschool, my son has only attended since November but he has come on leaps and bounds and is so much more confident. He is excited to go in every day and is excited to tell me everything he has been doing when I pick him up. All of the staff are so friendly and wonderful. It really
is a lovely place and I'm so happy for my son to be going there.
Reply from Natalie Purkiss, Head of Childcare at Meadowside PreschoolThank you for your review of Meadowside. We are so glad we chose Wooden House for our daughter's nursery. The nursery has a lovely rural setting with amazing outside space for the children to play. The staff are all very welcoming and friendly and are incredibly attentive to all the children's needs. They very much work with the parents to
ensure that your child's needs are met. My daughter struggled when she first started at nursery as she was very shy and introverted around people she didn't know or in unfamiliar environments. The staff were amazing at helping her to settle into nursery and within just two weeks, we'd already noticed a big difference. A few months on, and she has blossomed. She has so much more confidence now and loves interacting with new people. We've even had family remark on the change and we feel that Wooden House has played a big part in this. The app is great and it's lovely to see the activities that they plan for the children. They also spend a lot of time outdoors which I love.
Reply from Caroline Taplin, Manager at Wooden House NurseryMany thanks for your kind review. It has been lovely to see how your daughter has progressed and grown in confidence. It is so valuable to have good relations and communication with parents so we can work together on processes such as settling in and I think that this has been key for your daughter.

My little boy has been going here since last September and we love it. The staff are amazing, all of them are attentive, kind and patient. Information sharing is amazing, we get so much information about his day, both at the gate and through the communication app. Activities seem varied, including lots
of outdoor play, scavenger hunting, sports and exploring. Indoor play often includes structured learning like numbers, letters, and healthy foods. I like the support with teeth cleaning at the moment. But also lots of fun, with dancing and music. We love it, can stress enough how kind and supportive the staff are.
Reply from Natalie Purkiss, Head of Childcare at Meadowside PreschoolThank you so much for leaving such a detailed 5* review of Meadowside. We are delighted that you are so happy with the setting and the care your son receives. Your review will support other families who are looking for childcare in the area and I know the team also really appreciate being acknowledged for all their dedication to the families we serve. Our son loves being outdoors, so the rural setting and amazing outside space at Wooden House were what first drew us in and really sets them apart from other nurseries in and around Tiverton. The staff are so friendly and caring, and we love getting regular updates through the app each day.
Having previously
had a childminder and after relocating, this was a big change for our 2 year old - he sometimes finds drop-offs hard, but the team have been brilliant at helping him (and us!) through this. We know he's happy there and really enjoys his days. His communication skills have also come on so much since starting 4 months ago too. We're really glad we chose Wooden House.
Reply from Caroline Taplin, Manager at Wooden House NurseryThank you for taking the time to complete a review. We are very lucky with our outside space and it is somewhere the children like to spend a lot of their time. I am glad that we have been able to support you as a family as part of the settling in process. We know how difficult it can be for everyone to change settings so it is important to us that we consider the whole family in this process.

We can't say enough about how good wooden house has been for both of are children especially are boy. He started nursery really upset and unsettled but now he will happily run in and enjoy himself. They support both our children when they had to adjust to having a new brother at home. There so welcoming
and nothing seem to be a problem. The outside space is brilliant especially when you've got children who love going outside also the new room set ups are outstanding. They've made the whole nursery experience a lot more easier especially with all the updates throughout the day, it feels like an extension to our family.
Reply from Caroline Taplin, Manager at Wooden House NurseryThank you for your lovely review. It is great to hear how we have been able to help your son in particular settle especially as he found it difficult to leave you initially. I am pleased to hear how you like the new room and with access straight onto the garden it has been very popular with the children.

Our little one has flourished at BarleyWood in such a short time. Even at just one year old, she has been encouraged to explore, play, and engage with the world around her in such a safe and nurturing environment. Every day she comes home happy and full of excitement from the adventures she's had outdoors
and the new things she's experienced.

The staff are incredibly caring and attentive, always supporting her development while allowing her to discover at her own pace. It's amazing to watch her curiosity, confidence, and joy grow so quickly. We feel so grateful for the loving and inspiring environment Barley Wood provides for our little one.

Our son started at Wooden House when he was 11 months old, and now at 2 years old he has thrived in their care.
The team have always made us feel welcomed and reassured. They take the time to understand our childs needs and personality, and it's clear how much they genuinely care. We can see how much
he enjoys his time there through the learning, play and relationships he's built.
As parents, we've always felt informed and supported. Nursery staff are approachable, open and happy to talk about his day or answer any questions. We would recommend Wooden House to any family looking for a nurturing and supportive childcare setting.

My son is always excited to go to pre-school! And they have such lovely staff, and great activities for the children to do! The only gripe I have is the fact we can't choose to have packed lunch, would be nice for the option as sometimes I can see where my child has hardly eaten anything as he's not
keen on it, where if he'd had lunch that day he would have eaten more!
Reply from Natalie Purkiss, Head of Childcare at Stepping Stones Pre-SchoolThank you very much for taking time to leave a 5* review of Stepping Stones.
We appreciate your feedback on the meals, and understand that as a newly implemented benefit to the children at Stepping Stones, it may take a little time for some children to become used to having a hot meal at the setting.
We are very proud of our catering offer and know the positive impact having wholesome, freshly cooked, nutritionally balanced meals that are prepared fresh each day has on the children's physical and emotional wellbeing. Mealtimes for us are more than just food, they are an opportunity for children to develop independence skills and life long healthy habits. We also see the social benefits to children coming together to eat cooked food that expose them to a rich variety of flavours and textures. Please do speak with Bridie should you have any questions or feel that there is anything that we can support you with further. Best wishes Natalie

Our daughter absolutely loves Yew Trees. The outdoor space is fantastic, and the staff truly nurture her passion for nature and exploration. She has a wonderful bond with her key worker, who is incredibly kind, caring, and attentive to each child's individual needs. We feel she takes the time to genuinely
get to know the children and supports them in recognising and understanding their emotions. Our daughter feels completely comfortable and secure in this setting; she trusts the carers and is confident enough to talk openly about how she feels. She often tells us about her day and how much she has enjoyed it.

Barley wood is such a special place for children and the staff go above and beyond. All three of my children have attended and we wouldn't choose anywhere else.
The outside space available is outstanding; from visiting the fishpond, to the cows or exploring the woods there is so much to do!
The
care provided is exceptional, nothing is too much trouble and children's have a wonderful time when there with lots of activities and experiences.
Additionally they were able to support daughter number two with her 1:1 medical needs to a high standard, with excellent communication and dedication to all the training required.
