Circus Day Nursery Ltd has been established with a focus on quality early years learning, taking pride in an atmosphere where children can thrive and feel motivated.

An extensive and beautiful garden and a flexible range of play resources allow for a flexible approach to key early years goals, as well as many additional enhanced activities, including Forest School. Each day is packed with a variety of learning and development activities, along with outdoor play.

An all-weather surface and canopy mean there is the opportunity for outdoor play, whatever the weather, with children enjoying the nature and growing sections, along with all the other sections in the garden.

As well as a skilled approach to education, the nursery also supports healthy eating, supporting each individual child's diet. The head chef has a wonderful array of beautiful recipes that the children love and thoroughly enjoy. The children also engage in cooking and baking sessions.

The setting has recently achieved the Millie's Mark Award, ensuring all staff are qualified in Pediatric First Aid, offering peace of mind and prestigious award the setting is proud and honoured to have achieved.

Funding & Fees

We charge an hourly private fee rate that is fully inclusive of food/snacks/drinks/nappies/formula, enhanced activities, and everything not included in the Government Funding. Funding is available for eligible 9-month-olds, 2-year-olds, and 3-4-year-olds; however, it does not cover everything included in the private fee, so we may have consumable charges that apply during funded hours (subject to terms and conditions). We offer government funding for 9-month-old children and can handle the administration and support for any required paperwork. Limited spaces are available, so please contact us to arrange your personal tour of our beautiful setting, which is listed as a "house of interest". We are a family-run business established in 1997, with a long-term, dedicated staff team with many years of experience in the Early Years, who share their passion for the Early Years. We pride ourselves on our wonderful staff team and heartfelt dedication to making a positive difference.

All three of my children have had the joy of attending Circus Day Nursery from baby suite right through to Pre-school and have thoroughly enjoyed their time there. The staff are extremely kind, caring and friendly that the children feel immediately reassured and settled when being dropped off and upon
collection, you can see that they have had a wonderful day of play and fun. I always highly recommend this nursery when anyone I know is looking for childcare support as I can see that the management takes good care when selecting staff and also with the setting the children play in as I have seen it for myself for the past 10 years.

We could not be happier with the Circus Day Nursery. Our youngest daughter is 18 months old and our eldest is 3 years old - both are thriving at Circus! The staff are wonderful - they take care to get to know the children, they are incredibly kind, professional and full of fun, and they communicate
exceptionally well with parents. The facilities at the nursery are fabulous and our girls love to tell us all about their active days (if they're not too exhausted from all the fun they've been having!). We would recommend Circus to anyone looking for a nursery for their little ones - it really is worthy of all the awards going!

We've loved Circus since my eldest started 4 years ago. My son has gone from the babies floor and is now finally in preschool and they’ve always looked after him wonderfully. Special thank you to the staff for always being so friendly and supportive.

I think the best way to know how Circus Day Nursery does is by seeing how happy my daughter is. She's always smiling and doesn't want to leave most days. At home, she asks for some of her teachers and will tell me "I want to cuddle with (insert teacher's name)." It's very heartwarming as a parent to
know that when you drop your child off, they are not just in good hands but in caring and kind hands.

Circus Day Nursery has been an absolutely outstanding child care provider to our little girl since day one. From the simple things, extending to much larger issues such as dealing with Covid-19 regulations. Our little one started during 2020 and the nursery made things as clear and simple as possible
but managed to keep the personal touch, to ensure we were confident and reassured, especially as they were unable to offer the usual settling in the procedure. Their communication with parents is excellent and we have always felt that they do the best thing for our child. She always seems happy and well cared for, and the staff always spend time to give a really thorough update after each session. We would highly recommend this nursery to anyone within the area. Thank you to all the staff.

My child is currently in the pre-school setting and all the staff in this sector are extremely friendly and positive every day, no matter what time we drop off or collect. The overall staff morale is clear. They are happy and vivacious and the children are the exact same. Communication to admin is always
met with promptness and politeness and no query is an issue. I like the social media element of the nursery and the various events and news shared. It gives all an awareness and showcases the different areas in the nursery. I am proud to tell friends and family that my child is apart of the Circus Day family.

A beautiful nursery, that has been designed with ever-curious children in mind. Every staff member I have come across is friendly yet professional. It speaks volumes that my son runs away from his career, come home time, because he doesn’t want to go home. The team keeps me updated on all relevant things
surrounding him, good, bad and educational and that is in addition to the wonderful tapestry app. The nursery staff and especially management should be highly commended on how they have adjusted and overcome many obstacles with the current situation. Despite the pandemic, the team's caring attitude has never wavered. I cannot thank you all enough for creating a space from our home to which my son loves just as much.

Our son gets so excited each time he goes to Nursery. The staff are awesome. I can’t thank them enough for giving our son the confidence and courage that he now shows every day.
All of the staff are so caring and do everything they can to make his time at nursery as fun and informative as they can.

My son has been attending since he was 1 and is now in his final few months at pre-school. He has thrived in the setting from day one and it’s clear how much all the staff care about the children there. My youngest daughter has been at Circus Day Nursery for a few months now, she absolutely loves it and we are so pleased we choose Circus.
All the staff are so caring, helpful and friendly and our daughter's keyworker is fantastic.
So many positives:

We have 2 girls attending Circus Nursery, 1 4-year-old and 1 18month old. Both absolutely love it. The older one goes on so many trips and does so many activities that it is no wonder she loves going and asks if she’s going every morning. They just have the most fun. She always wants to stay longer
when we go to collect her. The staff are all amazing, they do so much with them every day. We’re so pleased we chose Circus Nursery when we recently moved to the area. It took no time at all for them to settle into a new nursery.

Both my children (girl and boy) go to Circus Day Nursery and they both love going. It is almost sad how they run off to play with their friends and key workers rather than say goodbye to Daddy. My eldest daughter is in pre-school and has loved all her time in the various groups. My youngest is now coming
up to his second year and Circus Day Nursery have repeated the trick of making sure he can’t wait to come in each morning. Both my kids are very different from each other but both love their days at Circus Day Nursery.


They do field trips out to the library, theatre, literary festival or just down to a local park, either walking into town or by catching the bus.


The key workers do have a good connection with the children and this has happened in each group. I get a good update each day on what the child has done, slept, eaten and generally how they are.


I would highly recommend Circus Day Nursery to any of my friends.

Both of my children go to Circus Day Nursery. My 4-year-old boy goes to preschool and loves it, he asks to go on his days off! They do such a variety of things and there are a lot of opportunities and experiences open to them including trips and clubs by outside providers.
My little girl is approaching
20 months and has been attending Circus Day Nursery since she was 9 months old. She has settled well due to such caring and loving staff.


We couldn’t be happier with our choice of nursery. The facilities are amazing, especially the garden. They are always looking to improve. The staff are what make it, they are all so approachable and lovely with the children, you can tell they really care!

Wonderfully friendly and energetic staff who make the environment fun and welcoming for the children.
Always lots of activities going on and a chance for the kids to get involved in lots of different things.
My daughter enjoys every minute she spends at the nursery and is always sad when it comes
