Circus Day Nursery Ltd has been established with a focus on quality early years learning, taking pride in an atmosphere where children can thrive and feel motivated.

An extensive and beautiful garden and a flexible range of play resources allow for a flexible approach to key early years goals, as well as many additional enhanced activities, including Forest School. Each day is packed with a variety of learning and development activities, along with outdoor play.

An all-weather surface and canopy mean there is the opportunity for outdoor play, whatever the weather, with children enjoying the nature and growing sections, along with all the other sections in the garden.

As well as a skilled approach to education, the nursery also supports healthy eating, supporting each individual child's diet. The head chef has a wonderful array of beautiful recipes that the children love and thoroughly enjoy. The children also engage in cooking and baking sessions.

The setting has recently achieved the Millie's Mark Award, ensuring all staff are qualified in Pediatric First Aid, offering peace of mind and prestigious award the setting is proud and honoured to have achieved.

Funding & Fees

We charge an hourly private fee rate that is fully inclusive of food/snacks/drinks/nappies/formula, enhanced activities, and everything not included in the Government Funding. Funding is available for eligible 9-month-olds, 2-year-olds, and 3-4-year-olds; however, it does not cover everything included in the private fee, so we may have consumable charges that apply during funded hours (subject to terms and conditions). We offer government funding for 9-month-old children and can handle the administration and support for any required paperwork. Limited spaces are available, so please contact us to arrange your personal tour of our beautiful setting, which is listed as a "house of interest". We are a family-run business established in 1997, with a long-term, dedicated staff team with many years of experience in the Early Years, who share their passion for the Early Years. We pride ourselves on our wonderful staff team and heartfelt dedication to making a positive difference.

We are really happy with the car provided at Circus Day Nursery. The staff are friendly and caring and my daughter is very happy here. The outside space if great and there are always lots of planned activities which support creative and emotional development.

My son currently attends Circus Day Nursery and we couldn’t be more pleased with the education and care that he receives! Each day of activities is well thought-out, engaging and fun. His team of carers are dedicated, passionate and very knowledgeable about early years. I’m blown away daily by all the
new things that my son comes home telling me about from songs he learned to stories he heard, role-playing fun he’s had, or outdoor adventures he’s been on in the garden. He is gaining new skills and knowledge every session. Also, he loves all of the home-cooked meals!


My son is very happy at Circus and I feel that the education that he receives is setting him up very well for when he starts school next year, and helping him continue to grow into a wonderful, caring and imaginative little boy. My second son will be joining later this year and I feel confident returning to work in the knowledge that my two boys will be well looked after and happy!

My daughter attended Circus Day Nursery from eighteen months to four years and had a wonderful time. My twenty-two month old son now attends. He loves his time at Circus, he was very unsettled when he started but the team were so good at helping him get used to his routine and now he goes in without

I can't praise the staff at Circus Day Nursery & Pre-school enough! Right from the start, they have shown great care and attentiveness to my son. On more than one occasion, they have gone above and beyond my expectations.
My son's daily life and language skills have advanced dramatically since starting
at Circus. Thank you!
My only suggestion would be to set up a little welcome pack - knowing the usual pick-up times and general routines etc. would have been very helpful in the beginning.

My daughter has been at Circus Day Nursery part-time for about six months now. She was a lockdown baby and very unsure with people when she started but she was happy and comfortable at nursery much more quickly than I expected. The staff have always been great at fostering a really cooperative relationship
to help her thrive. They give thorough updates and very considerate contributions toward her development. It is a great comfort to know that her carers really do care about her, beyond just making sure she is safe. She is happy and confident with people now and although she only attends a couple of days a week I attribute a lot of her confidence to nursery.

Our little boy loves his time at Circus Day Nursery & Pre-school and always comes out smiling and content. We love how much time is spent outdoors and that he has so many different experiences. The staff are fantastic here, friendly, helpful, happy, informative and honest.
In my experience, I have always found the management extremely professional, caring, honest and always trying to do the best for your child. Communication is very good.
Lockdown was extremely challenging and the nursery
did amazing under such difficult circumstances that have never been seen before! Even with all of the Covid restrictions, the team kept going throughout. I think this should be greatly applauded..sometimes we take things for granted. Great management, staff and nursery, well done all.

I am very happy with this nursery. My little boy enjoys it so much. He never cries when I leave him there and always very happy when I pick him up. Since he started nursery he became more independent. He feels comfortable with other people now which is very important so I can leave him with my friends
with no stress if needed.
All the girls at nursery are very nice and always happy to answer any question.

My daughter has been attending Circus for almost 2-years, starting when she was 11-months-old. She absolutely loves it there. Our daughter has been at Circus Day Nursery & Pre-school for just over three years and is into her last year with them before she goes to school. We have been so impressed by all of the rooms and all the staff who have cared for and taught her. She can’t wait to get into nursery each day and chats about
her day and friends when she gets home which to us is testament to how happy she is there. From starting to look around schools it’s evident how school ready she is and how much she is learning in pre-school. Circus really have set the bar high in terms of amazing staff, facilities and quality of care and teaching.

My little boy has been attending for almost a year now and I love how much he is progressing! When he first started we were mid pandemic and I was distraught at having to send him to a nursery. We picked Circus Day Nursery due to their procedure during the pandemic, their amazing spaces indoor and outdoor
for the children. I don't think I have ever seen an outdoor space like they have and it was so important to us as we have such a small garden. It's also made easy that I do not have to provide anything extra, just my little boy and a change of clothes. That in itself relieves so much stress.
I love the updates we receive on how he is doing and what he has been up to. I'm now going full time rather than part-time and I am excited for him starting full time as he is excited to go every morning and happy when he comes home.
The staff are fantastic, so helpful, kind and understanding.
I would wholeheartedly recommend this nursery.

This is at least my second review but felt it important to leave another one now. The past year has been extremely challenging for everyone but the girls at Circus Day Nursery & Pre-school Ltd have made it possible for my daughter to have a sense of normality through what has been an undeniably difficult
year for everyone. They put the children before their own well-being and have never faltered in the outstanding care they give them. Without Circus Day Nursery & Pre-school Ltd this year would have been harder and would have undoubtedly affected my daughters development. Yet she is thriving, happy and I strongly believe that Circus Day Nursery & Pre-school Ltd has played an enormous part in that. Thank you, we will be sad to leave you for school in August and she will miss you all terribly.

    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 119 number of registered child places is 23.8, which has been reached with 32 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
