Circus Day Nursery Ltd has been established with a focus on quality early years learning, taking pride in an atmosphere where children can thrive and feel motivated.

An extensive and beautiful garden and a flexible range of play resources allow for a flexible approach to key early years goals, as well as many additional enhanced activities, including Forest School. Each day is packed with a variety of learning and development activities, along with outdoor play.

An all-weather surface and canopy mean there is the opportunity for outdoor play, whatever the weather, with children enjoying the nature and growing sections, along with all the other sections in the garden.

As well as a skilled approach to education, the nursery also supports healthy eating, supporting each individual child's diet. The head chef has a wonderful array of beautiful recipes that the children love and thoroughly enjoy. The children also engage in cooking and baking sessions.

The setting has recently achieved the Millie's Mark Award, ensuring all staff are qualified in Pediatric First Aid, offering peace of mind and prestigious award the setting is proud and honoured to have achieved.

Funding & Fees

We charge an hourly private fee rate that is fully inclusive of food/snacks/drinks/nappies/formula, enhanced activities, and everything not included in the Government Funding. Funding is available for eligible 9-month-olds, 2-year-olds, and 3-4-year-olds; however, it does not cover everything included in the private fee, so we may have consumable charges that apply during funded hours (subject to terms and conditions). We offer government funding for 9-month-old children and can handle the administration and support for any required paperwork. Limited spaces are available, so please contact us to arrange your personal tour of our beautiful setting, which is listed as a "house of interest". We are a family-run business established in 1997, with a long-term, dedicated staff team with many years of experience in the Early Years, who share their passion for the Early Years. We pride ourselves on our wonderful staff team and heartfelt dedication to making a positive difference.

We are so pleased we chose Circus. They have been looking after my daughter for just over 2 years now and my son around 6 months. Everyone who works in the setting is so warm and welcoming and the kids love them all. They are very accommodating to each child’s needs and try as much as possible to take
into account parents wishes. I love that the children go outside every day (unless the weather is really awful) and have loads of space to explore in the big garden. I feel happy knowing that my children are being well looked after and having lots of fun when they are there. I would recommend Circus to anyone.

Our son attended Circus Day Nursery from 4 months to 4 years. Especially in the early days when leaving our tiny baby in the hands of others, the staff exceeded any expectations! They were so caring and full of enthusiasm and guided us through weaning and later potty training and towards the end phonics
and a fab end of year performance. Circus organised so many fun activities and offered so much variety and stimulation, we could not have asked for more.

Both my little girl and boy attended the Circus Day Nursery, starting as babies and leaving to go off to school. I could not have asked for a more happy, creative, stimulating and loving environment to leave my children in while my husband and I went off to work. The staff treat each child with so much
love and care and ensure that each day is full of fun and excitement with new experiences to stimulate learning. The Circus is truly a fabulous nursery which has enabled my children to be sociable, confident, and assured in all that they do. It has undoubtedly contributed to them flourishing.

This is a fantastic nursery. Not only are there lovely facilities, an amazing garden and freshly cooked meals, most importantly there is amazing staff! I can truly say that our little girl has formed a lasting bond with all of the people that have cared for her. They have been personal in their approach,

Circus Day Nursery & Pre-School have been amazing, with my first child who started at 10 months and is now at school and my second who leaves for school in Aug this year. The staff really care and there is a very low staff turnover which is good for the children and also good for me as a parent as it
shows me they love what they do and have a great team spirit and are happy in their work. This is demonstrated to me daily, they always have time to tell me how the day has been and are supportive when there have been any changes in my children's behaviour (as is par for the course!). My kids LOVE the staff, and if we see them out of the nursery setting they still run up for cuddles. They have been to see plays, gone to the park, literature festival. The learning reviews are great, you receive a full journal of their progress, my eldest was wonderfully prepared for school by them. From being an anxious mother dropping my little boy off at 10 months, it has been a wonderful journey. Best of all the kids love it!

We were really apprehensive about having to send our son to a nursery at 11 months old, but we fell in love with the setting as soon as we looked round - especially the outside space, and secret garden! Our son has now been at Circus Day Nursery for over a year and a half and absolutely loves it. He
looks forward to going in and seeing his friends every day - it was so hard for us to leave him in the care of others all day, but knowing he is with the team at Circus really makes it so much easier... and to say he enjoys his day is an understatement!

My son started nursery when he was only 6 months old and he settled soon very well. Since then he has developed in so many ways. He is now a confident and happy boy and I have to thank all the amazing staff at Circus Day Nursery for that.

Love staff at Circus day nursery. I was a bit apprehensive to send my son to any nursery (talk about new mum apprehensions) at 11 months but all the staff, including managers, made us feel very welcomed and helped settle not only my little one but helped us (parents) go through the transition smoothly.
Now, he has moved from baby suite to jugglers and he absolutely loves going to nursery. He talks about all the activities he does with his room staff and actually wants to go to nursery on Saturday and Sundays, who knew he would love being there so much. Now, his little sister will be joining him in nursery too and can’t wait for her to grow tremendously like her brother. I’m positive all the staff will make her fall in love with nursery too.

My son is 2 years old and had attended Circus since he was 9 months old. He goes for 2 days and loves it! The staff are all brilliant with him and he has formed such good relationships with all of his key workers that he has had so far. It is so much easier leaving him all day knowing he is being looked
after by people that seem to genuinely care for him and continue to help him progress. Thank you so much to all the staff there for making my son’s nursery days happy days.

My son started on the baby suite at Circus in May 2017 and it’s been amazing for him.


All the staff are wonderful and take such good care of the children and engage and support their development.


We have daily feedback and my son thoroughly enjoys his time at nursery. The garden is wonderful and

the food is freshly prepared on site.


I would highly recommend Circus.

We are delighted to have moved our son to Circus Day Nursery and now preschool! Our son absolutely loves it and they make him (and us by default), feel very special. Both my children attend Circus. The staff are kind, loving and very invested in the children.
They always go above and beyond and my children really look forward to going to nursery. They absolutely LOVE their time there. It keeps my mind at rest when at work, for which we are really grateful.

I looked at a number of different nurseries when choosing our daughter's care provider, however, Circus stood out and we are so pleased that we chose this nursery! We have been so happy with the care provided for our daughter by Circus and are really pleased that we have been able to secure places for
our two babies this year. Over the past 3 years at Circus, our daughter has developed wonderful relationships with not only the staff responsible for her immediate care but other members of staff and of course brilliant friendships with other children!
The nursery is fantastic at communicating any issues and works hard to involve parents as much as possible in their child’s learning. I am so happy leaving my child in the care of Circus and would have no hesitation in recommending them to friends.

My daughter started this nursery when she was 2 and a half years old she absolutely loved it. From day 1, the staff are wonderful and really put you at ease. The preschool are fantastic with phonics and writing, it set her up perfectly for school. My son started in January and he is getting on fantastically.
He has delayed speech and the staff are absolutely fantastic with him. Would 100% recommend this nursery. The food is fantastic too and the garden is amazing such a large space for the children to enjoy.

Sending my first child to nursery was a worry, wondering whether we had selected the right one. The Circus team couldn’t have made my son's first few years any nicer! The staff are great, the meals were healthy, the day trips were lovely and educational and most importantly, my son is very happy there
and can’t wait to get back in the mornings. The staff clearly love the children and the feeling is mutual. My son starts school this year and it’ll be sad to say goodbye to the Circus family.

Quite simply the best daycare in Cheltenham. Both my children age 2 and 3 attend and I have never felt anything but happy with every aspect of their care and the way I have been treated. Circus are a family and I don’t know what I’d do without them.
