Welcome to Bright Horizons Talbot Woods Day Nursery and Preschool. A purpose-built nursey set in the grounds of Wallisdown campus. Your child can explore four separate free flow gardens where they can learn how to grow vegetables and plants, and the Forest School sessions encourage a love of the outside world.

A highly-trained and experienced team of childcare professionals works closely with parents helping children to flourish and reach their full potential.

A balanced curriculum has been designed to support each child throughout their early learning journey, preparing them for their transition into school.

The nursery is committed to serving healthy, balanced and nutritious foods that provide each child with the energy they need for a busy day of play, learning and development. Menus are carefully planned and freshly prepared by the on-site chefs, in consultation with nutritionists.

The team would love to welcome you to Talbot Woods. The setting is located on the Ground Floor of Talbot House on Talbot Campus. From there, go through the main entrance and the courtyard to the nursery, passing through the double doors.

Having both children in this nursery, the care both kids have received has been brilliant. Both children love coming to nursery and have great relationships with key workers. We have especially exceptional care from three members of staff in particular. The cost can be difficult as I pay for two children,
four days a week, but knowing they are happy and well cared for does make it worth it. I think more opportunities for trips/walks outside nursery would be nice if I could change anything.

My daughter has been at Talbot since she was 9 months old, for three days a week and the whole experience has been excellent. From the staff, to the facilities, everything has been brilliant. Everyone always goes the extra mile to support us with new stages, such as the current potty training, which
has been a huge help! We are very pleased and my daughter loves it here! Thank you.

Our daughter took a couple of months to settle in and during that time staff were amazing at helping her to settle into nursery and now she loves her time here. Absolutely amazing nursery - our family in fact. My first one has been through all stages and now the second one is in the toddler's room (made transition from babies just recently). We truly love this incredible nursery and preschool for love, care, but also I feel like I trust the team - to me this
is the most important aspect when somebody else is looking after my child. From transition now I see that age developmental needs are considered and quite frankly my daughter is smiling and being so pumped to go back, is the best testimony. I want her to have a great time and that is what she does. I also see how much nursery loved on with times (I have the pleasure of actually witnessing it); so my love for tech and ability to record the journey of child, send me updates and all nuances around her development - love it. Last, it is people who make this nursery so amazing. People who love children and people who I can trust.

All of the staff at Bright Horizons are fantastic. The days are filled with fun, creative and educational activities. The food that is served is very varied and healthy. I would recommend this nursery to any new parent.

Our daughter started at Talbot Woods on 3/01/2023. It has been a massive adjustment for all of us, but the staff couldn't have been kinder and make such an effort to make her feel more settled. You can feel how much everyone cares and it's a very personable environment. We've been really touched by
all the little photos and descriptive updates on the app and the pictures and little cookie that she had made/decorated that we will treasure forever. Thank you to all.

Both of my children have now attended Talbot Woods and I would not dream of a better, more welcoming and perfect setting for them both. My daughter started at 9 months old back in 2021 and has now transitioned through three of the rooms within the day nursery. All of the staff show such care, consideration
and understanding to not only my child, but the whole family, they have been able to create such beautiful bonds with us all and really made such a difference in her growth and development. I would highly recommend Talbot Woods over and over.

Really good nursery, staff and flexibility. My son has been attending since Sept 2020. Although he was scared at first being a covid isolation baby and we could not do any settling-in sessions, he did well. The girls helped reassure me that the tears didn't last very long and he always seemed happy
on collection. Eventually, he got to know the staff and bonded with one of the staff members and then when moved up groups later with another member of staff. But even in their absence, he was happy to go on in. They now have an interactive app which allows me to see what he has been up to whilst there and also monitor his nappy/sleep patterns which was a huge help when we potty trained and it took him a week to go completely dry. You can also share pictures with the staff of birthdays and special occasions and keep up to date on his development and needs.

We are happy with the level of the care and support that our two-year-old child gets from the staff at the nursery. At the beginning, we were worried about his adaptation to the staff and to the new environment, since we (parents) are international students, who had limited understanding of the childcare
system in the UK. Nevertheless, with the help of the staff, our son bonded with the staff and happily goes to the nursery every morning. As a result, we gladly extended his time at the nursery from three half days, to five half days. Thank you very much for your care and support!

My 1-year-old son has been at the nursery since May and after a few tears the first few weeks, he now absolutely loves it. I get updated throughout the day with pictures and what he has been up to, which I look forward to seeing via the app. This helped me so much in the first few weeks when he was
upset and they were so quick at updating me and letting me know that he had settled and was happy and I was able to relax and get on with my work without worrying. His meals there are very nutritious and he seems to enjoy every meal. Everyone who works at the nursery are so friendly and welcoming and my son seems to have already bonded with his key worker and the other girls that work in his group. Myself and my son are very happy so far and I would recommend this nursery 100%.

We are very happy with the care our 17-month-old daughter gets from all the staff. Her keyworker is very attentive and we really value the bond they have. It is very reassuring to talk to the room leader/key worker on pick up and drop off. We love receiving updates throughout the day, particularly photos.
All the staff are very accommodating and as first time parents, to have our worries put to ease, means a lot. Seeing our daughter go into nursery happy, is the best feeling.

Since starting the nursery at 7 months old, my child has had the best care from the staff at this nursery. They have and still do, tend to her needs and keep me informed with any issues. My child is now 19 months old and has come on leaps and bounds. I couldn't fault this nursery in any way.

The nursery staff are all very welcoming and the management team are happy to assist you in any queries you have. Good communication from the girls in fireflies, who look after my daughter. They have sup[ported me and my daughter with her settling-in sessions and her first few days at nursery. Also,
the staff in bumblebees have helped my daughter settle into nursery.

I can only say positive things about Talbot Woods Day Nursery. My son enjoys every moment of his time there. He appears to love all the staff, and I must say that his key workers really do show a real desire to enhance his development and make sure he has the happiest experience possible. Communication
is also very good, particularly with the new app, and it's fantastic to get live updates and pictures during the day about what he has been up to!

The staff at Talbot Wood are so understanding and caring. They have really helped me and my family and supported us where they can. The level of education they have provided is really good and high. My child has come on leaps and bounds since attending this nursery preschool. All the staff are lovely

I started with Bright Horizons in Talbot Woods in 2018, and have worked in childcare since 2012. I gained my Early Years Teacher status in 2015, and have worked in nurseries as an Early Years Lead ever since. I have worked with every age group as a keyworker from 0-5 and gained experience in key stage one. In January 2021 I was appointed manager of Talbot Woods and I am excited to take on a new challenge, with a team I know and appreciate.
