Bright Horizons Talbot Woods Day Nursery and Preschool

My daughter loves attending Talbot Woods, she is always excited to go in and play and has made some lovely friendships there! She is always talking about the things she has been doing at nursery when we are at home, which makes me secure in the knowledge that she is settled and enjoying her time there. She loves all the staff in her room and she is always given a warm welcome. Thank you to everyone at Talbot Woods.

Recently I needed back up care on 2 occasions for my little one. The first time she went into ladybirds, who showed amazing care for my little one and I instantly felt at ease! The second time, I phoned in the morning and they were able to find space for my little girl, she was able to go into the caterpillar room and after a couple of tears, she settled comfortably in the garden! The girls in the room took really good care of her and after my initial worry, as she isn't used to lots of children she was okay! Thank you to the manager and both toddler rooms for taking great care of my little girl! Would definitely recommend Talbot Woods, not just for back up care but for placing your little one in a nursery on a regular basis, as the management team and the whole team are wonderful and friendly in all rooms!!

My child has attended Talbot Woods since 12months old she is now leaving to go to school. She has enjoyed her time there and has learnt so much. She's always had a good bond with each key person but would also talk about other staff members within her room. Every day she would tell me about different activities she had done etc. The hand overs are great with plenty of feedback about her day.

My granddaughter is extremely happy in the toddler room. Staff are friendly and the nursery is nicely decorated, lots of light, space and plenty of activities available all day. Plenty of healthy, nutritious food and well-planned meals available every day.

My daughter seems very happy in the Bumble Bee room with her key workers. She has settled in well, even though she's had the inevitable ill health that goes along with children entering daycare. The staff are genuinely friendly and seem concerned with my daughter's wellbeing. I feel assured that she is being looked after well whilst I'm at work.

My only concern is the amount of Quorn provided for her lunchtime meals because she is a Vegetarian. I would like to see more variety in her main meals.

I cannot recommend Talbot Woods Day Nursery and Nursery School highly enough. I feel relaxed leaving my child at the nursery. I do not feel worried at all and she thoroughly enjoys it. She is learning so much at the nursery and surprises me every day with what she has accomplished. The staff are amazing; when I collect my child they give me lots of detail about what she ate that day and what activities she enjoyed among anything else that has happened in the day.

My daughter goes to the pre-school and she loves going in to see her friends and the staff. My daughter knows all of the staff's names and talks about them at home. My daughter always comes home and tells me all about what she has done during the day and how much fun she has had. My daughter is always happy to go in and do her routine by finding her butterfly, placing it up on the wall and then going off to do an activity. This is a wonderful nursery, the staff are friendly, polite and have a good communication with each other. I think having the record of what they have for lunch is a brilliant idea as you can find out how much they have had and know what type of food they have eaten. I would recommend a friend to this nursery, tell them how amazing the place is for children, always following their interests and making them interests grow bigger. Thank you for being an amazing place for my daughter to grow into an independent child and helping her learn more each week.

My daughter attends the toddler room and absolutely loves it there. She is always happy to go into the room, and excited to see her keyworker and friends. I can't praise the staff in the Ladybird's room enough. They are always so warm and welcoming, and I can tell that the bond between my daughter and her keyworker is strong. It's not easy leaving your child to be cared for by someone else, but it's made so much better when you know your child can't wait to go each day.

The managers and staff are really accommodating and friendly with sorting out the hours of care I needed for my son. The room leaders and staff in the room my son was in were very helpful and my son was very happy with the time he spent at the nursery.

Talbot Woods made my children feel very welcome when they first joined. All the staff in pre-school took the time to get to know my son, particularly his key workers, joining him in all activities and comforting him when he was unsettled. It took a while for my daughter to settle in the baby room but most staff continued to make every effort to comfort, help and make her comfortable however some of the staff approach didn't suit my daughters personality.

This nursery is exceptional! We have 2 children at Talbot Woods and the level of care they receive is outstanding. Our oldest child is about to start school and, thanks to the nursery, we are confident he is more than ready for this transition. All staff are very friendly and forthcoming with information about the day activities, they make learning enjoyable and fun, which we believe is extremely important for young children. Our youngest child is rather "adventurous" and, being at the toddling stage, is prone to the odd bump or two and the nursery contact us immediately to report any incidents (however small). We are able to leave our children with total peace of mind that they are happy and very well looked after whilst in their care . We have already recommended this nursery to many of our friends and will continue to do so.

My daughter has been here for 18 months and I can't recommend this setting enough. She has made so much progress. She has additional needs and the nursery manager/SENCO has worked so hard to ensure her needs are met. It's worth every penny knowing that your child is safe and with competent staff.

Talbot Woods is very friendly and welcoming. The children are greeted warmly. The spaces are always bright and clean and well maintained especially since the whole Nursery was recently refurbished and redecorated. The staff are very professional and kind and they will go out of their way to help you and to address any concerns. Both my children have had a very positive experience. The key workers take time to form a bond with the children and really get to know them and to develop their particular interests.

From the top down this nursery is well run and all staff are dedicated to the needs of your children. Our son was there for nearly 4 years full time and developed into a confident, fun loving well socialised boy. Along the way his development was well documented and through regular meetings we were able to monitor and help him progress together until he started school.

My experience at Talbot Woods is very positive. I have been taking my son here for over a year now and he loves it. The staff at Talbot Woods are friendly and approachable. I feel very happy leaving my son in their care. He has turned into a very smart and confident little boy which the nursery has played a big part in. Would recommend this nursery to everyone and especially ones that are a bit unsure after returning to work because the staff here have made the transition for me much easier!

Genuinely could not recommend this nursery more.

I leave him with confidence and I am always greeted with a happy smile when I return.

Everyone at Talbot woods made me and my daughter feel welcome. The manager is very friendly & accommodating. My daughter has been attending for just over a year and loves going twice a week, made lots of friends and great relationships with the staff looking after her. They provide the children with lots of different activities which my daughter gets stuck into. My daughter is very happy there. Thank you :)

Talbot Woods is a safe, stimulating and happy environment for my child. I am very pleased with the exceptional care I receive and would recommend this nursery to anyone. The staff are fantastic and work above and beyond to make the nursery an outstanding environment for children. Management are extremely helpful and supportive and their door is always open for a chat :-)
