Kings Castle Montessori Nursery School

Lovely nursery my son has settled in very well, the staff are lovely and tell me about his day which he’s always doing different things every day. The outdoor space is great and he’s learnt so much since going and he’s only been there a short time.

I did not know any nurseries and I decided on this one and when I went to visit it, I liked it a lot and my son is very happy and we are the same. The attention of the teachers is excellent, thank you very much.

My husband and I always recommend Kings Castle to anyone looking for a nursery for their children.

My child is very happy at Kings Castle Montessori Nursery School. We have three children so have been to a fair few parent's evenings but I have to say Kings by far was the most comprehensive and detailed one, and showed how much they clearly understood and nurtured my child through his learning there. It is a wonderful nursery and a true Montessori nursery as well.

Kings Castle has been amazing at helping with the learning and development of our son and prior to this our daughter. All of the staff are thorough, professional and helpful and it amazes me how they remember all of the names and faces of not just the children but also the various family members that collect them! I am so pleased that we chose to send our children thereafter numerous recommendations from others!

The girls in the baby room are definitely one of the biggest parts of my little boy's nursery journey. He loves each of them so much, the care they show towards him and the way his face lights up when he sees them, is so special. He is so happy and content around them and has learnt so much already in a short space of time! His physical development, especially by being able to explore the ramp and step and window steps. He loves to climb!

Parent's evening was a joy and I came away one very proud mama. The room staff are amazing and they know my little one so well I am so happy that he is supported and nurtured.

I couldn't recommend this nursery enough; they have been nothing but fantastic. The nursery is led brilliantly by the manager and deputy, who take time to know and support all the children and parents.

We've been very pleased with this setting atmosphere and its surroundings, and of course, her teachers and key workers all very attentive and informative. Her confidence, speech and kind nature have come on leaps and bounds and she absolutely loves going and also visiting the lodge. She loves the food and eats very well with all the other children. I can't recommend this nursery enough I love their method of teaching through play and feel this has helped my daughter build her foundations to learn and grow.

Our little boy absolutely loves going to nursery at Kings Castle. He goes in happy every day and comes out even happier. He has grown so much in the three years that he has been going to Kings and we cannot thank the staff enough for helping him develop into a lovely little boy. The staff are also brilliant and engaging with him and us and we know he is in the best possible place, to prepare him for going to school next year. We are lucky that Kings Castle also offers him the ability to spend large amounts of time outdoors, which he loves. We are so happy he has gone there and will be very sad when he leaves for school.

Kings Castle is a fantastic nursery. The staff are extremely helpful and caring and really take time and nurture the children. The nursery has a good outside space and the facilities available to the children are varied with great practical learning as well and lots of fun. The lodge addition to the nursery has also provided another great asset which enables the children to connect more with nature and be able to explore. I have been very happy with Kings and would not hesitate to recommend them. Thank you.

We are so happy with the nursery, and already have our daughter on the list to attend. We feel very lucky to have found such a brilliant nursery experience for our children and would absolutely recommend Kings Castle.

Kings Castle Montessori is such a wonderful nursery. Our child has absolutely loved attending each day, and as we come to the end of the nursery journey, we will truly miss the place. The staff are outstanding; they have formed lasting bonds with our child and have really made a substantial impact on our child's learning. She has flourished under their tuition. The setting is fun, nurturing and encourages independence. The nursery has great facilities, with a lovely outdoor space and lots of interesting activities inside. The staff have spent a lot of time with our child, working on a range of skills, and it has made a big difference. The new lodge facility is also great and is the highlight of our child's week. She loves the time outdoors, going on walks, exploring and learning about nature. I cannot rate the nursery highly enough, and if any of the staff read this review - thank you again for everything!

All 3 of my children went through the school and got an amazing educational and social skills start. Lovely, considerate staff. I can't recommend this nursery enough!

Both of our children have gone through Kings Castle Montessori Nursery and both have loved it there. Even when we moved to the other side of Christchurch we kept our youngest (now 4) at Kings because we think that the Montessori learning environment is ideal prep for developing curious, independent life-long learners who can think for themselves. The staff are nurturing, patient and really easy to communicate with. But don't take my word for it. Our six year old came to a pick-up last week and when we pulled up to the entrance he asked me 'Dad, could I go back there next week?!' When our youngest starts school this September I can honestly say: I will miss the place.

Kings Castle Montessori Nursery is a wonderful place where my son grows and learns essential life skills happily. Montessori methods and techniques are present in every area of the children's development and prove the success of the system. There’s always huge support for me as a parent in everything I’ve ever needed.

I believe nursery has helped develop my son to be more independent and confident. All the staff there are all smiley and happy. Always happy to answer my queries. The Covid procedures and measures they implemented filled me with confidence. The app is such a useful tool, we get regular updates on it. I am so glad we found Kings Castle and my child has attended since he was one and he is attending school this September. My son is ready for school due to all the good work he has been taught at Kings Castle. One of the best decisions we made was picking this nursery for our son. Highly recommend.

As a mum, I have always had a very sincere and positive experience at Kings Castle. My son has made some wonderful relationships with his key workers, has really developed in his learning and is genuinely always happy to go. The staff at Kings are also doing a great job in preparing my son for school in September, the new nature cabin is also a new highlight to his learning. I cannot recommend Kings Castle enough.
