Kiddi Caru Day Nursery and Preschool in Torquay is a spacious, purpose-built setting rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted (July 2024). Located near the Willows Retail Park, the nursery provides easy access, on-site parking, and a calm, nurturing environment.

This is an excellent nursery. From the first visit, we thought this was a great place. Lovely conditions and the staff is very caring. It's not easy to leave your children with someone but knowing that they are well looked after and stimulated and having fun it's so reassuring.

Amazing. Have been sending my 3 children to Kiddi Caru Day Nursery Torquay over the last 7 years and have nothing but praise for every moment. On leaving they have been ahead of expected standards on entering reception class. Would not hesitate to recommend them.

After doing lots of research I decided Kiddi Caru Day Nursery Torquay was the only place I wanted my children to go. It outshines in my option all other local nurseries, leaving your children is hard but I feel safe in the knowledge that they are there, safe and happy.

Have used for both children, they have really loved their time there, the staff are wonderful, the facilities modern and bright, lots of extra activities such as yoga, baking, French, sing and sign. Also great outdoor space. I can't praise it enough.

I can not recommend this nursery enough. Every mother struggles to let their child go into the hands of strangers but I have never felt more relaxed and comfortable. Every mother always thinks their needs and requirements are most important - whereas everyone’s are just as important and they have catered
to every need or want I have ever put on them and for that I thank them.

The nursery is very well run with a great bunch of staff that work really well together. There are many staff in particular that go beyond their duties daily and do it because they care.
My son is due to go to school in September and feel that they have helped him massively become the confident and
sociable little boy he is. Being that he is an August child, my concerns about him being the youngest have gone completely thanks to the staff that have helped him through his milestones.
Can't even think of a nursery nearby that I would recommend better really!
My son will definitely miss it there in September!

My children have been attending Kiddi Caru since 8 months old and they are now getting ready to leave to start school. I couldn’t recommend the nursery enough they have been brilliant. The children love the staff it is a very friendly and inviting nursery. The education they have received to get them
ready for school has helped massively as they are all above where they should be on the development scale this is all due to the effort of the staff

Fantastic nursery. Attentive, caring staff, facilities always spotless, a massive garden which is kept so well maintained! I wouldn't send my son anywhere else. Each day my son comes home happy and I know he has been well cared for. Lovely variety of healthy meals provided, parking just outside the

Fantastic all round nursery, our son is extremely happy and loves to go in every day. There are great opportunities for learning and development and he has come on leaps and bounds since starting there. The staff are friendly and welcoming and are genuinely pleased to answer questions, great and say
goodbye to us. The classrooms are well designed, light and airy with lots of different activities laid out for when we arrive.


The outside area is fantastic and the children are well supervised while exploring and developing their skills. There are lots of things to develop fine and gross motor skills and preparing them for later schooling. We are so happy with everything here and how the staff have dealt with all aspects of our sons learning, development, care and interacting with him.

My son has been doing very well since going to Kiddi Caru but I feel there has been a few issues that I have not been happy with and the nursery needs to work on getting these correct.


Also basing this on recent weather conditions where all schools locally have closed but Kiddi Caru have been advised

to stay open which I feel is bad. They don’t expect primary or secondary schools to open but expect toddlers and babies to make their way in even though weather reports say stay in doors and then charge us still for it.

The nursery meets most of my expectations and I believe it is one of the best nurseries around. All the members of staff that I know are caring people and very friendly, my daughter likes them which says a lot. I do think however they could improve on cleanliness (toilets, toys) and maybe invest some
money in new toys, equipment etc.

We have been going to Kiddi Caru with our daughter since 2012 and our son is now there full time. Both children have been very happy there, we've never had a problem with them wanting to attend and they are clearly loved and looked after. The activities provided are great, my daughter learnt to say
all her colours in French before she was 4, all down to Kiddi Caru. She has settled into primary school very well and I am sure in part this is due to a good grounding at the nursery. Our son asks to go on a weekend! Highly recommended.

Both my children have attended kiddi Caru and I have always been very happy with the standard of care and how happy my children are there.


I have recommended it several times and close friends and family who also use this nursery.


More feedback about activities is the only thing I would like more

of. Something like tapestry they use in primary school (photos and description of learning) would be good.

In general, I'm pleased with the way the nursery runs and the staff members.
My son likes going and I'm quite OK with the hygiene in the setting as well as the food.
There's always room for improvement but overall the most recommended in the local area.
Some of the staff members represent an outstanding
approach to kids and parents as well as in general a very friendly environment.

The staff at Kiddi Caru are amazing. My son loves coming here, he has a fabulous relationship with his key worker and really likes all of the staff. They're very knowledgeable and professional. I feel like they really care about my son and the day he's having.
