They have areas for growing food ( and eating it), regular visits to local care homes and care for each other and the world. Their ParentZone app keeps parents/carers informed about their little ones at nursery with photos from their day, meals eaten and even toilet training progress!
They are big on safety and that's why ALL their staff are paediatric first aid trained. They have 5 Little Pioneers who help share their core values with the children, from encouraging them to be independent to making a difference in the world.
They hold the silver award in the green flag eco schools programme which sees children lead the way in making a little changes that deliver big environmental differences.
At Co-op Childcare Littlehampton they like to learn through play with regular Forest School inspired activities where they encourage all of their children to explore outdoors as part of their development.

About this price
How funding is applied, how the monthly figure is calculated.More info
- Working parents of children aged 9 months to 2 years can usually claim up to 30 funded hours a week. The working-parent hours depend on each parent meeting the minimum earnings rules and earning under £100,000 a year. This nursery stretches funded hours across 52 weeks of the year. You've selected 30 funded hours.
- This nursery applies up to 10 funded hours per day, stretched across 52 weeks of the year. With your selected funding, 21.9 hours are covered each week. Hours beyond this, including the early and late parts of the day, are charged at the standard rate.
- We work out the total cost across the year and divide by 12, so the figure shown is a smoothed monthly average. In practice, nurseries bill in different ways. Some bill monthly at this average. Others bill weekly, or charge for what happened that week or month, which can vary across the year. Confirm billing details with the nursery when you enquire.

I have been really impressed with the nursery and the caring team at the Co-Op Littlehampton. This is the first time I've put a baby into a nursery and the staff have been wonderfully friendly and supportive to both myself and our son. He is settling in after only a few weeks and gets on really well with his key worker who I have found to be very knowledgeable, caring and understanding of him as an individual. Our son is already coming home showing new learning and I would highly recommend this nursery to other parents.

I do not agree with the automated messages regarding payments. I have an anxiety disorder and recently received an email stating that my son was not welcome at the nursery until our outstanding payments were sorted. We had nothing outstanding and the money being referred to was a refund issued after they deducted money from my bank when we pay vouchers.
In that same week, my son soiled himself and had his favourite boxers binned and we were not informed. This set us back with our potty training as he thought he was being punished for having diarrhoea. The staff at the nursery are lovely and as much as I would love to see work, paintings, pictures come home, I can't fault for how much my son loves going. As a business, however, it lacks the personal touch in regards to the parents and families. Given my condition, I don't appreciate automated and incorrect emails.
I would recommend this Nursery to anyone.
The staff really get to know the children as individuals and treat them as such. They know the children in their care really well and so notice very quickly if they aren't happy or something is worrying them.

Activities are varied and tailored to children's interests and needs. Children are given the freedom to explore and develop their skills/independence, but with appropriate supervision and support when needed. The balance of play and structured activities in preschool prepares children for their next steps into school, while still allowing plenty of opportunities to be children and enjoy themselves!
The food is of high quality and super yummy!

Our son has been attending this nursery since he was 12 weeks old. At all times we have felt safe and confident of the care he is receiving. The daily feedback sheets, regular email and facebook communication plus parent forums and parent meetings mean we are kept completely up to date with his progress. The wide variety of educational development activities and great resources available mean he has experienced much more than we could have provided at home. He enjoys being at nursery, loves the staff, knows most of them by name now and they know him very well. We would thoroughly recommend the nursery to others.

They have a good variety of activities (fun and developmental) and a large garden with lots of things to do outside. The staff are caring and fun and support the children (and parents!) when they move up to the other rooms.
They also organise lots of events during the year (charity events, sports day, Christmas and Easter fayres) which are great to get involved with.
I am happy we chose this nursery.
A rocky start with our first and only child, however, we understand that teething problems can occur. Many changes have taken place and some as a direct result of our feedback which is good. Hopeful that the next few months are good ones.

Outstanding members of staff, always friendly and welcoming. My daughter loves this nursery and always comes home happy, fed and tired. What more could a parent ask for from a nursery, thank you, everyone.

My child attended this nursery from 10 months of age until he started school last year. I was very happy with the level of care and attentiveness throughout this time and my child enjoyed attending this nursery. The outside space is fully utilised and is an exceptional benefit to this nursery.

My little one is extremely excited each week when he knows it is nursery day, which in itself speaks volumes. The nursery as a whole is brilliant when it comes to catering for dietary requirements and ensuring no one is excluded from activities regardless of their beliefs. I don't feel I get a lot of feedback about what my son has done while he was there or if he achieved anything new, which is a shame as due to this I can't really rate the nursery for the activities they offer because I don't really know. Apart from that, it's a lovely place, my son has always been very happy there and has certainly progressed a lot since joining. I would recommend them.
We have been attending for 3 years and we've always had brilliant key workers and room staff. One main plus is the hot food and varied menu.

We are generally very happy with the nursery. The staff and care appear to be very good and both of our children are happy and seem to be well taught and supervised. The gardens could do with a little investment but this is not the fault of the staff and maybe some more investment from head office as I feel the fees warrant this. The payment system has caused a few frustrations but immediately resolved by the senior staff at the nursery. Very happy with our children's care, education and well-being.
Great nursery, my son loves it! I do find it a lot of money but you do get what you pay for. The staff are lovely and the menu looks amazing. The outside parking is a bit of a nightmare but not the Nursery's fault, not everyone parks straight.

Fantastic nursery with the most wonderful, caring staff. It feels like a drop my little girl off each day with family. This nursery has first class facilities and a fun atmosphere with lots of varied activities. Highly recommend.
