Bluebell Barn Children's Nursery offers a secure and stimulating setting where children can enjoy a fun approach to early years learning, while parents can feel confident that staff are qualified in safeguarding each child's well-being.

The nursery has big airy rooms where your child will learn and have fun. It looks over fields and woods and has a large enclosed garden in which children can explore and enjoy a variety of activities.

The nursery is ideally located for busy local parents, close to main commuter routes and welcoming both full and part-time needs.

Parents are supported in getting involved as much as possible and staff offer a regular opportunity for discussion and feedback.

Funding & Fees

  • 2025 FEES FOR FULL DAYCARE NON-FUNDED:


    Children aged 0 – 5 years: Week full £340.00 per week / Full Day (8 am –6 pm) £76.00 per day / Session morning (8 am-1 pm) £49.00 per session / Session afternoon (1 pm-6 pm) £49.00 per session.

  • Parents can book their child in to attend from 7:30am and up to 6:30pm. These are charged at £8.00 per half hour or part half hour.
    Terms of Payment (please see our Terms and Conditions).
    A non-refundable fee of £25 is payable on registration, along with an £80 refundable deposit for securing a place.
    Fees are charged on a monthly basis.
    Fees are payable monthly in advance, by standing order or BACS by the last day of the preceding month or by cheque by the 24th of the preceding month. The nursery closes at 1 pm Christmas Eve, for the period between Christmas and New Year and on bank holidays. No charge is made during scheduled nursery closures.

My child has had some troubles settling in even though he has been going to Bluebell Barn for some time, the staff have been amazing. Always there to comfort him. The staff have also been amazing with my son when he had some troubles healthwise recently. They took the time to comfort him and help him,
I couldn't fault them. The staff have been a great support to my son and myself, I'm so happy with the nursery.

Myself and my husband are extremely happy with Bluebell Barn. Our son started there at 10.5 months old and he's now nearly 4. Our son is really happy there and loves all the staff. The staff are so friendly and caring. They always give lots of cuddles and make nursery fun. The office staff are also
so helpful and friendly. We would definitely recommend Bluebell Barn to friends, we already have!

My son is extremely happy at Bluebell Barn. He is always being given a wide range of activities which help all areas of his development (this also means I don't have to worry about doing so much messy craft at home!). The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and really seem to know him. There are frequent
observations uploaded to his eyLog which mean I can see what he's been doing. He always eats all the food provided so I assume it is good!

All 3 of my grandchildren have attended Bluebell Barn and Bluebell Hill Nurseries. The quality of care they have received has been excellent. They have also made great progress in all areas of development particularly in personal social and emotional development and speech language and communication.
The staff are professional caring warm friendly and lots of fun. Currently, I sometimes have to wait for my 3-year-old grandson to end his game even with the promise of Drusilla's swimming etc. Comments are made such as " Be with you in a minute Grandma" Last time I collected him they had made a car wash to clean the sit in cars. A group of at least 6 children involved in the game having such fun.

My son loves coming to nursery. The carers spend a lot of time getting to know the children and therefore I feel 100% confident with their ability to care for my son. They always have loads of fun activities going on for the children. The food is great in which my son eats a varied diet.

Overall I am very happy with the nursery and care from the main team of girls/carers, not so sure of relief staff, feel some are unsure and not very confident. My son seems very happy and is always willing to come in.

My daughter has been attending nursery since April 2014. She loves going in, they have a wide variety of activities constantly and a beautiful outdoors area. She adores the girls that work there, you can tell they love the children and make special bonds with them. The nursery is also very flexible
with children's routines and adapted to my daughter's food allergy well.

Both my children have attended Bluebell Barn and both equally enjoyed. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Surroundings are lovely - free flow in particular. I have always been very happy with the nursery as a whole. Children like attending - sometimes don't want to leave.

A lovely nursery in a beautiful setting, overlooking fields and animals. First used the nursery from 2011 for my first son and it was the obvious choice to use for my second son. The children take part in a great selection of activities and are looked after by lovely staff. I have found the nursery
to be a great headstart to the children's learning and is a brilliant way to prepare for school.

Elle is our amazing Nursery Manager at Bluebell Barn. She started with Bluebell nurseries in September 2013 where she began as an apprentice, Elle worked super hard and achieved her level 3 qualification. In her exciting 7 years of working at Bluebell Barn, she has had the privilege of working across all 3 rooms with all ages between 0-5 years.


Elle has a wonderfully calm professional and bubbly personality that makes her the perfect Nursery teacher and leader.


Having recently been promoted and taken on the role of Nursery Manager, Elle continues her journey of awe and wonder at Bluebell Barn nursery

Hi, I'm Abi. I have worked at Bluebell Barn for almost 5 years now, after completing my Bachelor's degree in 'early childhood studies,' where I gained experience and knowledge in the early years sector. Bluebell Barn has been an amazing place to practice my skills and continue my professional development through my career progression.


I am so pleased to have made wonderful relationships with the staff and the lovely parents and families.


My favourite part of working with children is helping the new children and their families settle into the setting, watching them reach their next steps, and providing a safe, fun, and happy place to grow!
