Bluebell Barn Children's Nursery offers a secure and stimulating setting where children can enjoy a fun approach to early years learning, while parents can feel confident that staff are qualified in safeguarding each child's well-being.

The nursery has big airy rooms where your child will learn and have fun. It looks over fields and woods and has a large enclosed garden in which children can explore and enjoy a variety of activities.

The nursery is ideally located for busy local parents, close to main commuter routes and welcoming both full and part-time needs.

Parents are supported in getting involved as much as possible and staff offer a regular opportunity for discussion and feedback.

  • 2025 FEES FOR FULL DAYCARE NON-FUNDED:


    Children aged 0 – 5 years: Week full £340.00 per week / Full Day (8 am –6 pm) £76.00 per day / Session morning (8 am-1 pm) £49.00 per session / Session afternoon (1 pm-6 pm) £49.00 per session.

  • Parents can book their child in to attend from 7:30am and up to 6:30pm. These are charged at £8.00 per half hour or part half hour.
    Terms of Payment (please see our Terms and Conditions).
    A non-refundable fee of £25 is payable on registration, along with an £80 refundable deposit for securing a place.
    Fees are charged on a monthly basis.
    Fees are payable monthly in advance, by standing order or BACS by the last day of the preceding month or by cheque by the 24th of the preceding month. The nursery closes at 1 pm Christmas Eve, for the period between Christmas and New Year and on bank holidays. No charge is made during scheduled nursery closures.

Bluebell Barn staff have been fantastic at helping my little girl transition into nursery. She was born amidst the lockdown and therefore was extremely anxious about any new situations due to the lack of emotional and social opportunities in her early months of life - the staff at Bluebell Barn have
been just amazing, everything has been at my little girl's comfortable pace and she absolutely loves attending the setting. The staff keep me up to date throughout the day on the app so I can see what my daughter has eaten and what she is up to if there’s an accident then there’s a form that is sent so I am aware of any incidents almost immediately. The staff go over and beyond to ensure the safety and happiness of the children.

My son loves going to nursery, which makes it so much easier to drop him off and leave him there for a few hours. I know he is well taken care of and receive updates throughout the day on the app. Whenever I have any queries, I email and get a quick response back. The staff are always friendly and my
son seems to like them as he always has a smile on his face when I drop him off and pick him up.

My son has been going here for nearly 2 years and he really enjoys it. The staff are welcoming and always update you with what your child is doing whilst at nursery. I couldn't fault them. My child has developed a lot since being at the nursery!

Our daughter has thrived during her time so far at Bluebell Barn. She started in September and has become familiar and comfortable around all the staff in Blueberries.
We feel she has been highly supported with her development and it is evident when we collect her that she’s had a lovely time there.
Staff
have always been supportive and have given us the confidence that our daughter is in the best care when we are at work, giving us peace of mind.
We sing the praises of Bluebell Barn to all our family and friends and would recommend the nursery to anyone looking - we have one friend who has already booked their son in.

Our daughter is starting school in September and I can’t truly express what a wonderful time she has had at Bluebell Barn and how well it has prepared her for school.


She has blossomed since joining the nursery, always coming home excited to show us the arts and crafts made during the day and to

tell us all about how they’ve grown plants and what she’s learnt about the world around her. She’s been thoroughly entertained and playfully challenged during her time with her wonderful team of teachers and carers and has made so many friends.


As parents, we have experienced excellent communication with both her teachers and the management team; we feel our daughter's experience at Bluebell Barn has been faultless.


Although we’re excited for our daughter to start her new chapter at school, we will be desperately sad to say goodbye to this team who have looked after us almost as much as our little girl.


Thank you for everything you have done for us, we’ll miss you all so very much.

My daughter has been at Bluebell Barn Children's Nursery since she was 1 and is just about to start her next step up to Primary School and we can’t recommend it highly enough. She has always been well cared for and looked after. She’s quite a shy and sensitive child when away from home and all the staff
have been fantastic at building positive relationships with her and us and she is starting to show a more confident side. Their hard work has really prepared her for her next step. You really feel that the staff know your child and to me that’s the most important thing.
As a working family we also love that there’s nothing to worry about, nappies, sun cream, food is all provided and it’s just one less thing to worry about in the mornings!
Our son will start in September and we’re sure that he will have just as brilliant an experience here too. Thank you all.

Bluebell Barn Children's Nursery has been amazing for our daughter. She found it difficult to settle at first due to only attending once a week. This was hard on us all, but the staff went out of their way to help her and make her feel comfortable, offering her extra settle in time. The regular communication
from her keyworker has really reassured me as a nervous parent and the vibe is extremely friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. Staff really go out of their way to build positive relationships with parents via the app during the day and a nice debrief of your child’s day on pick up! Our now 16 month old daughter confidently goes into nursery with just a “ta ta” to mummy and daddy. This is due to the time, patience and empathy the staff in Bluebell Barn have all shown her! Such a fantastic nursery! All the staff are amazing, so patient, kind and understanding. Both my children love going, always feel happy and safe and always have the best time! My daughter started at 9 months and we both had a bit of separation anxiety as we'd never really been apart but she settled
so quickly and the staff were amazing! Now have a 3 1/2-year-old and an 18-month-old who both absolutely love going and always come out happy after having a great day!

My little boy has been going to Bluebell Barn Children's Nursery for about 6 months now, and absolutely loves it, never had any tears at the door (so far!). The staff have all been so lovely and know him and us well even with him only going one day a week. The facilities are great, especially the garden!
Love the fact we had a parent's evening, which helps us to feel very involved!

My son has attended Bluebell Barn from the age of two and has developed and grown so much since being there!
My son was very much an emotional child when he first started at the nursery, but the staff were very quick to give him a cuddle and make him feel safe and welcomed - they were also always so
understanding and welcomed our constant phone calls for our own reassurance!
It’s so lovely having constant updates and photos and reports back via the app - the photos of what he’s been up to throughout his day and his happy little face is great to see.
My son is fed so well when he is at nursery, almost definitely better than he is when at home - the variety and foods they offer the children have improved my son's willingness to try new foods and have encouraged him to eat better at home.
Honestly, Bluebell Barn has been a Godsend - I don’t have to worry about organising anything as they do it all!
Would 100% recommend.

We have had two children go through this wonderful nursery and couldn’t be happier with the care they have both had.
The staff are positive, inclusive, imaginative, and genuinely care about the children they interact with each and every day.
The management is approachable and friendly and runs the
nursery very collaboratively with parents to make sure decisions are open and well informed.
The facilities are peaceful and we love the feeling of being amongst the wildlife, despite its urban placement. So much time and money have been put into redecorating recently and into developing new toys and outdoor apparatus to support the children's development.
The food they have is balanced and varied and I would happily eat their menu every day too if I could!
My youngest is now in his last year and skips happily in every day and always leaves with a big smile on his face - I couldn’t ask for any more.

Absolutely fantastic nursery couldn't recommend more highly. Staff are so caring and attentive and you can see they enjoy and have a passion working with children.

My eldest two children went to Bluebell Barn some years ago and there was never any doubt that my youngest would attend from this year as well. As a mother, it is a somewhat daunting experience finding a nursery to care for your child. We had several local visits booked to scope out the best place for our Daughter. I loved Bluebell Barn so much on our first visit and with my Daughter's first taster session, that I cancelled all other nursery
viewings. I had no doubt this is the place and the people I wanted to care for my child. I have been 100% happy ever since she has started. The staff are so friendly and efficient. They update and communicate with us when needed to and consistently update the parent portal so we can see all the activities she gets up to during the day. Would 100% recommend Bluebell Barn to anyone.

Our daughter now two and a half has attended Bluebell Barn Children's Nursery since she was eleven months old and has literally loved every day of it. I found all the staff so welcoming in the beginning, which really made me feel at ease during what can be such a stressful time. I found them all very
approachable, especially her key worker at the time and also another member of staff. I also felt very supported by the management too, especially one of them. Now that my daughter has moved up to Tigers, I can't thank all the staff enough for all their kindness and creativity that they bring to her experience at nursery. Five members of staff to name a few are absolutely brilliant. I am so proud of how far my daughter has come, and it is largely thanks to you all. The activities and equipment available to the kids are absolutely brilliant and are always maintained and updated regularly. So I would definitely recommend this place as a top class nursery.

My daughter has been at Bluebell since she was 8 months old and I couldn't recommend it highly enough. The team looking after her are so friendly and welcoming and she is always itching to get in there in the mornings. I've never had any worries about leaving her. She's always taking part in lots of
activities and being at nursery has really helped develop a set routine for her. She is always so happy and content when I collect her after a full day and they always take the time to talk you through her day.

Our son joined the baby room at Bluebell Barn Children's Nursery in September at just 11 months old. We could not be happier with how well he has settled in. He only attends two days a week but he absolutely loves it. He squeals with excitement when we arrive at nursery with him and he comes out at
the end of the day with the biggest smile on his face.
Starting during the pandemic has meant we’ve not got to see him in action as much as we’d like but it’s nice to have received a few photos and a video and the staff are always lovely when we hand him over or collect him. It is clear that they know his personality so well already and we feel that he is in safe hands.
We are so so pleased that we picked Bluebell Barn for him, it was the perfect choice.

Elle is our amazing Nursery Manager at Bluebell Barn. She started with Bluebell nurseries in September 2013 where she began as an apprentice, Elle worked super hard and achieved her level 3 qualification. In her exciting 7 years of working at Bluebell Barn, she has had the privilege of working across all 3 rooms with all ages between 0-5 years.


Elle has a wonderfully calm professional and bubbly personality that makes her the perfect Nursery teacher and leader.


Having recently been promoted and taken on the role of Nursery Manager, Elle continues her journey of awe and wonder at Bluebell Barn nursery

Hi, I'm Abi. I have worked at Bluebell Barn for almost 5 years now, after completing my Bachelor's degree in 'early childhood studies,' where I gained experience and knowledge in the early years sector. Bluebell Barn has been an amazing place to practice my skills and continue my professional development through my career progression.


I am so pleased to have made wonderful relationships with the staff and the lovely parents and families.


My favourite part of working with children is helping the new children and their families settle into the setting, watching them reach their next steps, and providing a safe, fun, and happy place to grow!


In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, doing yoga and reading.

Harriet is our fantastic Operations Manager. Harriet has over 16 years of experience working in the Early Years. Harriet joined the Bluebell family as the Nursery Manager of Bluebell Wood and now as the Operations Manager, Harriet oversees the running of all three of our fabulous nurseries.
