Rainbow Day Nursery & Pre-School provides an exceptional environment and a wonderful quality of care and development for babies and young children from three months up to five years of age. It is their aim to ensure that children 'graduate' to Big School having grown into confident, caring, independent people who are prepared in every way for the next stage of life's learning journey.

Rainbow children enjoy five acres of gardens including nine well-equipped, enclosed, all-weather playgrounds, their own animal sanctuary, galleon, Teletubby hill, allotments, and a children's maze. They also have a double-decker bus, a farm classroom and Forest School sessions are run everyday whatever the weather.

A highly qualified team of staff draw upon a huge range of knowledge, experience and resources to ensure that the children get the maximum learning and development out of enjoying themselves, playing and having fun.

Visit them to see how they can satisfy your childcare needs.

We came for the excellent outdoor facilities, but to be honest it's the care and attention that each staff member gives our child that makes the difference. The staff clearly love to be there and that joy comes out in the way they interact with you child. They keep us well informed and are very sensitive
to the concerns of parents.

My daughter absolutely loves Rainbow. I usually have to drag her out when it's time to go home-she's always asking to stay longer! The staff are genuinely lovely and professional, and the setting is incredible. They have amazing outdoor grounds with animals, a maze, forest school, a red bus and so much
more.
The food and nutrition are also excellent, with fresh, healthy meals made daily. I 100% recommend Rainbow, and my son will be joining in a few months as well.

I have two children who attend or have attended Rainbow Nursery, and I cannot fault the care they receive. The staff are amazing, and both the indoor and outdoor facilities are second to none.
My eldest started when she was around three years old. She was very shy, but her confidence grew so much during
her time there, which really prepared her for starting reception.
My youngest started at one year old, and she is now the most confident, happy child.
Both of my children have learnt so much at Rainbow Nursery. There is a structured curriculum, and the activities always combine play and learning in creative, engaging ways. Every time I pick them up, they are happy and smiling. I used to ask my eldest, "What was your best part of the day?" and she would always answer, "Everything!"

Our son is in babies with his key carer Sammy who is so lovely and attentive! She and the rest of the team in babies are so caring and made me feel so at ease leaving our son for the first time as I know he's under the best care!

I have my middle child in Discoverers with keycarer Lauren, she has been a star with him. I know the 2 years old phase is hard-work so I appreciate her patience with his progress. Three steps forwards and two steps back, but Lauren is always on his side and believe in him! My oldest goes to Voyagers
and he loves his keycarer Maddy! So do we! He is developing so many math and writing skills every week, he loves it and the encouragement is fantastic by Maddy. My boy cannot wait to start school in September, and Rainbow will make him more than ready for that. Both my boys love it and my baby boy will start in April! On top of the fantastic staff, their facilities are fantastic, not least their garden, animals, gardening and forest school! Thank you!

My 13 year old attended Rainbow Nursery, and now my three year old goes there too. It is, without doubt, the best nursery in the Surrey area. The setting is on a large estate with plenty of outdoor space for the children to explore. There's even a small farm with a variety of animals, which the kids
absolutely love.
The staff are exceptional; caring, attentive, and genuinely committed to each child's development. For convenience, we briefly moved our daughter to a standard nursery, and unfortunately it set her back a little. Rainbow Nursery have helped reverse most of that, and she's now thriving and loving every moment. I would recommend with zero hesitation. Infact, I often do.

Our daughter attended Rainbows from 9months old and she is only leaving due to us moving out of the area. We have had a wonderful experience at Rainbows from Babies Room up to Discovers. She skips off out of my arms everyday, the carers are very devoted and have great connections with the children.
I particularly like that the children spend a lot of time outside and there are many different areas to explore. The meals are varied and my daughter will often eat meals at nursery she won't even try at home. We are very sad to be leaving Rainbows, we had our names down before our daughter was even born because we'd had such good recommendations from friends.

Choosing this nursery for my son was without doubt the best decision I could have made for his early years. From the very beginning, the warmth and professionalism of the staff gave me total confidence. Every teacher and carer in each class has been exceptional - patient, attentive, and always willing
to go the extra mile to support the children's needs and development. The facilities here are outstanding, far beyond what I expected. Everything is designed with the children's well-being and growth in mind, from safe and engaging play areas to stimulating learning spaces. It is clear that a huge amount of thought has gone into creating an environment where children can thrive, feel secure, and enjoy coming in each day. What has impressed me most is the way this nursery has helped to mould my son's personality and character. He has become more confident, independent, and curious, with a genuine love for learning and exploring.

My daughter has recently finished at Rainbows and I highly recommend this nursery to anyone who has an opportunity to go. My daughter absolutely flourished at Rainbows, especially her year in Voyagers 1. The Nursery Team are all amazing. The grounds are fantastic there are so many things for the kids
to do all day, the staff try to keep the kids outside as much as possible. There is a farm, tree climbing lessons, forest school, allotments, a maze, telly tubby hills, a bus for yoga; it is endless. The fees are no doubt higher than other places but it is definitely worth the money. On every drop off and pick up you are greeted with big smiles from real people. We will all miss Rainbows very much!

What a wonderful nursery. Our little one has just 'graduated' after spending three years at Rainbow. The facilities are fantastic, they have so much outdoor space to play, learn and develop and the animals are the icing on the cake!

Every week our little one would come home and demonstrate something

new he's learnt or understood from the excellent structured learning they offer at Rainbow.

He's leaving Rainbow fully ready for school in September and we're eternally grateful for the wonderful team in the Voyagers 1 room along with all the staff we've interacted with over the years.

Stop searching for nurseries, this is the one you should be applying for.

A dream of a nursery with huge grounds and animals for the children to see and learn about.
Both my daughters have gone here starting from 2019 and most of the staff have been wonderful.
They listen to feedback and made sweeping changes.
Our vegetarian daughter was given a lot of processed meat
substitute's early on and when we raised this they were quick to change the menus to more whole foods.
Highly recommend this Nursery.

Rainbow is an incredible nursery full of amazing, energetic and caring staff. My daughter has developed so well here and is happy every day she comes in. They follow the curriculum well for EYFS but also have amazing grounds, a farm and forest school. My daughter loves animals as we have a dog at home
but also I'm sure this love has developed from visiting the farm.

I have been so impressed with my experience at Rainbow so far. The staff have been amazing at helping my little one in all ways and I can see the day to day development of which the carers have assisted in. They are all great with the kids and create such a welcoming trusting environment
The space
the nursery is situated in is also brilliant. I love the grounds and the animals there which provide great experiences
It has also been great around how accommodating the management have been in making sure the kids have the best experience possible, for example making sure kids in friendship groups stay together as they transition up classes

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.916) out of 10 for Rainbow Day Nursery & Pre-School is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 44 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 44 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.934 for Rainbow Day Nursery & Pre-School is calculated as follows: ( (496 Excellents x 5) + (27 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 527 Ratings = 4.934
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.982 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Rainbow Day Nursery & Pre-School is based on 44 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 224 number of registered child places is 44.8. 44 Positive Reviews ÷ 44.8 = 0.982
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
