Pennypot Day Nursery, located in Chobham and part of the Childbase Partnership group of nurseries, is registered to offer admission to 116 children whose parents can then enjoy the peace of mind of leaving their child with qualified professionals and in an environment excellent for creativity and learning. They have also obtained their Green Flag Eco-Schools Award at distinction level.

Pennypot hold the extracurricular activity of 'Melody Movements' every Friday morning.

Staff look to respect the opinions and concerns of parents at all times, with a friendly service that does not compromise on the high standards of security, health and hygiene that the Childbase Partnership has always prided itself on.

I have found that since my son has been at Pennypot, his development has come on. He has developed more over the last few months since starting with Pennypot than he has when spending time with others. He is confident, talks and engages with others and out and about. The staff are very attentive and
support his development and encourage him to be himself. Even down to the reception team.
It's so caring and great to see a team passionate and devoted and take time out to treat and support your child. Keep up the great work.

We could not be happier with Pennypot Day Nursery and feel so relieved that we chose this nursery for our daughter. The number of settling in sessions was great and I always feel so relaxed dropping her off, even if she has a little cry because the staff are so lovely to her!
The end of day sheets
are brilliant as I know not all nurseries do this but it’s great to know exactly how much she’s eaten and slept etc. I really love the ParentZone app too and look forward to the updates.
What really has surprised/delighted me is how the manager, receptionists and nursery staff have taken the time to really get to know our daughter and us. It’s the loveliest atmosphere walking in! I was so worried that I would be called a lot in the first few months and have to miss work because of illness etc but that hasn’t been the case at all. It’s such a great nursery.

My children recently started at Pennypot having moved from another nursery both have settled incredibly fast and this is due to the time given by key workers to help them adapt to their new surroundings.
We are really impressed with Pennypots facilities, especially the outdoor space. Communication
from keyworkers and management is excellent which is a big part of the overall experience as parents.

New to the area after difficult circumstances and with a six-week-old baby, I had been recommended Pennypot and immediately I liked the fantastic warmth from the staff, surroundings, facilities and activities available.
From day one and at only 4 months old, all the staff made us feel they truly care
about all the children they look after, greeting them by name with a smile!
Going back to working full time, the fact that they operated full day hours and term times and provided all meals was amazing and knowing I was leaving my little baby girl in such a reassuring, welcoming environment where she can develop in confidence, emotionally, physically and mentally is a huge part in the start of her journey in life.
So highly recommend.

Pennypot Day Nursery has been outstanding in all respects. The staff are incredibly helpful, friendly and professional. The rooms are bright and welcoming and the children have every opportunity to develop and thrive. My two boys love it there and often don’t want to leave!

Fantastic staff and such a lovely nursery. Both my daughters have been at Pennypot since they were 6 months old, with my oldest been right through the nursery. From day one staff made us feel like they truly care about all the children they look after, always greeting them by name with a smile and
often a cuddle! They also take the time and effort to get to know the children's families, not just parents but grandparents and aunties and uncles too!
Nothing is ever too much trouble and staff respond to queries very efficiently.
My youngest daughter is in Bumblebees and it's so lovely that she runs in excited to be going into the nursery, it means that whilst I am at work I can rest easy knowing that she's having so much fun, in fact sometimes she doesn't want to come home!
Cannot come any more highly recommended! xxx

My son has attended this nursery since November 2015. From the start, they were great at settling him and accommodating my needs. I had been recommended the nursery and I immediately liked the surroundings, activities available and staff. Working full time, the fact that they operated full day hours
and provided all meals was amazing. I could leave my precious son in a place without any concerns or worries. They have supported his development all along to preparing him for school, with special assistance around his speech and use parent zone so we can contribute also. They also run lots of amazing activities outside nursery hours for the children supporting charities. I highly recommend them overall.

On entering the nursery you are met with very friendly staff, always a smile on their faces! The nursery itself offers lots of activities for the children. The nursery staff keep you well informed about the child's day. There is a lot of interaction between the staff and child and you can sense that
they are very committed to their profession. My Grandson is absolutely thriving at Penny Pot Nursery. I would have no hesitations in recommending this nursery to future parents.

The nursery is an absolutely brilliant nursery from beginning to end. At the front desk, you are always greeted with a smile and a very warm welcome. My child is in the caterpillar room and she comes out every day with a big smile on her face. She is looked after incredibly well and I couldn't be happier
with the care she is receiving.

My son has been going to Pennypot Day Nursery for the last 2 months. He has settled in extremely well. The staff are always friendly and put the children first, making excellent connections with the primary carer.
The meals are varied and all home cooked and the staff take the children into the outdoor
space when suitable. A great first impression.

Like most parents, we spent time carefully choosing the right nursery for our son. Pennypot Day Nursery has delivered all we hoped and gone above and beyond to create an environment that is welcoming and stimulating, providing us with reassurance that my son is being supported and loved. As a child
with additional needs, he has his challenges and Pennypot Day Nursery has put in time and effort to help him achieve his milestones in his own way.
In 2017, our youngest joined his older brother at Pennypot Day Nursery. We have trust and confidence in the nursery that his experience will be equally special.

When I visited Pennypot Day Nursery for the first time, everyone was warm and friendly and a child ran up and hugged the Manager so my first impression was of a really friendly, nurturing place with capable staff. My 2 children are really happy there, settled very quickly and are nice and tired at the
end of the day! The staff are all so lovely and I can't recommend it highly enough.

The staff at Pennypot Day Nursery have been so helpful and welcoming. They have made the process of nursery and returning to work so much easier than I thought it would be. Pennypot Day Nursery has proven to be a wonderful, enriching environment for my daughter. She started in Ladybirds, aged 10 months and quickly settled with the help of her keyworkers. She comes home happy, sharing stories and songs. She was particularly happy when, having shown an interest in construction,
she was let loose with some 'real cement'! Lots of fun things we wouldn't think to do at home.
I never doubt her welfare is of utmost importance to the Pennypot Day Nursery team and I am happy to leave her in their care.

My son settled in well and fast into the baby Caterpillars room. The staff are really caring and have made a good bond with my son. I am not worried at all when I drop him off to go to work for the day. He is in safe hands and only a call away. The facilities and activities are excellent at the nursery
and I know my son is always being entertained.

Carol is Manager of the award-winning Pennypot Day Nursery in Chobham and has a wealth of experience, having worked in the Early Years sector for 23 years. Carol has numerous qualifications, including a BA(Hons) Degree in Childcare & Education and Early Years Professional Status. In May 2022, Carol celebrates her 21st anniversary at Childbase Partnership.


What is your favourite feature of Pennypot?
I have many especially the large outdoor environment and fantastic rural location, as well as my amazing team.


What are you most proud of about your team?
Their passion and determination to constantly strive to improve outcomes for our children. We also have many long-serving staff members which is amazing.
