Pennypot Day Nursery (Chobham)

A change in circumstances led us to place our little girl in the care of Pennypot. We'd previously tried a local nursery, a childminder and the on-site nursery at my partner's former place of work, but, for various reasons, none worked out adequately. Our girl is very adventurous and adaptable, but we were resolved that this move needed to be for good to provide her with the stability we'd previously struggled to find for her.

As with everything she does our daughter hit the ground running and embraced her new nursery. She loves it. We're very impressed with the quality of care she receives. Her key worker is incredibly conscientious and keeps us well briefed on our daughter's latest adventures. The management team are friendly and professional and made our family feel welcome from the start. We feel that our daughter is flourishing at Pennypot and are confident that she's safe and very well cared for. We feel we have finally found the nursery experience we always wanted for her.

The staff are very attentive, personal and prioritise individual children's needs. Parents are regularly informed about their children's welfare and daily activities. There is a good connection between the nursery and parents.

We had a tough start with nursery - lots of tears, guilt and questioning our decision but the staff at Pennypot Day Nursery (Chobham) were very supportive of both my daughter and me. We are now 3 months in and so much happier and settled and that's testament to the care and understanding of the staff.

My daughter is developing very well and the nursery is very in tune with her needs, character and milestones.

My only (slightly) negative is I'd like my daughter to get outside more as they have such a nice outdoor space.

We transferred our son (two years old) to this nursery a couple of months ago from another local nursery and we are so pleased we did - he is thriving in this welcoming, engaging environment and is happy to go to nursery again. The staff in his room already know him well and are recognising areas they can help him with, and activities he really enjoys so he can capitalise on those. He particularly loves the garden and is allowed to be outside frequently, which is not an option at many of the other nurseries we looked at. I would not hesitate to recommend Pennypot to other parents looking for a safe and happy environment for their children.

My daughter has been coming for 3 years since she was 6 months old and have experienced excellent care in all the rooms. In particular, her key worker, in (Caterpillars), was outstanding at helping her settle in as a baby and gave me lovely personal updates every day - extremely reassuring to a mum returning to work. I hope she can be the key worker when my next little one starts nursery! another lady in (preschool) has also been excellent in finding practical ways to help her settle when she switched days and changed friendship groups. Think the friendly and personal atmosphere is set from the top and fed down to all the other staff so that we never go in without the manager and every other staff member smiling and welcoming the children in for the day. Most importantly my daughter enjoys going, loves the range of activities and talks happily about all the grown-ups she deals with and I have never had any doubts about the standard of care she has received. I thoroughly recommend Pennypot Day Nursery.

Our daughter has been attending Pennypot for 18 months now and in our experience all staff have been terrific over this time. They form a lovely bond with all carers and it is clear to us that our daughter especially loves her current key worker. The facilities are great, it always looks fun to learn in and our daughter always seems happy to be there which is obviously extremely reassuring.

My children have attended Pennypot since earlier this year and have had an excellent experience overall. The outdoor area is outstanding and all the members of staff have the children's best interests at heart. The variety of experiences is immense and the children learn very well through play and planned activities.

The nursery management team is excellent.

My son has settled so quickly thanks to the warm and friendly staff, especially his key person. He is always happy and excited when we arrive in the morning and having fun when I arrive to pick him up.

I would highly recommend Pennypot Day Nursery.

My daughter started at Pennypot around 3 months ago and has settled in extremely quickly, thanks to the great staff their. She is always talking about her favorite members of staff and we have already seen such improvement in her speech and numbers. She has learned to interact with others which is something she used to struggle with. I cant speak highly enough of the staff.

The Staff are all friendly and knowledgeable on my daughters progression. She smiles when knowing we are on our way to Nursery and always comes out smiling. The staff are always welcoming and happy when we arrive. I have always been impressed from day 1 that every member of staff knew her name.

My son's new key worker won The Professional Development Award from 100's of people whilst studying for an Early Years Degree. I have been very impressed by her passion, commitment and her willingness to experiment new methodologies with her pre-school level kids which in turn showed great responses and results before kids started school. My son has attended Pennypot Day Nursery for almost three years and the staff has been very caring throughout.

He has been supported and nurtured to an enormous degree and provided with the stretch, challenges and experiences that have allowed him to grow and progress.

Both of my 2 girls attended the nursery, both very well looked after. Constant stimulating activities, both girls completely loved coming. All the staff very friendly.

They certainly go the extra mile compared to other nurseries we have seen/been to.

I can't fault the care that my son has received whilst at nursery.
