Pennypot Day Nursery, located in Chobham and part of the Childbase Partnership group of nurseries, is registered to offer admission to 116 children whose parents can then enjoy the peace of mind of leaving their child with qualified professionals and in an environment excellent for creativity and learning. They have also obtained their Green Flag Eco-Schools Award at distinction level.

Pennypot hold the extracurricular activity of 'Melody Movements' every Friday morning.

Staff look to respect the opinions and concerns of parents at all times, with a friendly service that does not compromise on the high standards of security, health and hygiene that the Childbase Partnership has always prided itself on.

It is never easy to leave your new baby with someone else, but since my son started at Pennypot aged 6 months he has been so well looked after.
His keyworker has been wonderful with him and I love all the updates and photos of the activities they get up to on Parentzone.
I would highly recommend

My daughter started at Pennypot around 3 months ago and has settled in extremely quickly, thanks to the great staff their. She is always talking about her favorite members of staff and we have already seen such improvement in her speech and numbers. She has learned to interact with others which is something
she used to struggle with. I cant speak highly enough of the staff.

The Staff are all friendly and knowledgeable on my daughters progression. She smiles when knowing we are on our way to Nursery and always comes out smiling. The staff are always welcoming and happy when we arrive. I have always been impressed from day 1 that every member of staff knew her name.

My son's new key worker won The Professional Development Award from 100's of people whilst studying for an Early Years Degree. I have been very impressed by her passion, commitment and her willingness to experiment new methodologies with her pre-school level kids which in turn showed great responses
and results before kids started school. My son has attended Pennypot Day Nursery for almost three years and the staff has been very caring throughout.

My daughter has been going to Pennypot Day Nursery two days a week for the last three years and we have been delighted with it from day one.
The management and all the staff at the nursery are fantastic and the standard of care that our daughter has received has been first class from the baby room
right through to pre-school.
We have been extremely pleased with how she has developed throughout her time there and it has been so lovely to review the learning journals & have regular contact with her key worker to see how she is getting on, which has been made even easier now with the introduction of the online portal.
As she prepares to start big school in September we really feel that the nursery as a whole has been fantastic and most recently the pre-school room have been really preparing her for the start of reception.
We couldn't be happier with Pennypot and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely, caring nursery for their child. Many thanks to all the staff

Pennypot Chobham has been an important part of both our girl's lives, our family and their development. From the time our daughter started in the 'Caterpillars' room the team there was amazing, so warm and welcoming.
Then when both girls were in 'Ladybirds' the 2 practitioners in there were people
we could not have done without.
The practitioners take their roles very seriously but at the same time maintain the warmth and fun elements needed for this job.
It's not easy and the team here do an amazing job.

The staff and facilities at Pennypot are simply superb. Our daughter can be seen developing steadily into a confident, well-mannered, creative and intelligent little girl.
Staff have nurtured her interests and guided her interaction with other children so well, that she is friends with all her peers.
They certainly go the extra mile compared to other nurseries we have seen/been to.

My son has been attending the nursery since he was 1yr old. He is very happy there and lately has really come out of his shell, his confidence has grown and that's all thanks to the staff and his key person.
They have helped him communicate and develop and work with me.

I have had two children here in the last five years. Reassuringly many of the staff have been her for the whole time. Key workers know the children really well and adapt tasks to abilities.
I don't always get a lot of feedback when our key worker isn't there about what my child has done that day.

Pennypot has been and is an excellent nursery, I could fault anything about it.
The facilities and the staff are excellent. Our daughter has really enjoyed her time here.
We feel that our daughter is ready to go to infant school and Pennypot has played a big part of it.

Our son loves coming here, so much so that he even asks to come at the weekend.
The outside space is fantastic, especially as he loves the outdoors.

My son has always loved attending Pennypot. It is such a beautiful outdoor space and the way the indoor space is constantly changed and imaginatively conceived is so impressive.
Staff always look happy to be with the children and this is particularly important.

Our child has been at Pennypot part time for the past 1.5 months in Caterpillars and I can honestly say I think the nursery is wonderful. It's a big thing leaving an 8-month-old with other people all day but I always feel confident our child is in the best care and is having a wonderful time. Our lead
carer is brilliant - warm, caring and observant - providing detailed feedback on our child's development and needs.

Choosing a nursery is not a simple task. Leaving your child completely in the hands of what are initially complete strangers is a leap of faith. So when my wife and I looked at nurseries for our little boy we had a strict list of criteria. Would he learn, would he have fun - but most of all, would he
be cared for and made a priority? Pennypot delivers.
They were patient with our son, they were kind to him. And they made him feel safe and loved. He's gone in and in a matter of a few weeks from a boy who was struggling to have a nap, eat much or take a bottle, to a real part of the nursery, eating, sleeping, drinking and laughing. Lots of laughing.
We can see that he really enjoys being with the Pennypot staff who do exactly what we needed. Make him a priority. But not just our son. Every day the staff courteously greet us, and him of course. They give us an update on his day, taking genuine delight when he has done something new. Thank you Pennypot - Our son loves it with you!

We have been sending our children to Pennypot Nursery for just over three years now. Our first child 'graduated' last summer and she is now thriving in the nursery at her new infant school. We have every confidence that her time at Pennypot prepared her well and gave her a great advantage in the challenges
involved when starting at a new school.


We still have two children at Pennypot and continue to be very pleased with the standard of care and education delivered by the staff. The facilities are great - the quiet location and outdoor space are brilliant especially in the warmer months when the children seem to spend all their time playing outside in the fresh air.


Our children have special educational needs too and we feel that those are handled well by the staff and we can see the effort they have gone to in accommodating these needs.


When dropping off the children in the morning, they walk into Pennypot happily and eager to start their day and we feel that says it all!

Carol is Manager of the award-winning Pennypot Day Nursery in Chobham and has a wealth of experience, having worked in the Early Years sector for 23 years. Carol has numerous qualifications, including a BA(Hons) Degree in Childcare & Education and Early Years Professional Status. In May 2022, Carol celebrates her 21st anniversary at Childbase Partnership.


What is your favourite feature of Pennypot?
I have many especially the large outdoor environment and fantastic rural location, as well as my amazing team.


What are you most proud of about your team?
Their passion and determination to constantly strive to improve outcomes for our children. We also have many long-serving staff members which is amazing.
