Pennypot Day Nursery (Chobham)

Fabulous for our daughter. Helpful for us and we would always recommend nursery over other childcare options.

Have been very happy. Our daughter has been attending for 18months. Eats well, has made some lovely friends, has maintained good confidence and has enjoyed her time here.

I never doubt her welfare is of utmost importance to the Pennypot Day Nursery team and I am happy to leave her in their care.

My son settled in well and fast into the baby Caterpillars room. The staff are really caring and have made a good bond with my son. I am not worried at all when I drop him off to go to work for the day. He is in safe hands and only a call away. The facilities and activities are excellent at the nursery and I know my son is always being entertained.

I love the free flow setup, and the fact the children are encouraged on a daily basis (from the moment they arrive!) to go outside in the garden area to play and explore if they choose to. I have seen my daughter's level of confidence in socialising, an improvement in her speech (she is a stammerer) improve tenfold. I firmly believe this is largely due to the setting she is currently in - she has all the right stimuli and lots of time and space to develop emotionally, physically and mentally. There is a spirit of inclusion and Pennypot is a comfortable and welcoming setting. Strongly recommend.

Overall I'm really happy with Pennypot Day Nursery (Cobham), particularly with my daughter's development since she has been there and relationship with her key worker.

They have been very supportive in helping my daughter settle as she finds any new environment particularly challenging, which has been a huge comfort time to know her needs are tailored to her as an individual.

My 6-month-old son has recently started at Pennypot. From the moment I walked through the door, I felt a warm and welcoming environment. The baby room is age appropriate and our son has been engaging in lots of activities we don’t get time to do at home. Our son has recently started weaning and the nursery has supported my partner in ensuring our son has a well-balanced diet. Our son's keyworker has worked very hard at ensuring our son is happy every day and has made the process of my partner going back to work so much easier. I would highly recommend Pennypot to new parents.

My daughter is comfortable with the staff at Pennypot Day Nursery (Cobham) as she is with her own mum and dad! Great setup, secure and a great menu, following feedback given.

We are very happy with the care our son receives at Pennypot Day Nursery (Cobham). He enjoys his time there especially playing outdoors as the garden area is lovely with lots of activities for the children.

My son loves all of the staff in pre-school.

My daughter started at 17 months old and is now 3 and a half years. I have found Pennypot to be very nurturing. The staff always greet my daughter with warmth and smiles. When she transferred to the 2-3-year-old room, the staff were fully aware of what my daughter needed each morning to feel settled which I appreciated. Now she is in pre-school and absolutely loves it. Her key worker is lovely and my daughter has formed a wonderful bond with her.

Going back to work and leaving your baby is hard but it’s been so much easier knowing he’s being left in such good hands.

I am really pleased with the care my daughter gets at the nursery. I was very apprehensive about going back to work (she was 12 months old) but the settling in process was excellent (4 sessions covering all aspects - meal, nap etc) and was very reassuring.

She absolutely loves going and has lots of fun with all the activities which have really brought her on. The app is also really good for keeping you in touch about what they are doing when you are at work. I would thoroughly recommend.

Pennypot is a lovely nursery and we are delighted with our choice. The staff are so friendly and are great at keeping you updated with how things are going and how the little ones are settling in and progressing. I love the photo updates and comments they do on day to day activities. It's so nice to see our little one enjoying himself and taking part in different activities. This particularly helped at the beginning when it was a teary drop-off - so reassuring to see him happy in the day.

It feels very safe too, the staff are great at knowing and being aware of who is doing pick up and double checking if it is someone they have not met before. My dad was delighted when he got ID and it was double checked that he was on the list for pick up!

Lovely nursery and lovely staff.

A change in circumstances led us to place our little girl in the care of Pennypot. We'd previously tried a local nursery, a childminder and the on-site nursery at my partner's former place of work, but, for various reasons, none worked out adequately. Our girl is very adventurous and adaptable, but we were resolved that this move needed to be for good to provide her with the stability we'd previously struggled to find for her.

As with everything she does our daughter hit the ground running and embraced her new nursery. She loves it. We're very impressed with the quality of care she receives. Her key worker is incredibly conscientious and keeps us well briefed on our daughter's latest adventures. The management team are friendly and professional and made our family feel welcome from the start. We feel that our daughter is flourishing at Pennypot and are confident that she's safe and very well cared for. We feel we have finally found the nursery experience we always wanted for her.

The staff are very attentive, personal and prioritise individual children's needs. Parents are regularly informed about their children's welfare and daily activities. There is a good connection between the nursery and parents.

We had a tough start with nursery - lots of tears, guilt and questioning our decision but the staff at Pennypot Day Nursery (Chobham) were very supportive of both my daughter and me. We are now 3 months in and so much happier and settled and that's testament to the care and understanding of the staff.

My daughter is developing very well and the nursery is very in tune with her needs, character and milestones.

My only (slightly) negative is I'd like my daughter to get outside more as they have such a nice outdoor space.

We transferred our son (two years old) to this nursery a couple of months ago from another local nursery and we are so pleased we did - he is thriving in this welcoming, engaging environment and is happy to go to nursery again. The staff in his room already know him well and are recognising areas they can help him with, and activities he really enjoys so he can capitalise on those. He particularly loves the garden and is allowed to be outside frequently, which is not an option at many of the other nurseries we looked at. I would not hesitate to recommend Pennypot to other parents looking for a safe and happy environment for their children.
