They have also obtained their Green Flag Eco-Schools Award at distinction level.

Pennypot hold the extracurricular activity of 'Melody Movements' every Friday morning.

We signed up to Pennypot mid January and I'm really impressed with the staff, the setup of the play areas, and the management.
I love the free flow setup, and the fact the children are encouraged on a daily basis (from the moment they arrive!) to go outside in the garden area to play and explore
if they choose to. I have seen my daughter's level of confidence in socialising, an improvement in her speech (she is a stammerer) improve tenfold. I firmly believe this is largely due to the setting she is currently in - she has all the right stimuli and lots of time and space to develop emotionally, physically and mentally. There is a spirit of inclusion and Pennypot is a comfortable and welcoming setting. Strongly recommend.

Overall I'm really happy with Pennypot Day Nursery (Cobham), particularly with my daughter's development since she has been there and relationship with her key worker.


They have been very supportive in helping my daughter settle as she finds any new environment particularly challenging, which has

been a huge comfort time to know her needs are tailored to her as an individual.

My 6-month-old son has recently started at Pennypot. From the moment I walked through the door, I felt a warm and welcoming environment. The baby room is age appropriate and our son has been engaging in lots of activities we don’t get time to do at home. Our son has recently started weaning and the
nursery has supported my partner in ensuring our son has a well-balanced diet. Our son's keyworker has worked very hard at ensuring our son is happy every day and has made the process of my partner going back to work so much easier. I would highly recommend Pennypot to new parents.

The staff in the ladybird's room are outstanding. Attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and always willing to make you feel as though you've left your child in safe hands.
My daughter is comfortable with the staff at Pennypot Day Nursery (Cobham) as she is with her own mum and dad! Great setup, secure

My son joined Pennypot in September, started with one and a half days a week and quickly moved to 4 days due to our work commitments. They made us feel very reassured about leaving him and made him feel very welcome. My son loves going and we are very impressed with his progress in many areas since
starting.
We find Pennypot to be a very nurturing and professional environment and feel very lucky we found it for our son.

My granddaughter absolutely loves Pennypot.
When I collect her at the end of her session she is always engaged and having a wonderful time. Her language has come on in leaps and bounds and she has improved her listening skills enormously.
The staff are friendly, caring and very welcoming. The interaction
between the children and all of the room staff is fantastic.
The garden is a wonderful space for the children to play and explore and I like that they are able to choose to come and go into the garden as they please.
She also loves the stretch and grow sessions and often comes home and shows us what exercises are good for us!
I would highly recommend this lovely nursery.

Preschool room is a great balance of fun and discipline. The nursery staff/practitioners work so hard to create imaginative play and an inspiring learning environment. They are always trying new ideas and I know they spend their free time thinking of new ways to learn, to buying materials and resources
and upskilling themselves with new/innovative ways. I love the way they have instilled respect and structure to my 3-year-old, even at home, if he is misbehaving, I sometimes say "What would your practitioners say now?"
My son loves all of the staff in pre-school.

My daughter started at 17 months old and is now 3 and a half years. I have found Pennypot to be very nurturing. The staff always greet my daughter with warmth and smiles. When she transferred to the 2-3-year-old room, the staff were fully aware of what my daughter needed each morning to feel settled
which I appreciated. Now she is in pre-school and absolutely loves it. Her key worker is lovely and my daughter has formed a wonderful bond with her.

Really lovely nursery, very kind and helpful staff who have really helped my little boy settle into nursery. I love the observations they regularly put online of your child showing you what they’re up to day to day and how thorough they are with keeping you in the loop of how they’ve been and what they’ve
needed each day.
Going back to work and leaving your baby is hard but it’s been so much easier knowing he’s being left in such good hands.

I am really pleased with the care my daughter gets at the nursery. I was very apprehensive about going back to work (she was 12 months old) but the settling in process was excellent (4 sessions covering all aspects - meal, nap etc) and was very reassuring.


She absolutely loves going and has lots

of fun with all the activities which have really brought her on. The app is also really good for keeping you in touch about what they are doing when you are at work. I would thoroughly recommend.

Pennypot is a lovely nursery and we are delighted with our choice. The staff are so friendly and are great at keeping you updated with how things are going and how the little ones are settling in and progressing. I love the photo updates and comments they do on day to day activities. It's so nice to
see our little one enjoying himself and taking part in different activities. This particularly helped at the beginning when it was a teary drop-off - so reassuring to see him happy in the day.


It feels very safe too, the staff are great at knowing and being aware of who is doing pick up and double checking if it is someone they have not met before. My dad was delighted when he got ID and it was double checked that he was on the list for pick up!

A change in circumstances led us to place our little girl in the care of Pennypot. We'd previously tried a local nursery, a childminder and the on-site nursery at my partner's former place of work, but, for various reasons, none worked out adequately. Our girl is very adventurous and adaptable, but
we were resolved that this move needed to be for good to provide her with the stability we'd previously struggled to find for her.


As with everything she does our daughter hit the ground running and embraced her new nursery. She loves it. We're very impressed with the quality of care she receives. Her key worker is incredibly conscientious and keeps us well briefed on our daughter's latest adventures. The management team are friendly and professional and made our family feel welcome from the start. We feel that our daughter is flourishing at Pennypot and are confident that she's safe and very well cared for. We feel we have finally found the nursery experience we always wanted for her.

We had a tough start with nursery - lots of tears, guilt and questioning our decision but the staff at Pennypot Day Nursery (Chobham) were very supportive of both my daughter and me. We are now 3 months in and so much happier and settled and that's testament to the care and understanding of the staff.


My daughter is developing very well and the nursery is very in tune with her needs, character and milestones.


My only (slightly) negative is I'd like my daughter to get outside more as they have such a nice outdoor space.

We transferred our son (two years old) to this nursery a couple of months ago from another local nursery and we are so pleased we did - he is thriving in this welcoming, engaging environment and is happy to go to nursery again. The staff in his room already know him well and are recognising areas they
can help him with, and activities he really enjoys so he can capitalise on those. He particularly loves the garden and is allowed to be outside frequently, which is not an option at many of the other nurseries we looked at. I would not hesitate to recommend Pennypot to other parents looking for a safe and happy environment for their children.

My daughter has been coming for 3 years since she was 6 months old and have experienced excellent care in all the rooms. In particular, her key worker, in (Caterpillars), was outstanding at helping her settle in as a baby and gave me lovely personal updates every day - extremely reassuring to a mum
returning to work. I hope she can be the key worker when my next little one starts nursery! another lady in (preschool) has also been excellent in finding practical ways to help her settle when she switched days and changed friendship groups. Think the friendly and personal atmosphere is set from the top and fed down to all the other staff so that we never go in without the manager and every other staff member smiling and welcoming the children in for the day. Most importantly my daughter enjoys going, loves the range of activities and talks happily about all the grown-ups she deals with and I have never had any doubts about the standard of care she has received. I thoroughly recommend Pennypot Day Nursery.

Our daughter has been attending Pennypot for 18 months now and in our experience all staff have been terrific over this time. They form a lovely bond with all carers and it is clear to us that our daughter especially loves her current key worker. The facilities are great, it always looks fun to learn
in and our daughter always seems happy to be there which is obviously extremely reassuring.

My children have attended Pennypot since earlier this year and have had an excellent experience overall. The outdoor area is outstanding and all the members of staff have the children's best interests at heart. The variety of experiences is immense and the children learn very well through play and planned
activities.

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2001

Carol is Manager of the award-winning Pennypot Day Nursery in Chobham and has a wealth of experience, having worked in the Early Years sector for 23 years. Carol has numerous qualifications, including a BA(Hons) Degree in Childcare & Education and Early Years Professional Status. In May 2022, Carol celebrates her 21st anniversary at Childbase Partnership.


What is your favourite feature of Pennypot?
I have many especially the large outdoor environment and fantastic rural location, as well as my amazing team.


What are you most proud of about your team?
Their passion and determination to constantly strive to improve outcomes for our children. We also have many long-serving staff members which is amazing.
