Bright Horizons Caterham Burntwood Lane Day Nursery and Preschool provides high-quality care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

The nursery itself is a beautifully refurbished, purpose-built building all on one level, split into four age groups. Each room is equipped with high quality, age-appropriate resources and the children have immediate access to a large outdoor space.

The nursery has an amazing garden that even has its own LED-lit adventure fort. There’s so much exploring to look forward to each day: an amazing climbing frame, reading dens, a cycle area and a planting area which the children help care for to learn about the world around them.

An enriching Ready for School programme gives every child the opportunity to gain knowledge and confidence to thrive in school and beyond.

The nursery also provides nutritious and delicious meals, prepared by a dedicated on-site chef.

The setting is conveniently located next to Stafford Sports Centre, close to the M25 and 15 minutes' walk from Whyteleafe rail station, with on-site parking available.

Both our children have been incredibly happy and settled at nursery, through every move between rooms they have had plenty of experience in the new room which has made the transition easy.
They have learnt a lot and had experiences we wouldn't have been able to match at home.
Overall we are very happy

A fantastic nursery.
All staff are great and really care for the children.
It's always hard leaving your kids.
But seeing how much they love going to nursery makes it so much easier.
They get on very well with all their key persons and you can see in their development that their time at Asquiths
is a benefit to them.

We feel that our daughter was fully supported to make the transition between nursery and preschool and she seems to have settled in really well.
The staff are always very friendly and able to tell us all that our daughter has done on a particular day.
The managers, one especially is extremely efficient
and responds to any of my email enquiries promptly and substantively.
I am very pleased with the care/education this preschool provides.

I am so grateful to everyone at Caterham Day Nursery for giving both my daughters (3 and 7) the very best start in life; in their education, self-development, confidence and happiness.
I could not be happier with how my daughters are cared for.
My eldest daughter recalls her time at nursery very fondly
and my youngest has such a fun time at preschool.
They're happy, confident and have great friendships and memories.

The facilities are second to none, the grounds and airiness of the rooms.
The way the nursery is run is very good, management are on the case.
There are good activities for the children and staff are nurturing and caring, which is important for the young children.
(As a side, the cost is very high,
which is why I have put likely to recommend rather than extremely likely.)

The staff in the nursery room are so friendly. My son loves the staff, I have had no tears at drop off, he goes running into their arms.
I am very pleased with the nursery and the staff and know my son is in safe hands when I leave him in the mornings.
I know he is happy, he loves the activities
and all the space he has both indoors and outdoors.

Overall we like the facility. My son loved it here and had a great friendship group. This wasn't our experience with our other son. He took longer to settle down and make friends. We felt sometimes he struggled here. Although, saying this, he has settled down now. The staff are good and informative
and very willing to help and listen. The only concern we have is the cost. It does somewhat tarnish the value for money aspect.

Very pleased with the overall level of care. Very afraid that standards will slip with the merger. We speak from experience. The food is ok but I am disappointed to see the same version of fish stew repeated each month, which none of the kids like. Also, pastries for tea? She comes home hungry these
days. Otherwise, fine. I would like to see more cooking with the children going on. Outside space is fabulous.

Our son started at Caterham Day Nursery in December and we have had a wholly positive experience. The staff are wonderful and look after the children as if they were their own. Our son loves going to nursery. The food provided for the little ones is excellent - made on site, and plenty of variety.
The children get plenty of opportunities to play outside and do lots of different activities throughout the day. I was mainly concerned about how our son would nap there as he has not been the best sleeper - but the staff have been willing to accommodate his needs and he naps really well there.

We moved here from another nursery and have been very happy since. Our daughter looks forward to nursery every morning and talks about it frequently. The staff are friendly and generally very welcoming with the children which is what you want for a 2-year-old. Our daughter has built a good rapport with
some of the 'teachers' and enjoys her time at nursery. The nursery has great outside facilities for play and a good open space inside.

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2016

Gizem is the Nursery Manager at Bright Horizons Caterham, Burntwood Lane and has been part of the setting since 2016. She began her journey as an unqualified Nursery Assistant and, through dedication and continuous growth, progressed to her current leadership role.


Throughout her career, Gizem has embraced a wide range of professional development opportunities, including completing her Early Years qualification, a Level 2 certificate in Understanding Autism, and coaching training. She is currently studying for a Level 5 Bachelor's degree in Early Years, further enhancing her leadership and pedagogical skills.


Her passion for early years education shines through in her daily work. Gizem is proud to lead a committed, hardworking team and finds great reward in witnessing their impact, most notably through the joy and smiles of the children in their care.

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Sophie has been a valued member of Bright Horizons for over three and a half years. She began her career as an unqualified Nursery Assistant and, through hard work, dedication and a passion for early years education, has progressed to the role of Deputy Manager.


Throughout her time at Bright Horizons, Sophie has developed strong relationships with both children and families, gaining experience across all age groups. She is especially passionate about supporting children in reaching their early developmental milestones and takes pride in creating a nurturing and engaging environment where every child feels safe, supported and inspired to learn.
