Bright Horizons Caterham Burntwood Lane Day Nursery and Preschool

Both I and my daughter adore the nursery, likewise the practitioners and management team; as they always make us feel supported and work hard to provide a home-from-home experience.

My little boy has only been at the nursery for a couple of weeks but so far, I am very impressed! All the staff are brilliant and I couldn't recommend them enough. The facilities are excellent and my little one is so happy every day when I pick him up. Very pleased with our decision to choose this nursery.

Fantastic nursery with a wonderful staff. Our daughter absolutely loves it. The outdoor space is lovely and the range of activities for play and learning is excellent. All the staff know the children as individuals and get to know the whole family. Would 100% recommend it.

My child has attended this nursery for almost ten months and she is so happy and settled there. She only goes once a week and gets very excited about her nursery day! The staff are all very friendly and welcoming and you can see how much they really care about the children. The app is great for updating parents on what their child has eaten that day, sleep times, etc as well as occasional photo updates which are always really nice to see! There seems to be a good range of activities the children participate in, both inside and outside. I think my child's language has really developed since being at nursery due to their encouragement with this. I have recommended the nursery to both friends and family looking for childcare for their children as we are so happy with our choice.

I was so nervous to leave my child at a nursery, but I could not be happier that I was able to get him into Bright Horizons Burntwood Lane. He has been there since January 2024 and I find the staff so friendly, relaxed and feel like they genuinely enjoy looking after the children. I love the outdoor space for the children to play in and feel so confident leaving my child there. Would 100% recommend!

Our 2-year-old son is excited to go into Nursery telling us who he is going to play with. It was a tough start settling him in but with his amazing key worker and other members of staff he now asks to go in over the weekend.

My son changed nurseries in September 2023 and has blossomed ever since. We are very pleased about the bond he has created with the teachers and the level of communication. The staff are very friendly and always helpful. He has also learned a lot and has met some great friends he loves to talk about. Overall, great experience!

Such a great nursery. The staff are so caring with the children and very enthusiastic about their job. The outdoor space is fantastic and the children have so much space to explore and learn. My child is so happy here and I am grateful.

Bright Horizons Bright Horizons Caterham Burntwood Lane Day Nursery and Preschool has been the best place for my daughter over the last 2 years. She loves going in each day and has thrived with the caring, fun loving, and conscientious staff. They are also excellent on health, and spotted when she had breathing difficulties and supported us as she took on inhalers. I know she is 100% safe and happy in the days she is there. The staff always give little anecdotes at pick up that give us insight into our daughter's day and have lots of time for parents. They also make the effort to celebrate milestones and events with a prep bag to help adjust to new siblings and personalised birthday cards as examples. The outdoor space is excellent in summer and the kids are out as much as possible learning nature as well as enjoying the play equipment. It's a great place generally but the staff (the core team of which are very consistently present) create an atmosphere that stands out for me.

My son loves this nursery and has such a connection with all the staff! My son is autistic and is non-verbal, but he has always continued to be included in everything they do. They support with his speech and language and do great one on one learning with him. The nursery manager is beyond amazing, without her we wouldn’t be where we are today with my son getting the support he needs going into school with a full EHCP. I will forever be grateful to her and everything she has done for us over the years.

My two children attend this nursery and preschool and both love it. This is mainly due to the wonderful staff, who are always caring and friendly. The variety of food served is great. The outside space is exceptional and is one of the reasons who chose the nursery in the first place. I have recommended and will continue to recommend the nursery and pre school to everyone.

Our son started at Burntwood Lane Nursery a few months ago in preschool class after previously attending another nursery and we've been really pleased as to how well he's settled in and the progress he's making, which is down to the hard work of the team in his room. They, along with all the staff have created a friendly, happy environment so he's always excited to go in. The information about his day you get from the app and the range of activities they do with him is great to see. Would highly recommend the place to anyone in the area!

Our daughter has been going to preschool here since September 2022. It was really important for us to find the best suited nursery as we were moving her from where we previously lived. The transition was made so easy for her as Bright Horizons offered an amazing number of settle sessions. She has since been doing amazingly at preschool and has learnt so much. Two great nursery managers, great communication and very friendly, making you feel instantly welcomed. All the staff that work there are so lovely, they know all the children's names, even if not working in the same room! The preschool staff are great ladies, really care for our daughter, amazing communication and have learnt to really read her and advocate so well for the kids. I feel that this Bright Horizons really is our child's home from home. So glad we chose here. I think it's the best stepping stone for children before they start primary school!

Bright Horizons is a brilliant nursery. I have had two of my children attend over the years. My youngest is currently attending. The staff are great. They put in every effort and care whilst looking after your child. They go above and beyond to be professional, attentive and nurturing. Activities, food and hygiene I would rate all five stars as well. Thank you so much, to the team for always making sure my daughter is happy and looked after.

My daughter has been attending Burntwood Lane Nursery since October 2022. We recently moved to the area and all I can say is that this nursery is amazing. I have been as impressed with the management team, as with all the teaching assistants. The management team are helpful and friendly and provides you with all the information. They are flexible and I have generally always been able to get extra days at short notice if I have an emergency. All teachers and support staff are friendly and really care about the children. My daughter, who was very shy and reserved in her last nursery has totally come out of her shell. She looks forward to going to see her teachers and friends and never wants to leave! I'm lucky if I get a kiss goodbye and a wave as she rushes off to see her friends and teacher, when I drop her off.

An amazing, helpful and fun nursery. Previously my daughter attended a different nursery which she hated and left her terrified of going each week. However, since we moved her she has totally changed and after just one week of being at Bright Horizons, she started to love going again. She loves all the staff and is so happy. The staff are so friendly and really supportive of her and us as parents, so I would highly recommend it to anyone looking.

The team have been so supportive and welcoming. Our son has settled in so well and he loves his time there. They have gone above and beyond for us and we are so grateful to them for the wonderful care they provide.

This is my first experience of a nursery with my first child. They have all made the process so easy and natural. I cannot praise them enough. My son loves his time at nursery and he's always smiling when I drop him off and pick him up. The app is a great way to check how he's getting on. So pleased I picked this nursery and I love seeing all the photos of my child's development. Massive thank you!

Unfortunately, we made the wrong choice choosing Bright Horizon Caterham. They claim to support and offer flexibility, this is certainly not the case on so many occasions. Poor management of staff. Very disappointing indeed.
