Child First Bicester is a private daycare nursery which has a vibrant environment in which children can learn through play and be involved in meaningful experiences.

The nursery cares for children from 3 months to 5 years and is open from 7:30 am - 6:30 pm Monday to Friday.

In a free-flow environment, children are able to choose from a wide range of resources, exploring and developing new skills with the support of dedicated staff.

Extra-curricular activities include singing, dancing, music, cookery, Spanish, football and drama, while children also grow vegetables and enjoy a variety of festivals, events and special days.

I don’t have a single bad word to say about this nursery! I was dubious about sending my little boy to another nursery after a poor previous experience but they are amazing! ALL staff are friendly and supportive and all know the children individually - even staff from other rooms. They have a fab calendar
of events and I love being able to stay for breakfast on their breakfast club days. Social media and communication through tapestry help me feel part of his day. Amazing nursery - really sad to be leaving to move up north


The grade of excellent isn’t good enough to describe the staff and their care - I honestly feel like they care for him the way I would at home.

I would like to thank everyone at Child First Nursery for the outstanding care you have given my daughter throughout the three years she has been with you. My daughter came to you with great shyness and major eating issues, and you made it such an easy process for her, not only has she overcome a lot
but she is a very bubbly and happy child, ready to take the next journey up to reception in September. I would recommend you highly, thank you all so much, keep doing what you do. Amazing, friendly staff that CARE.

My wife is very discerning, she checked all the local nurseries out and she chose Child First out of all of them. That was a year ago, we are now so happy with Child First. Since the manager took over, it is extremely well run and they are very flexible with changing hours etc as and when needed. The
best bit, however, is the staff. Every single one of them are loving and caring and loads of fun 100% of the time, I don't know how they do it! The children are all very happy there all the time, there are never any tears, they eat better than at home and they do loads of outdoor play and lots of indoor activities that develop a whole list of important early skills. They really make you feel at home and we will definitely be sending our second child there as soon as we want to. If you want a place that you can trust to look after your priceless children, then there is no better place than Child First.

We had our son in this nursery since 6 months old until 2.5 years old. We stopped as we were leaving the country due to our jobs, otherwise we would have continued and put our daughter there too.


I cannot rate the staff highly enough. Always attentive, smiling and hard working. Very kind to children

and time to debrief parents too.


The management team are quick to reply to emails and efficient to sort out any problems or requests.


Our son loved going to nursery where they have a multitude of activities that are related to development aims, but also allow the children to play by themselves inside and outside. We also liked that they try and get the children outside every day and minimise use of electronics devices.


Only criticism would be lack of parking!


Thank you to all the staff at Child First Bicester. You have been wonderful and do such an amazing job. I wish there was more governmental financial aid to support nurseries and pay you all more because you deserve it.

A fantastic childcare facility. I have a child in the preschool class - Butterflies who has been at CF since 6 months of age, and has settled incredibly well. She has been supported through each room with love and care.
We started our second child in the baby room at 6 months and she is also thriving.
She is a challenging child, but the staff are fantastic with her and her development is brilliant.
We have always felt respected by management and staff, and can feel the care and compassion they have for our children. We have no concerns about unnecessary child pick-ups due to sickness.

We chose Child First for our little girl when I was planning to return to work and she entered at around 8 months. From our initial look around we were incredibly impressed with the professionalism balanced with deep caring that we observed. Our little girl not only settled in well but absolutely thrived
and loved attending Child First. We found her development came on leaps and bounds and the attentive care she received was exactly in line with the way we wanted to parent her. In addition, she returned each day thoroughly tired from the day's activities and enjoyed the on-site prepared food tremendously. We would not hesitate to recommend this nursery as we were very happy with our choice and find our daughter to have thrived whilst there.

We have had a brilliant experience at Child First for both of our children. They have loved everything about the experience: the staff, the learning (playing), rugby, dancing, cooking, stories, shows, activities within the nursery and trips out, as well as the chance to build friends and interact
with a diverse mix of children. It is difficult to say what they have enjoyed the most because they always come home having had a great day, although I think the 'home corner' is always a favourite. The food cooked by the team has been wonderful, and that isn't always an easy thing to achieve for a child with food allergies, but nothing has been too much trouble. If you judged a book by its cover you may not be tempted in (although the beautifying of the front has helped), but behind the facade is a wonderfully playful, creative, and nurturing setting with an outside space just ripe for adventure (sand, water, mud kitchen, and the occasional Running Duck).

As an early years teacher I had very high standards and expectations for where to send my own children I knew exactly what I wanted and Child First has achieved and exceeded my expectations and even given me ideas for my own teaching practice. Kind, fun, friendly and inspiring staff and amazing management.
You won't find a better start for your children.

I would very much like to say a very big thank you to the whole Child First, Bicester team for the warmth and standard of care my children have received since they first joined 3 years ago. I have nothing but praise and gratitude for the way the whole team works, from the way we are greeted to the wonderful
things they do with the children to help them develop. Things like the rugby, dancing and the wee day trips are all excellent and few other nurseries I know of do anything like it.


All of the team are professional, warm, friendly and understanding of my needs as well as the children's and it has made being a working mum so much easier. Knowing that my children are safe, cared for and really happy has been a weight off my mind. I cannot recommend this wonderful team enough - Thank you!

I enrolled my child in this nursery after dissatisfaction with another operator. I had previously ignored Child First because of the outside of the building! Huge lesson learned - do not judge a book by its cover. That said the exterior has had a makeover now so hopefully others won't make the same
mistake I did.


The care my son received at Child First was amazing and I can genuinely say we loved all of the staff.


The environment and facilities are brilliant but more than anything it was being able to leave my child totally safe in the knowledge that he was looked after, cared for and loved. Communication with staff and updates was very good, his meals were varied and plentiful and we appreciated the numerous opportunities to meet other parents and join in with activities at the nursery like mothers and fathers day teas and even grandparents tea too!


I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough and it's a great reminder that OFSTED reports are only one part of the jigsaw.

A fantastic nursery not to be missed by anyone looking for a asafe and caring place for their children. My daughter has come on brilliantly since starting here. She loves attending every day and is given loads of opportunities that she would otherwise not have. My eldest went to a different pre-school
that unfortunately closed down so I initially put my youngest here so she could progress without moving. It is the best decision I ever made! I recommend people to Child First all the time. It may not look like much from the outside, but inside the play areas are lovely, warm, cosy, friendly, welcoming and well-equipped with age-appropriate toys and activities being available. They play outside every day regardless of the weather which I find wonderful. The staff are very welcoming and helpful to both me and my 2 children, even though one has never attended, they still know her by name and make an effort every time they see her to interact with her. The home-cooked food is excellent quality and my daughter loves having her breakfast and dinner there: she eats better than I do!

I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough.
My toddler moved from another nursery to here, due to a change of hours. The staff are friendly, helpful and caring. They have reassured us all and take the time to get to know each and every child.
The facilities are fantastic, they even have chickens,
bunnies and fish .. My son adores the staff and has really been treated like an individual.
The menu of nutritious home cooked food, the care taken to ensure the children are socialised and healthy really means a lot to us.
I'd really recommend this nursery, having another child (older) who went to a different nursery, the whole set up here is overwhelmingly good.

We reviewed all the local nurseries and this was the best available then. Four years on it has gone from strength to strength. It's been trouble free, the staff are amazing, the space inside and out is big. Don't miss this nursery when considering a place for your child in the Bicester area. Well done

Child First have shown a very high level of care for our child and us as parents.
