A team of caring, friendly and qualified staff help each child develop at their own pace in a safe, friendly and fun environment and actively encourage parents to become involved in the life of the nursery.
Sunshine Corner is located in Kent, Canterbury, and was assessed as 'Good' by Ofsted on January 10th 2023.
The nursery is open from 7.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, 51 weeks of the year (closed 1 week for Christmas), excluding bank holidays and three staff training days.
What they've been up to!
The children have been celebrating World Book Day and cultural events.
Impact on children's learning
• Learning about how different cultures have different celebrations and celebrating Martisor, the beginning of Spring.
• Being creative and making their own stories for World Book Day.
• Building on fine motor skills, communication and language and developing imaginations.
The children are still extending their learning by learning how stories are written and have and have a children's author coming to visit.
We currently have been taking part in little kickers, and they have been visiting the big schools forest school.

Families accessing government-funded childcare hours are not charged for extras such as consumables, learning resources, or activities. However, a contribution is asked towards snacks and meals, which is entirely voluntary for families accessing funded hours.

Refundable Deposit
The nursery does not charge a registration fee. However, families who are paying fees are required to pay a deposit to secure their child's place. This deposit is fully refundable and will be deducted from your final invoice, provided the required notice period has been given and all terms of the agreement have been met. Full details of the deposit and notice requirements will be provided during the enrolment process to ensure complete transparency and peace of mind for families.

I absolutely love Sunshine Corner and would describe it as one of my son's happy places. I feel completely at peace leaving him in their care and am amazed at the progress he's made. His growing confidence in singing, improved social skills and expanding vocabulary are just incredible. Every time I drop him off, I feel reassured and welcomed by the staff and management, who truly make you feel at home. I feel so fortunate that my child has a place here. You can genuinely sense the staff's dedication and concern for your child's well-being and as a parent, that's the most important thing. It speaks volumes!

Such an incredible homely feel at Sunshine Corner. Nothing ever feels like too much trouble and my daughter has been incredibly happy. My daughter has struggled with leaving us (her parents) but her keyworker and in fact every member of staff go above and beyond to make her settle quickly and happy. She has really come out of her shell and excelled within sunshine corner and has got all the skills ready to start her new adventure at school! I would recommend this nursery to anyone who asks. 10/10 amazing!

The manager and the team at Sunshine Corner are the best things to happen in our sun's development. Words like exceptional and incredible are not enough to describe them and express our gratitude. The manager and the team supported our son through his educational journey, providing him with tailored learning strategies and emotional support. Thanks to all of them, he learned so much. The team helped him develop a lot, especially physically, emotionally, and intellectually, as well as in numeracy and literacy. We cannot thank them enough for that. Once again, we want to use this opportunity to express our gratitude to the manager and the entire team. I am very happy with how my son's transition to nursery is going. The staff are amazing and supportive. My son has taken a while to settle as he has spent three years at home with his mum, but the staff go above and beyond trying to find ways to help him settle. They also liaise with me regularly throughout the day to tell me how he is getting on. I couldn't be happier with the support from his key workers; they are doing an amazing job. His key workers treat him as an individual and ask me about his preferences and likes, as they use these to help him if he struggles with separation throughout the day. The nursery has also identified very quickly his learning needs/likes and caters to these so my son engages more in his learning.
Such an amazing nursery - definitely recommend.

Sunshine Corner is a fantastic nursery with great staff. Everyone knew our child’s name from the first day, and they were made to feel very welcome every morning!

I am over the moon with the care and support all the staff members have provided for my son at Sunshine Corner Nursery, I have never felt uneasy about leaving him when attending his sessions as I know he is well looked after, cared for and treated good. I am sad our nursery journey has come to an end as my youngest starts school this September. I thank everyone at Sunshine Corner for helping both my children start out in life and helping me to work whilst not worrying about them. I highly recommend this nursery to all my family and friends. I have never met such a lovely, welcoming, warm bunch of ladies, this is how all nurseries should be! Both my sons who attended this setting will definitely remember their nursery days, as will I from a parent perspective. All the best! Carry on being awesome!
