Sunshine Corner Nursery is run by a well-qualified, kind and caring team who make the most of indoor and outdoor learning environments in order to support positive early years learning.

The nursery offers 57 places a day and all professionals are trained to pursue key EYFS objectives.

Part of the Early Years Alliance, the nursery offers a friendly and secure approach to learning for children aged from birth to five years old.

A team of caring, friendly and qualified staff help each child develop at their own pace in a safe, friendly and fun environment and actively encourage parents to become involved in the life of the nursery.

Sunshine Corner is located in Kent, Canterbury, and was assessed as 'Good' by Ofsted on January 10th 2023.

The nursery is open from 7.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, 51 weeks of the year (closed 1 week for Christmas), excluding bank holidays and three staff training days.

The children have been celebrating World Book Day and cultural events.

Impact on children's learning

• Learning about how different cultures have different celebrations and celebrating Martisor, the beginning of Spring.
• Being creative and making their own stories for World Book Day.
• Building on fine motor skills, communication and language and developing imaginations.

The children are still extending their learning by learning how stories are written and have and have a children's author coming to visit.

The nursery and the staff are amazing my daughter hasn't been going there long and has settled amazingly, made very good bonds with the staff and it's been a pleasure to watch. My child's experience with their previous nursery wasn't a great one so to see them thriving here is beyond amazing, and me
and their dad couldn't be more happier.

I could not be happier that my daughter got a place at Sunshine Corner Nursery. She settled in so quickly and has grown such lovely relationships with both the adults and children alike. She is actively excited to go to nursery, which speaks for itself. Her speech, roleplay, counting, and signing have
all improved so much, and overall I am pleased with the confident, fun little girl they are helping nurture her into.

The manager and the team at Sunshine Corner are the best things to happen in our sun's development. Words like exceptional and incredible are not enough to describe them and express our gratitude. The manager and the team supported our son through his educational journey, providing him with tailored
learning strategies and emotional support. Thanks to all of them, he learned so much. The team helped him develop a lot, especially physically, emotionally, and intellectually, as well as in numeracy and literacy.
We cannot thank them enough for that. Once again, we want to use this opportunity to express our gratitude to the manager and the entire team. Team, each one of you is phenomenal, and we will do everything in our power for our son to keep these memories.

Staff are all very friendly and welcoming. They are always on hand to listen to any queries or concerns. The nursery environment is lovely, with indoor and outdoor spaces and a range of activities for the children to do. They have always provided feedback on how our little girl is doing, and we're very
caring when she slipped and hurt her lip. We have had the pleasure of bringing her to the nursery for five months, two days a week, and she loves her time there.

I am very happy with how my son's transition to nursery is going. The staff are amazing and supportive. My son has taken a while to settle as he has spent three years at home with his mum, but the staff go above and beyond trying to find ways to help him settle. They also liaise with me regularly throughout
the day to tell me how he is getting on. I couldn't be happier with the support from his key workers; they are doing an amazing job. His key workers treat him as an individual and ask me about his preferences and likes, as they use these to help him if he struggles with separation throughout the day.
The nursery has also identified very quickly his learning needs/likes and caters to these so my son engages more in his learning.
Such an amazing nursery - definitely recommend.

Sunshine Corner is a fantastic nursery with great staff. Everyone knew our child’s name from the first day, and they were made to feel very welcome every morning!
The room is clean, and there is always access to the outside area, which our child loves.

I am over the moon with the care and support all the staff members have provided for my son at Sunshine Corner Nursery, I have never felt uneasy about leaving him when attending his sessions as I know he is well looked after, cared for and treated good. I am sad our nursery journey has come to an end
as my youngest starts school this September. I thank everyone at Sunshine Corner for helping both my children start out in life and helping me to work whilst not worrying about them. I highly recommend this nursery to all my family and friends. I have never met such a lovely, welcoming, warm bunch of ladies, this is how all nurseries should be! Both my sons who attended this setting will definitely remember their nursery days, as will I from a parent perspective. All the best! Carry on being awesome!

Sunshine Corner Nursery is amazing. I couldn't thank them enough for the care they have given my daughter for the past 4 years. They go above and beyond for our children. I have used both the breakfast club and the stay later club which was perfect for me as a working mother.

I am so pleased we were able to get a place for my son 3 and a half years ago.
The nursery has consistently provided excellent levels of care, great safeguarding in place to ensure safety, provided excellent meals and learning through play. They have supported not only our son but as first-time parents
helped us navigate different milestones, such as supporting potty training without which it would have been a much more daunting task.
The staff are so kind and caring, you can tell they genuinely really care for the children, really taking the time to get to know them and their interest in creating a fun, educational safe space for them.
This dedication and passion for providing an exceptional standard of childcare is evident from the management level right through to key persons, nursery staff, chef and trainees. I could not recommend an establishment more.

The staff are brilliant. The different age groups have lots to do. Always a different learning experience each week. All of my children have attended the nursery over the years and never had a problem; they have all enjoyed their time at Sunshine Corner Nursery.

A very welcoming and friendly environment for the little ones. The nursery is totally inclusive and provides the children with lots of opportunities to play and learn with all individuals. Different foods and stories from around the world and topics that are relevant to the news. All activities are
logged for us to see, and we have regular 'reports' and lots of weekly photos. Plenty of time is spent in outdoor play in all sorts of weather ( all dressed accordingly!)
Feel very fortunate that my grandson is able to experience such a nursery.

Highly recommend this setting. You must add your baby to the waiting list to stand a chance of space come preschool age, but it is worth the wait. My child has come on leaps and bounds since joining a year ago.

Sunshine Corner has been amazing with my son from the beginning.
They have always supported him in every way, including as he has moved into the bigger rooms, as he personally found this challenging.
They have all been available to discuss anything, whether that be office-related or general queries,
with the nursery staff.
I really feel lucky that our son is able to go here. He is learning all the time; he is happy and cared for. As a parent, we could not wish for more.
