A spacious nursery in Swanscombe.

The bright and welcoming Swanscombe day nursery provides quality care to children aged 3 months to 5 years. The day nursery and preschool in Swanscombe is located just half a mile from Swanscombe town centre and Swanscombe Railway Station. They have a buggy storage area and an on-site car park to make pick-up and drop-off as convenient for you as possible.

As you step through their doors, you'll feel the warmth of their caring and experienced staff who are dedicated to creating a nurturing environment for your children. Like a second family, the team fosters a sense of belonging and security, making every child feel right at home. They love encouraging your child to explore all of their favourite extracurricular activities. This is why they offer ‘Hartbeeps’ sensory classes and football sessions with the support of a sports coach. Our daughter joined Swanscombe Bright Horizons just as she turned one and has been there for nearly a year now. The staff were so friendly and welcoming from the very beginning. They all take the time to get to know the children, even if they aren’t assigned to their room. There is a really homely feeling
to the nursery. They do lots of messy play and encourage the children to try new things but also comfort them if they aren’t sure. The food is varied, which is great for them to explore new tastes. The staff give feedback on how your little one's day has been at the end of the day, and there is an app where the staff upload what your child has eaten/nappy changes/nap times, etc which, is really useful. We couldn’t recommend this nursery enough. Our little one has thrived since she joined, and It has made returning to work much easier knowing she comes out of the nursery happy every day!

My experience at Bright Horizons has mostly been positive and appreciated by my child too. They excellently support children with special needs, like mine with social and communication challenges, by effectively implementing therapist-recommended plans. My child very much enjoys the company of the staff,
especially their keyworker. The nursery's layout, especially its outdoor spaces, encourages healthy exploration. Extra activities, like Mother's Day celebrations, add to their service, creating cherished memories. The convenience of onsite parking is useful, though it can be crowded at peak times. Receiving items my child has helped create, like vegetables, is delightful, offering insight into their activities. Improvements are needed in staff communication, especially during handovers, as information about my child's day is often lacking. The management is always helpful, enhancing the nursery's welcoming atmosphere. Their approach to catering to picky eaters, with a set menu and alternative commendable.

My son started in May 2023 and has really enjoyed his time at the nursery so far. He’s settled in so well and walks into the room to his key person without any tears. He’s developed lovely relationships with the staff in baby care 2. The staff are always caring and let me know how he’s been. The app
is fantastic, lots of information on how he’s eaten and slept throughout the day. The menu is varied and my son loves the meals provided. Really pleased with our choice of nursery so far.

My little girl has been at Bright Horizons Swanscombe since 2021. She has special educational needs and has interaction and communication difficulties. The nursery, particularly the nursery manager and SENCO, have been so supportive of her. Everything from adjustments to her everyday care - to make
her comfortable, happy and encouraged to try new things and help her to interact with others - to apply for an EHCP, setting up a specialist teacher who supports her, implementing Speech and Language techniques, advice on schooling, all to help her progression. They have taken the time to understand her and support her and us as parents. I also love that every room has its own outside space so that your child can explore, as my little girl loves being outside! Please bear in mind if you have a picky eater that Bright Horizons has a set food menu, but the nursery do try to offer some alternatives. I am very thankful for the team’s support at Bright Horizons.

Really pleased with the nursery so far, my 9 month old daughter has just started. The manager and the team in baby care have made her feel so welcome and she is settling so quickly. I was very nervous about her starting at 9 months, but the team have posted lots of pictures of her having a great time

My daughter started at Bright Horizons Swanscombe in June 2022 at just 4 months old and I have to say the nursery has just been amazing since day 1. My daughter has some medical needs and the nursery have just put me at ease and supported me through every stage of this.
Living far away from my family
means I have little support local to me, however, the nursery really does feel like my daughter's second family - she has such amazing relationships with her key people. The management team have been really supportive of my child's needs and are always there to talk to if I need advice.
Overall, I cannot recommend the nursery more, I was an anxious first-time mummy putting my trust in the team at Bright Horizons Swanscombe and it paid off. My daughter has learnt so much since starting at the nursery and the family app allows me to have so much involvement in her learning and development.

My granddaughter has just started at this nursery I had to collect her on her 1st week as she was unwell. I must say what a lovely friendly nursery from the moment I arrived. All staff were very welcoming and genuinely concerned about the welfare of the little one. She seems very happy to be there and

I am impressed with the level of professionalism/expertise demonstrated by the teachers. They always make time to communicate with me and keep me informed about my daughter's progress/activities and offer guidance on how I can continue her development at home.
The nursery school itself is a wonderful
environment, with bright and stimulating classrooms, outdoor play area, and a variety of toys and equipment. As parent, it gives me great peace of mind knowing that my child is in such a safe and inviting setting.
Every day, she comes home with a smile on her face and new skills to show off, from sensory exploration to social interaction.
I am particularly grateful for the individual attention, taking the time to understand her needs and interests and tailoring their approach accordingly. It's clear that they genuinely care about her.
Overall, I cannot recommend this nursery school and its staff highly enough and I feel so lucky to have found such an amazing setting for my daughter.

My daughter started at Bright Horizons, Swanscombe in May at only 7 months old. The team have been fantastic at making me feel at ease leaving her in their care. I get regular updates through the app and pictures of her day, which is brilliant! The nursery is always clean and management staff are amazing
and so welcoming, the rooms are amazing and very stimulating for every child!

My little 'un' has been at Swanscombe, Bright Horizons for a year and a half and has been well looked after through her growing months.

From the moment my baby was registered at the nursery they have been amazing - from keeping in touch calls/emails to arranging settle-in sessions, communication has been amazing. We were invited to attend events such as Mother’s Day craft afternoon even though my baby hadn’t started yet. As a first-time
mum with a young baby I was extremely anxious about her starting the nursery, but the team in baby care have put my worries at ease and made me feel so comfortable leaving her with them. A family book with all my daughter's family photos was made ready for her to start, she had her own peg before she started so from day one she had a sense of belonging.
I couldn’t recommend this nursery more if I tried! I have been truly blown away with the care for my child. The nursery administrator has been quick to answer questions and is always smiley and welcoming.
My daughter has a dairy allergy which fills me with dread, but the nursery has bent over backwards to ensure her needs are met. Amazing!

I have always been really impressed with the level of care shown by all of the workers here. My son has been exposed to so much he wouldn't have had a chance to experience at home, from language lessons to yoga. He really enjoys being attending. We are very appreciative of the care and professionalism that the team has. Despite all the risks in the current climate, the nursery has done everything to remain open and look after our daughter so we could continue working. Our daughter has developed so much due to the varied activities she does
every day. I like the diary that documents her day as we are assured that she is well cared for, trying new foods and she always comes home with paintings and photos. We are thankful for the staff courtesy calls whenever she has a fall or a little accident which is rare.
The teachers are always cheerful and give really detailed handovers. We cannot be more thankful!

Joining a nursery during a pandemic was never an easy decision, but both of us being key workers, we weren’t left with much choice. Understandably we were both anxious, especially not being able to view the nursery prior to starting. However, we were put at ease so quickly, the management team kept
in touch to ensure all questions were answered and all worries were put to bed straight away. Our child was allocated a key person before they even entered the nursery and they phoned prior to our child starting to make sure everything was okay and to find out everything there was to know about our little one. On arrival on our first day, we were greeted quickly and felt reassured, we were given leaflets all about the room our child was in and we were called around two hours after dropping off to tell us what a good time our child had. Communication has been amazing from registering until now which has really helped us get to know everyone and feel that our child is safe.

Amazing nursery. It’s so hard to begin with as you are trusting someone with the most precious thing in the world, but they make it so easy. Made us feel so comfortable. My daughter's key worker really is the loveliest person, my little girl really adores her. Really pleased with it all. Really secure
too, which is another factor out of the thousands, that I love about this place.

I am quite happy. The only improvement I can think of is more detailed information of child's activity. You may wish to look into an online website where parents can log-in to their child's account and see everything in terms of their daily activity and/or overall progress. Some other nurseries use

Job Title: Nursery Manager

I have been involved in the early years sector since 2012, and my journey with Bright Horizons began in 2017. I started my career as a nursery nurse in a sizable nursery back in 2012 and have steadily progressed to become a Nursery Manager. Along the way, I have attained a level 3 diploma in childcare and further education, as well as a level 3 diploma in leadership and management. I am also qualified as a SENDCO, and I am currently pursuing my level 5 diploma in business management.


My role as a Nursery Manager is something I am truly passionate about. My goal is to provide top-notch care and education, creating an inclusive, engaging, and exciting environment where all children can learn and thrive.

Hi, my name is Aynsley and I am the Nursery Manager.


Since 2015, I have been actively involved in the early years sector, and my journey in this field has been truly fulfilling. Prior to this, I spent six years working in a SEND department, where I had the privilege of working closely with children. Throughout my career, I have consistently sought to enhance my skills and knowledge to better serve the children in my care.


I am proud to hold a level 3 diploma in children's learning and development, as well as a level 3 diploma in leadership and management. These qualifications have been instrumental in shaping my professional growth and allowing me to take on greater responsibilities.


My progression within Bright Horizons has been significant, having started as a bank staff member and now proudly serving as the Deputy Nursery Manager. It's been an incredible journey, and I'm grateful for the opportunities that have come my way.


As the Deputy Nursery Manager, I am deeply passionate about my role and the impact I can make on the lives of children and their families. My primary focus is to provide high-quality childcare with enriching environments that foster learning and growth. One of the ways I achieve this is by mentoring and supporting our dedicated staff, helping them develop their own skills and expertise.


Being a good role model to others is also important to me. I believe that leading by example is a powerful way to inspire positive change and encourage the delivery of high-quality care across the nursery.


I wake up every day with a sense of purpose and dedication to making a difference in the lives of the children we care for. It is a privilege to contribute to their early years' development and create a nurturing space where they can flourish. I am excited about the journey ahead and the continued opportunities to learn, grow, and positively impact the lives of those in my care.
