A spacious nursery in Swanscombe.

The bright and welcoming Swanscombe day nursery provides quality care to children aged 3 months to 5 years. The day nursery and preschool in Swanscombe is located just half a mile from Swanscombe town centre and Swanscombe Railway Station. They have a buggy storage area and an on-site car park to make pick-up and drop-off as convenient for you as possible.

As you step through their doors, you'll feel the warmth of their caring and experienced staff who are dedicated to creating a nurturing environment for your children. Like a second family, the team fosters a sense of belonging and security, making every child feel right at home. They love encouraging your child to explore all of their favourite extracurricular activities. This is why they offer ‘Hartbeeps’ sensory classes and football sessions with the support of a sports coach. There is also a dedicated cookery area, where your child can mix, whip and fold in the cooking club!

To support your child outside of regular nursery hours, they also have a breakfast, after school and holiday club for children aged 3 months to 8 years, where they can participate in a range of fun activities.

My child started nursery after her 1st birthday. She has settled in really well and loves going in to nursery. She has learnt so much and has picked up lots of new skills. Her key worker and other staff in her room are attentive and keep us updated. The app is really great and I keep an eye on this
when at work. I love seeing pictures of what thy get up to during the day. They keep the children active and my daughter loves it. My daughter is a picky eater but still manages to eat at nursery which a really good thing. I will highly recommend this nursery and I am very pleased i made this choice for my daughter.

I have a young baby in Swanscombe nursery and the ladies there have been amazing. He is doted on by everyone (not just designated carers), they are always so helpful & supportive in every way, it feels very good to know he is in a safe space with amazing staff. He was very young when he started therefore
I was quite nervous but his confidence and abilities have come on exponentially since he's even there.

My LO joined just after her 1st birthday and I was incredibly nervous as she'd never been cared for by another other than mum and dad. We were offered settling in sessions (free) which were invaluable and the staff took the time to understand her routine and what she enjoys.
All the staff are absolutely
wonderful and clearly very knowledgable. My LO adapted to all the staff very quickly and has such a fantastic time at nursery ever day - no tears on drop off or pick up and is extremely happy every time. The food is amazing and there's a variety of food that she probably wouldn't have tried otherwise!
The activities are fantastic for their development and the updates on the app are so lovely in seeing how her day is going. The forest school is her favourite thing and the garden!
Can't recommend the nursery enough, my LO loves it so much which is more than I ever expected and I really have no mum guilt as she has the time of her life every day!

My 18 month old daughter only started at Bright Horizons Swanscombe Day Nursery and Preschool in September 2024 but has already grown to love her time there. My son started at the nursery in January this year. He was dubious about starting and ended up in tears for the first few weeks. The staff were amazing and patient with him, allowing him to come in and engage at his own pace without forcing him to remove his coat or interact immediately. He now loves
it and is straight in without a backward glance. He is a lot more adventurous with food and eats food at nursery that he wouldn’t touch at home. He is tired out at the end of each day!
The staff are very interactive and plan activities for the parents to attend. They are approachable and will follow what is best for your child.

My son has been with Swanscombe Bright Horizons for about 2 years and when he started he was quite delayed due to COVID. The nursery assured me I wasn’t alone and since then he has come on leaps and bounds they have taken their time even though they are so busy to get the best out of my son and I couldn’t
be more appreciative for their support advice and love they have for him! I will be sad to leave in September but they have given my son the best possible start in life!

My daughter has been at this nursery since she was 1 and is very close to graduating from preschool. She made lots of friends but the bond she formed with all her key workers from the beginning has been so lovely to watch. There is an app in which you can see what the children are up to and at preschool
level especially, it’s amazing to see the topics they learn about. She comes home and shares new words she learnt in French, and the same words in Makaton (sign language) and I’m constantly blown away at the knowledge and variety of things she picks up at Bright Horizons.

My daughter has been attending the nursery from 9 months old, she is now 2 and absolutely loves her time there!
We have recently amended her days from 1-2 and she has also recently moved up to another room, this has been a huge transition in which she has had lots of support in, I’d like to give one
member of staff, in particular, a special thanks as she was brilliant throughout the transition, my daughter also built the most wonderful relationship with her so it was a shame that she couldn’t join her in her new class, however, I’m sure she will develop the best relationship with her new ‘key person’.
All of the staff are absolutely fantastic and I feel extremely confident knowing that she is going to be provided with the best care whilst she attends.

My kid goes to preschool and I can see a lot of change in her. At first, she used to cry to go to nursery but the staff handled it so well now she happily goes to nursery. I can see her skills improving a lot and she enjoys it well. I will definitely recommend Bright Horizons Swanscombe Day Nursery

My son has been here just gone two months and we have seen significant developments since. The nursery is perfect for him. He runs in daily. He loves it so much he gets upset that he can’t come in on the weekends! Just a testament of the incredible job the staff are doing. The teachers he has are 10/10.
They pay so much attention to him but most importantly, they are intentional. As first-time parents, it can be a bit nerve-wracking leaving your child elsewhere but we get constant updates on their activities, food intake and nap times. Simply a well-run nursery. We love it here.

Wonderful staff and nursery, my daughter was a member at the Dartford branch and I moved over to this one and I have seen a massive difference! The staff are so warm and welcoming and my daughter has grown so much in confidence and had a lovely relationship with her key workers! She really enjoyed going

My child seems to enjoy coming to the nursery and has made a nice little group of friends. The staff are all lovely and my child always speaks highly of them. Would be great to get some more real-time updates as I like to discuss what’s happened in the day on the way home.

Very friendly and helpful staff. We have sent both our children to the nursery from 1 year old. Our daughter still likes going into nursery even though now at school.
Special mention to the staff member in Pre-School 1 for going the extra mile with my son and his development with speech. Works very
closely with the external speech therapist and genuinely does care about his development. For this we thank you.

My daughter loves coming to nursery. She feels comfortable with the staff and has made huge progress from when she first started. She has made friends and enjoys playing together. She loves the craft table and the different activities the staff set up.
The staff in her room are really good at updating
the app, so I know what she has eaten that day and always update me on pick up about what she has done throughout the day.

My child has been attending the nursery since he was one, since 2021, and he has always enjoyed going and loves all the staff working there. I find them to be accommodating and helpful. I have been involved in the early years sector since 2012, and my journey with Bright Horizons began in 2017. I started my career as a nursery nurse in a sizable nursery back in 2012 and have steadily progressed to become a Nursery Manager. Along the way, I have attained a level 3 diploma in childcare and further education, as well as a level 3 diploma in leadership and management. I am also qualified as a SENDCO, and I am currently pursuing my level 5 diploma in business management.


My role as a Nursery Manager is something I am truly passionate about. My goal is to provide top-notch care and education, creating an inclusive, engaging, and exciting environment where all children can learn and thrive.

Throughout my career, I have consistently sought to enhance my skills and knowledge to better serve the children in my care.


I am proud to hold a level 3 diploma in children's learning and development, as well as a level 3 diploma in leadership and management. These qualifications have been instrumental in shaping my professional growth and allowing me to take on greater responsibilities.


My progression within Bright Horizons has been significant, having started as a bank staff member and now proudly serving as the Deputy Nursery Manager. It's been an incredible journey, and I'm grateful for the opportunities that have come my way.


As the Deputy Nursery Manager, I am deeply passionate about my role and the impact I can make on the lives of children and their families. My primary focus is to provide high-quality childcare with enriching environments that foster learning and growth. One of the ways I achieve this is by mentoring and supporting our dedicated staff, helping them develop their own skills and expertise.


Being a good role model to others is also important to me. I believe that leading by example is a powerful way to inspire positive change and encourage the delivery of high-quality care across the nursery.


I wake up every day with a sense of purpose and dedication to making a difference in the lives of the children we care for. It is a privilege to contribute to their early years' development and create a nurturing space where they can flourish.
