A well-run nursery with lots of open space for the children to play; each room has its own garden as well as the free flow garden. The menu is excellent. My 3-year-old attends now and my eldest also attended the nursery. He’s 7 now and has special needs. When it was becoming apparent he wasn’t developing as he should be the nursery staff were very helpful and supportive. The main staff dealing with him have now left but the manager is still there and the values and standards remain the same. Finally, my friends pay for wipes and nappies at their nurseries..here everything is included in the monthly fee.

I have 2 children at this nursery, my 4-year-old and 19 month old have attended since they were 1. Everything has always run smoothly, they both really enjoy nursery and I feel that every effort is made to make it an enjoyable learning experience. The only negative has been the high turnover of staff. I hope this will not continue.

Leaving my children at nursery for the first time is without doubt one of the hardest things I’ve had to do. You are leaving your children in the care of people you don’t really know having been with them every day since they were born. What has got us through is the amazing staff at this nursery, the manager has built a team that really genuinely cares and goes above and beyond every single day to make sure our children feel home from home. I have a new found respect for the nursery staff and the job they do. Two staff members, in particular, are some of the most professional and caring people I have had the pleasure to meet. You could not wish for a safer, happier and caring environment for your children.

I have had two children in this lovely nursery. The second still currently attends.
Bright Horizons have always been informative and attentive to both the children and my needs. They are not simply babysitters, but make a great effort to know your children and engage with them.
They have a range of activities, and food/drink offered are healthy and varied.

Kids feel welcomed and safe, which in turn always puts my mind at ease.

My son has been going to this nursery since he was 8 months old. He is now nearly two and cannot wait to get out the door to get to nursery two days a week. He has formed very strong connections with his key workers and is growing into a confident little person.
The staff members are very friendly and accommodating and it is nice to know that my child is in a clean, safe and friendly environment. They try to be flexible with almost everything from nap times to meals and I feel reassured every time I ring just to see how he's doing.

I would definitely recommend this nursery to my friends and people I know.

My son has been going to this nursery since he was one and a half. I did check out eight other nurseries before I chose one. He is now 3 and a half years and he loves it there. The staff are very friendly and I've never regretted my decision and even when I have worried about his development, the staff are always happy to talk to you and give you any advice they can, they do so much with the kids. I’m so happy with Bright Horizons Swanscombe Day Nursery and Preschool.

As parents, we have been incredibly happy with the secure and caring environment the nursery has offered to both children. Our first son now almost 7, started at 2.5 years when we moved to the area. He formed strong bonds with his key workers throughout his time there and frequently asks after them even now. His experience there has meant he is a happy and socially confident boy, which has benefitted him hugely at Primary School. Our daughter joined the nursery at 8 months and has just turned three. We were nervous about leaving her at such a young age, but the staff instilled confidence in us. She is thriving at the nursery, having formed strong bonds with both the staff and other children. I know during their time at nursery my children are happy and safe.

Meal times are well structured and balanced. The children have daily access to free-flowing outside spaces and take part in a wide range of activities from baking and crafts, to messy play in the mud kitchen. Highly recommended!

My eldest son attended this nursery 9 years ago and now my youngest 2 children attend (both from the age of 7 months, one is now 2.5 and the youngest 1.5). Many of the staff are still there from when my eldest attended and they all remember him. All the staff know all the children even though they may not be under their care. My children love this nursery!

Both my boys have been at the nursery since they were babies and we’re very happy with the care they receive. The staff are all lovely and genuinely care for our kids, both boys have really good bonds with their respective key workers. I love that they get lots of access to outside space and get to do all sorts of things that we’d never do at home (particularly the messy stuff!!)

The office staff deserve mention too, they’re always really helpful and welcoming. A lovely nursery

Our son has been attending Swanscombe from the age of 18 months (he is now nearly 4). The teachers in each of the rooms have always gone the extra mile to ensure all the children settle in and feel at home. He has always felt comfortable going to nursery and I too have felt confident leaving him in the capable hands of the teachers. I would highly recommend this nursery as my son has thrived in this setting.

This a fantastic setting and I cannot commend the staff enough on their dedication and commitment to the setting and the children in their care. Both my children attended the nursery and one still attends currently. The staff are friendly and always willing to take comments and accommodate any specific requirements necessary for the children's well being. My daughter has been at the nursery since September 2016, she started off in Tiggers. Since being there she has progressed very well under the guidance of the staff at the nursery and loves every minute of it there. She is now in Honey Pots and on a Friday they have an activity with the sports coach, archery or football are her favourites, which she absolutely loves.

A huge thank you to all the staff at Bright Horizons Swanscombe xxxxx

Staff very friendly and helpful. Have been extremely accommodating towards my autistic son. Always greeted with a smile. All of the staff in his room are lovely and even give me suggestions on how I can help him at home. I was concerned about putting my son in nursery as he is non-verbal but I am so glad I went ahead with it. He has come on leaps and bounds in such a short space of time.

Megan Job Title: Nursery Manager
Megan

I have been involved in the early years sector since 2012, and my journey with Bright Horizons began in 2017. I started my career as a nursery nurse in a sizable nursery back in 2012 and have steadily progressed to become a Nursery Manager. Along the way, I have attained a level 3 diploma in childcare and further education, as well as a level 3 diploma in leadership and management. I am also qualified as a SENDCO, and I am currently pursuing my level 5 diploma in business management.

My role as a Nursery Manager is something I am truly passionate about. My goal is to provide top-notch care and education, creating an inclusive, engaging, and exciting environment where all children can learn and thrive.

Aynsley Job Title: Deputy Manager
Aynsley

Hi, my name is Aynsley and I am the Nursery Manager.

Since 2015, I have been actively involved in the early years sector, and my journey in this field has been truly fulfilling. Prior to this, I spent six years working in a SEND department, where I had the privilege of working closely with children. Throughout my career, I have consistently sought to enhance my skills and knowledge to better serve the children in my care.

I am proud to hold a level 3 diploma in children's learning and development, as well as a level 3 diploma in leadership and management. These qualifications have been instrumental in shaping my professional growth and allowing me to take on greater responsibilities.

My progression within Bright Horizons has been significant, having started as a bank staff member and now proudly serving as the Deputy Nursery Manager. It's been an incredible journey, and I'm grateful for the opportunities that have come my way.

As the Deputy Nursery Manager, I am deeply passionate about my role and the impact I can make on the lives of children and their families. My primary focus is to provide high-quality childcare with enriching environments that foster learning and growth. One of the ways I achieve this is by mentoring and supporting our dedicated staff, helping them develop their own skills and expertise.

Being a good role model to others is also important to me. I believe that leading by example is a powerful way to inspire positive change and encourage the delivery of high-quality care across the nursery.

I wake up every day with a sense of purpose and dedication to making a difference in the lives of the children we care for. It is a privilege to contribute to their early years' development and create a nurturing space where they can flourish. I am excited about the journey ahead and the continued opportunities to learn, grow, and positively impact the lives of those in my care.
